First off, the coffee here is really good. Came here for an afternoon pick-me-up and it definitely did the trick. The marshmallow top on my "s'more the merrier" coffee was soooo delicious! Grabbed one of their speciality lattes and was helped quickly. The coffee is good but a little bit expensive! As expected in RPM (since everything is pricey) but the service was fast! The French Toast iced coffee was delicious and only a bit sweet. I definitely enjoyed the cinnamon flavors and it wasn't in your face - which some cinnamon inspired lattes tend to do. Cute store in this huge food court area. My barista was super super friendly. She took her time to explain the menu. I ended up choosing the matcha which she explained was made with ceremonial grade matcha. I think it was lavender or rose (?) matcha. I felt like the balance was just right and not too soapy. I could tell the matcha was a quality grade- but I just felt it was a little too much ice and became watery too quickly. Since it wasnt creamy also, I believe there was only a splash of milk, the lack of creaminess resulted in an overly watery and thin matcha. The girl working here was great! However, sadly I have to say this was the worst coffee we have ever had. I honestly hate writing bad reviews but I don't want someone else to come here and spend $8-$10 on a coffee that is super weak and doesn't even taste remotely good. We even paid extra and added extra shots of espresso and it didn't even taste like it had espresso in it. Also I don't recommend ordering the S'more latte cold. Main Vein has changed their set-up, so you can no longer enter through the side entrance. It looks really good though and they have a pretty cool neon sign that changes colors. I was there almost at closing, but was still greeted with a big smile and not rushed whatsoever. I also found out that they have added Boba to their menu. Finally, I went to check the Reno Public Market out and ran across Main Vien. This place had a great neon sign and direct access from outside, but also within the food court. It had a great look and feel, so I ordered my favorite coffee... a white mocha. I saw they used the same flavor I use at home so I was hopeful. The baristas were very nice and even offered a sampler of the Awaken they just made while I wait, which is caramel and French vanilla. It wasn't bad but a bit heavy on the flavoring, in my opinion. When I received my order, it wasn't very hot and seemed more of a kids temp. Also, it was a bit heavy on the milk and light on the espresso and very light on the flavor. The service was great, the coffee not so much. But I will give them another try the next time I'm in the area before I rule them out. read more

I went back again, and it is going to take me a bit but I came to the realization that they are closed on Tuesdays (the entire building), so with that being said I have to bump them to a 5 star. I only wish the side entrance (by the coffee shop) had a sign showing days and times for the previous time I went I didn't see any postings on the side door). I ordered the iced hypnosis with oat Milk, and a huge bear claw. I also had been eye-balling their mugs, which is lightweight and dishwasher friendly. So, $33 for 3 items. $22 for a Bag of beans, Their policy doesn't allow for having your coffee beans grounded. How many cups of coffee can you really get out of that small bag of beans, 4-6? I didn't realize they had a processing fee. There's a sign, but we didn't see it at all. The processing fee is charged by the owner of the building. The charge is inevitable, whether cash or card. The barista did her best to make experience a good one. However, the customer could've been notified of the charges before making the drinks. We would feel badly for refusing the espresso after this. They strictly offer espresso drinks and canned tea. My husband is not an avid coffee drinker, but after a shot of espresso here, he fell asleep when we went to the movies. He hates Starbucks with a passion, but would rather drink starbucks espresso over this. read more

My first time at Main Vein and it was great! It is located on the front right side of the Reno Public Market. You can use the main market entrance or a side door specific to the coffee shop. They have a very friendly staff and an open atmosphere just like the rest of the market space. They have bubble waffles which sounded amazing, but we had just ate before coming! They also have pastries available. The menu titled "the daily dose" has a list of their specialty lattes. I went with the Awaken which has caramel and french vanilla flavors added! I asked the barista if she thought it was better hot or iced and she suggested iced so it is easier to sip while you stroll around the market which can get warm when a lot of people are there. My drink was really good! Only downside was the price; it came out to over $7 for just the regular size once tax was added, not counting tip. This is on par with the rest of the vendors in the market which all seem a tad overpriced. However, I really liked this coffee shop and it's nice to know you're supporting local small businesses. They sent me a text receipt and then said they would send me a text once my drink was ready so I could shop around while I waited which was nice.
