This is my favourite coffee shop in Reno; everything about this place is phenomenal! Service: The staff is so warm and welcoming, eager to help you out if you have any questions on the menu. They really let their knowledge and personality shine through, making the experience from the second you walk in through the door. I've been here a few times and no matter the employee, they know their stuff (especially the guy who says he's an expert [I believe it!]). Ambience: As anyone else, I value cleanliness in a shop. Their surfaces are all maintained to a nice cleanliness: workers are keeping customer spaces clean, they wipe their counters frequently. The redolence of coffee is wonderful. Food & Drink: Each time I come here, I grab a seasonal drink and their blueberry cream cheese danish. Now, I am a person quite picky with coffee: there needs to be a balance if there are extra flavours present in the drink, and this shop nails it. I ordered their orange cardamom (I forgot the name!) latte, and it is one of the most favorite drinks I've historically tried. I definitely need to grab a bag of their medium roasts next time to take these profiles home. read more

Quality/Quantity - Met a friend here and she beat me to here even though I got here early to take my Yelp pictures. So sorry, limited pictures as I did not want to take up her time for Yelp, lol. Got a small coffee, it was VERY small. It did NOT even seem like an 8 oz cup?!?! But she filled it to the rim! So I drank it black, lol. My second cup today, so I only wanted a small. Very limited pastries at 2pm, see picture. So I decided to skip it. Ambiance - Beautiful location. Good size. Plenty of seating. Plenty of mall parking, mid day, in between meal times. And too early to go to Zephyr's wine bar, lol. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 4pm. Service - Counter service. The customer in front of me took forever; she was very confused, it was probably her first time here also... No fault of the employee. The employee was nice, acknowledged me, apologized for the wait, and said bye to us as we were leaving. Price - $4, expensive, but that is the cost for quality. This new Hub location is so cool! First of all, it's huge. So much open space and lots of seating. They have their basic menu and then their seasonal specialities. They also have some food items I didn't get to try but they looked delicious. I ordered the peach white tea off of their spring menu. I'm definitely a bit of a tea connoisseur so the way this is served made me so happy. It comes in its own individual steeper with a timer and a mug. White tea is very delicate so you never want to steep it too long or you risk burning the leaves. The tea was floral and fruity. Nice and light for the afternoon. This was the perfect spot for coffee and breakfast after our morning hike. Hub continues to be one of my favorite places for coffee. I also tried the Fritatta (with Brocolli), which comes with a little salad. So yummy and super satisfying!! The service at any Hub I go to is always great and although I find each location to have a certain uniqueness, it is always a cozy and welcoming vibe. Came in today for a to-go snack before my work day began. I got the avocado toast and a 12 oz Lavender Oat Latte. The ordering process was simple and both the cashier and the barista were kind and attentive. They smiled, chatted about my morning, and said hello and goodbye. There was the local coffee shop charm that I love at places like this - especially one that has been around for so long! The latte was delicious! The lavender was just enough to not taste soapy and it was hot and stayed hot. The toast was delicious and fluffy. Those pickled onions were absolutely amazing and next time I will be sure to request extra of those guys! read more

Hub Coffee Roaster is one of my favorite local coffee spots and just realized they opened one in South Reno! We decided to stop by for before heading out to run errands and the place was luckily not too busy. So first of all the space is very nice. It's very large with lots of places to sit whether hanging out for a short or long time. I was also very pleasantly surprised that they carried several baled good from Beloved Bakery, which is one of my current obsessions (specially the ham and cheese croissant). We ordered the Lavender Chai and Maple Sugar for drinks and the gam and cheese croissant, of course. The service was quick and everyone was very nice and everything came out tasting so delicious. Now that I know this is so close to me and that they carry Beloved Bakery items, I will definitely be coming back more often. read more

This is such a roomy place! AND they have some comfy seating. I've noticed most of the Starbucks only have hard chairs and tables anymore. I appreciate comfy seating choices, especially if you plan on being there a while working or chatting. I also appreciate the size of the area for seating. So many Starbucks today seem so cramped. I had a loose leaf peach blossom tea. The set up for it was gorgeous! It included a timer for steeping. I'll def be visiting to beat the heat and have a work session here and need to explore their lavender iced chai tea next. :) service was friendly and quick. This was my first time to the Hub on Wedge Parkway, and I was nicely surprised. First off, it is beautiful inside, with big windows at one end and a comfy couch and chairs, and then a variety of seating options. The coffee is great. I had a latte that was rich and creamy. The staff is friendly and efficient, so you don't feel like you are waiting around a super long time. It's easy to sit and chat with a friend and not feel rushed. The Hub has been in the Reno area for a long time and as a college student I frequented the downtown location on Riverside. My recent visit to the new South Reno location did not disappoint. The service was speedy and the staff was nice. You order at the counter and if you are staying inside to eat you get a number and the deliver to your table. I was very impressed with the quality of the coffee. They seem to have evolved a lot since my college days. The pumpkin cold brew was served in a beautiful glass and was awesome. My only complaint was the $6.50 price tag, especially for how little the glass was. The vanilla latte was good and the sausage breakfast burrito was tasty and extra hot after having them warm it up. The interior of this place is so well done. You can tell they put some money into it. Maybe that's why my cold brew was $6.50! They have plenty of merch to pick up while you're there as well as beans to go. read more

This place is spacious and clean, and a lot of people seem to like to sit in here and study, so it's also fairly quiet. However, I ordered an iced Americano and asked how many shots of coffee it had in the drink. I was told that it had only 2 shots and when I asked if I could add a 3rd shot on, I was told no. I was perfectly willing to pay for it in addition to the drink itself. The drink was quite small when I received it, and both of these things were enough for me to not come back, especially being told that I could not add on. I came in to enjoy a delicious dirty chai before meeting with a client. I was hoping to pickup a fluffy croissant of any kind, but unfortunately they were all burnt within the display case. I asked the cashier if they were left in the oven a little too long or if it was the lighting, and they were in fact a bit too burnt for my (or most peoples) liking. As I waited for my coffee, I watched multiple guests/ customers bus their own tables while staff were chatting behind the counter enjoying each other's company. There was not a line upon arrival nor as I waited for my coffee, so I did not quite understand why there were so many people behind the counter. I've never really just gone to meet up at a coffee place...to actually sit and chit chat and enjoy a cuppa. I have at the Hub, it's close to home, has wonderful offerings, and has a welcoming friendly vibe. The staff is helpful with suggesting just what you might like. Don't drink coffee? Not an issue, they have a lovely selection of teas and hot cocoa to warm your being. The selection of pastries sure AH-MAZING! The flaky ones will leave you picking up all the crumb to not miss one iota off the goodness! We've enjoyed quite a few and there's not one I wouldn't order again. The lemon muffin is also a favorite. It's a decadent treat not to miss. If you are a fan of chai, I highly recommend trying it spicy, even extra spicy! It's like a warm hug followed with a nice kick to get you going. The seating is comfortable, so you don't want to hurry up. So Reno is lucky to have them, we're not have a wonderful place to meet up and enjoy a drink and a small bite. read more

Love this little gem across from the rink. Coffee and tea are amazing! I ordered the waffle with peanut butter and berries and was disappointed. I was charged $1.50 for berries but it was literally 1-2 strawberries quartered. Also, if I'm ordering in and paying over $15 for a waffle, I expect the butter and peanut butter to be at warm temperature at the very least, but they were both cold, on the side, and impossible to spread on the waffle. I'm interested in trying their other breakfast items. I will definitely still be back, just not to order the waffle again, at least not with fixings. read more

Thank you Hub Coffee for coming to South Reno!! I was excited to see them at this location and man is it spacious. This is the perfect spot to gather with friends or to set up shop to do your work. The windows are big and offer wonderful views while you enjoy great coffee. They also have food options from Mother of Macros available. The staff is also amazing, my mom had gotten the lavender chai and the person who made the drink waited for us to get our drinks before telling us that what makes it extra special is adding the dried lavender on top - which he did in front of us! He also let us smell the lavender which just created such a great experience! Honestly I am surprised by all the 5 star reviews about the coffee. I had an oat vanilla latte and green chile burrito for $26 including tip. I really wanted to like the coffee but it was very sour and bitter for my taste. It was made beautifully however and with care. The burrito was good but lacked seasoning. It really needed salt to give it some flavor. They give you a very thin watery salsa on the side that also was super bland with just a hint of spice. The Hub is a really cute and trendy coffee shop and seems to have a lot of people fooled into thinking the higher the price point, the better and tastier the coffee and food, which simply is not always the case. read more

I love Hub Coffee and am so glad they have one in south Reno now. It's not usually too busy in here, just a few people working from what I've seen unless it's in the weekend. I always order a plan latte and it's never let me down. The guy at the front taking orders is always chipper and you can tell he enjoys his job! On the search for coffee not close to home, a friend recently recommended trying the new Hub in south Reno. Located in a shopping area that's finished but not yet fully rented. This Hub is large and bright. Two inside sitting areas and a few tables out front. I recommend out front, the view of the snow capped mountains will be beautiful all summer. Inside there's a small display of bagged coffee for home, a display case of morning pastries, and the ordering counter. A full team taking orders and separate baristas keep the wait down to just a couple of minutes, even when I ordered a decaf iced mocha. Also love it came in a tall glass glass. Everything tastes better in glass. Besides the usual coffee choices, there is a great selection of teas and tea drinks. A small tea menu with loose samples help guide you through your selection. Plenty of parking out front in the huge shared lot. read more

5/24/2023 I wanted to stop in last week, but ran out of time. I was so happy to see this is in my area. I knew coming in on Wednesday I could take advantage of the two bags for $30... A very nice set up.. clean and spacious.. Great to see customers mid day! Staff super friendly and knowledgeable.. There was a pastry case and cold case with food as well. Melinda (who helped me), was so helpful.. They make their oatmilk in house and do not charge ... wow - some of the other name brand chains should do that!).. I also signed up for the text message and will save $1 on my next purchases.. I must say... the vanilla latte is the best I have ever tasted! Next trip.. I'll be trying the decaf !
