This is my local spot for coffee. I usually drink my coffee at home but I recently found out that they have this "pup cup" for dogs and I wanted my dog to have one. It's a little whipped cream type treat and my dog just loves it! I hadn't been in the place for a year or so and I was surprised to see all the pastries and treats they have now, I'm really out of the loop these days :) The parking is a premium at this location so you need to be patient here. read more

Headed to Starbucks for some refreshments; when we entered the shop, there was a small group of people at the register and another customer waiting for her drink but other than that the place was fairly empty. Service was pretty slow, we had to wait to place our order because there was only one barista and she was taking her sweet time to perfect the customer's order ahead of us. Finally, a secondary barista came around the corner (kudos to him because he washed his hands first when he went behind the counter) and the queue started to finally move. We ordered a venti Mango Dragonfruit Refresher and an Iced Salted Carmel cold brew. I had a sip of my sister's cold brew, it was tasty but a bit too bitter for my liking. I liked my refresher but had to add some Splenda to make it a little sweeter. Overall, the visit was alright; the wait time could have been shorter but c'est la vie. read more

To make the Starbucks Spider-Man drink, ask the barista to add oat milk to the first fill line, then pour in strawberry purée. Then add one pump of mocha flavor, three pumps of raspberry syrup and four scoops of java chips. Then add the chain's cream base and a Venti scoop of ice. I like the Plumb location for the indoor and outdoor sitting options, whether morning or evening, perfect spot for a meeting, to hang out, sit and drink or to-go. The staff is very friendly and even when they are out of a certain ingredient, they will make suggestions and try to find you a better fit. read more

You're either a Starbucks fan or you're not, and the coffee is pretty consistent among locations. However, the ambiance and staff can vary wildly between them. This location has the friendliest workers and is always clean. They have lots of seating, including outdoor for the warmer months. 10/10 for literally every single employee! read more

I see the help wanted signs on the window but when a customer alerts you that there is a problem in the bathroom the protocol for good customer service is to thank them and tell them you are aware not give them attitude. Went into Starbucks to order a coffee. Cashier was handling his hair. I then asked to see the manager and they said the manager was out and then I asked to see the shift lead. After the runaround an individual presented themselves as the shift lead. I explained to them that the staff was handling his hair and then was handling my coffee cup and lid without washing his hands. I was given the reply "not important" and to take it up with the staff member next time. I then stated it is not my position to correct staff. I also requested to talk with the manager but the staff offered no assistance with that request. I'm very disappointed with Starbucks. read more

This Starbucks is not much different than the others. Follow the formula, get a great cup of coffee. That's one of the secrets to their success. How many times do you find a pizzeria that you really dig, then when they open a second location....it tastes nothing like the original? What a drag. It doesn't matter if your in New York or Nevada with 'Bucks. Consistency. Here is the dissimilitude. Customer service and atmosphere. Here the staff was great but the cafe was in need of attention. Taking into account they have 1 hour to closing shouldn't matter. One of two bathrooms had no tp and the other was pretty disgusting. One word and they got right on it. The atmosphere is really incredible. I especially love the outdoor seating (so much so that I stayed and wrote this review). Great wall art and plenty of seating inside. Had to get my morning coffee for our meeting , and as always, I get my tall regular coffee with room for cream and sugar. Ask for my Onion Bagel with cream cheese, if they have my onion flavor, otherwise I will get another one. Cool friendly baristas here in the Reno area. Nice size busy Starbucks location. This is the only Starbucks I've been to since moving to Reno. The service is always wonderful with staff that goes above and beyond. The establishment is clean and distancing is enforced. It's a Starbucks in a mainly residential area. It seems this is the only time of year I stop in Starbucks, as for some reason I usually receive several gift cards at Christmas- hint - I love the local Hub and Dorinda's- they both offer gift cards. This location has some outside seating. And between 7 to 10a the line can be to the door. On most days this location can move that line in and out pretty quickly. I did notice the other day the now offer a spot to pick up preorders that are made online- very fast and efficient. Even though the parking lot is a bit of a pain to get in and out of. Depending on the direction you want to leave, depends on the exit you must use. Plumb is a one way out going east, so you might need to use Arlington go in the other directions. read more

OUTSIDE: Stairs and a ramp that go up to the front entrance. Outside seats and tables to enjoy the nice weather. INSIDE: Typical Starbucks feel. This location has a lot of seating, and a big long table in the back with stool type seating. Quite a few people on this Saturday late morning sitting inside and outside. However, when I walked in there was no line with one guy who came in after me. ORDERED: Yogurt blueberry muffin warmed. She used a tissue paper to grab it so I'm glad to see proper sanitary practices. When it was done heating up, they promptly took it out and placed it on the pick-up table. Tall iced white chocolate mocha at first she grabbed as hot and started writing until I asked for it iced. Whipped cream on top because I forgot to ask for it without. STAFF: The girl who rang me up seemed neutral, not friendly, and not mean. I apologized for not telling her it was iced, but she didn't say anything like "No worries that's ok." She just grabbed a different cup with a blank expression and re-wrote it. I thought she would ask for my name to write on the cup, but she didn't. I'm not sure what Starbucks policy is on that if they only take names when it's busy or what. Seems a bit more personal when they call your name instead of calling out what you ordered. OVERALL: A-OK in my book. My drink tasted good and there wasn't an excessive amount of ice like some places do. If the staff was a bit more up friendly then I'd probably add another star. read more

I give 3 stars to this Starbucks. (Weep) sadly, the few times I've been to this SB location I've been kind of bummed out by the inconsistent service. There was 3 people working this afternoon, but it appears only 1 barista preparing drinks. My latte tasted funny and not in a ha-ha way, more like, for $5.13 this latte sucks. I said to the only barista working that I think they used the wrong milk and perhaps that sugar-free syrup and she looked at me like I was crazy. I feel a little weird reviewing a chain store as big as Starbucks, because I feel like they are all very similar, but here goes nothing! I like this Starbucks. It has the most reliable wifi of any Starbucks I've been to. The drinks are consistent to all other Starbucks drinks I've had. They play fun cafe music that isn't distracting. The store is always clean, and the location is convenient with plenty of parking. The outdoor seating is nice, but can be distracting as it is located overlooking a very busy street. The metal chairs aren't crazy comfortable, but they have plush seating if you want it. I always come here to do work stuff so I've never paid close attention to speed when it comes to getting my drink out, but there is almost always a line when I'm here that seems to go quickly. Staff are very friendly and always pleasant and conversational while not being overbearing. read more

Of all the Starbucks in town, this is my go-to location. It helps that it's the closest location, but really it's about the staff. For the most part everyone that works here is very friendly. I've gotten to know a few of them over the years, and it's nice to go somewhere where you are recognized. I've gone to various coffee shops around town, and Starbucks is the most consistent in the way it makes its drinks. I just wish the atmosphere was more unique and had more character. read more

Atmosphere - A clean small location and very long. But this made moving around in the place easy. Lots of tables outside and we sat and drank for a little bit before we had to go. Food The wife and I went with just a cup of frou-frou with a slice of pumpkin bread. I had a Caramel Macchiato as usual it was really good and what I except from a Starbucks. The pumpkin bread was so moist. The unique thing about theirs was the pumpkin seeds baked on the top crust to give it that nice crunch. Service - Small line inside but gone almost as fast as I got it in. They had two cashiers working this location and before I knew it I had my drink. I got a caramel crumble ribbon crunch, the first time they made it it barely tasted like Carmel just plain ice. Asked a second time to remake the drink came out the same. The real poner of the employee was, " well we've already started making the drinks" and made them in to go cUps anyway. $10 for two drinks. I love this Starbucks! At my work, Friday morning starts off with a mandatory Starbucks run for front staff employees and I'm always the one willing to take on this task. Usually, I place 6-8 separate orders using each of my co-workers debit cards or cash. However, last Friday one of the doctors made a generous announcement that he would pay for everyone's Starbucks. A list of 30 something different drinks was made and I was off to Starbucks. I handed the gal at the register the list and told her she'd probably need backup. I'm honestly quite surprised that NONE of the drinks came out wrong, everything was perfect! The employees are always on top of it with putting stars on each of the drinks I have ordered. That way I'm not standing at the counter forcing myself to memorize which coworker of mine ordered what specific drink. We all know at least one person who gets carried away with their upside down caramel macchiato, extra pump of syrup, nonfat milk with one add shot. Lets face it, it also decreases the odds of me stealing another person's drink. The service is fast and friendly to say the least... I just wish they had a drive-thru! read more

I caved. I'm ashamed, yes. I fell prey to the dark side... *tear* As a general rule, I don't "do" Starbucks. I'm more happy to give my money to local mom 'n pop coffee shops (which tend to have better coffee anyway) than to a humongo multinational corporation that's focused on the bucks (which I think is a clever marketing ploy to get you thinking about "bucks" before you even enter the shop, making paying 5 dollars for bad coffee seem perfectly okay). However, Starbucks does have ONE thing going for it --- their iced and blended drinks; which are fine if you're foregoing the bean's flavor for sheer buzz-factor. I stopped into this establishment last week and was surprised to find a sort of "build your own frappaccino" menu. Which was frustrating in that it didn't give you anything to go off of. No "choose a base, a flavor, the number of shots, etc" to guide the f-ccino newbies, like myself. So, i asked the barista (o? is it baristo if he's a dude?) what he'd recommend. And he made this delicious concoction of Stevia sweetened base (low-calorie and no sugar...helloooo happy waistline) 3 shots of espresso and a low calorie caramel flavor with a few drizzles on top. Low calorie, flavorful, and cooled me off! Plus there's a cute little outdoor patio lined with rosebushes at this location as well as plenty of shade. The road noise is mildly irritating but becomes unnoticeable after a few minutes. My skeptic's raised eyebrow may have lowered a few millimeters. Touche, sbux, touche. read more
