Getting in touch was a bit tougher than it should be. -- Great ice cream. Terrible followup. No one updated the online ordering system, so after driving twenty minutes to pick up a cone someone bought me as a takeout order, I arrived at an empty store, during what are normal business hours. Called to ask what was up and got voicemail. No one has returned the call several hours later. When someone finally picked up at the store, rather than apologize, he told me "well, your order is probably here, so come on in". Updating here: My friend said they ordered the takeout order online, and there was no "Special Hours" posted this morning - Handel's took the order because they didn't update their online availability. It appears they updated the hours listed here this afternoon. We all make mistakes, and Reno store really stepped up and made my day.

Our server was friendly and attentive. To drink we had a Hofbraü beer and a glass of bubbles. They both were excellent and exactly as we expected. At the end of the meal I had a white chocolate espresso martini. I was disappointed with the martini. This tasted flavorless like water and lacked any essence of espresso martini. To eat we did the cheese plate. We added beer cheese to our order for the pretzel. Holy cow! This cheese board was so large, not to mention delicious! The cheeses and meats were diverse and flavorful. The plate also came with artichoke hearts and pickles which provided a refreshing acidity to the plate. The pretzel was warm, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and lightly salted. I am very picky about pretzels (to the point where I don't eat them) and this was my favorite! This was the most delicious pretzel I have ever ate. The cheese plate also came with a delicious stone ground mustard, what seemed to be a lingonberry jam, and the beer cheese we added. The lingonberry jam which was out of this world and the beer cheese was complex and flavorful. I have my eye on a couple of the pizzas so I definitely will be back soon for another meal (and pretzel).

The pregnancy cravings strike again! Someone mentioned a smashburger and I'm instantly looking up…read moreplaces to go because I NEED one. Props to Burger Me for being one of the only smash burger locations in Reno to be open on a Monday during lunch hours! With that being said, the menu options are focused on burgers, with really one option for smash burgers. I asked for what meat options could be made into a smashburger, and was told beef only. I was craving a western style smashburger and as-is, the one option didn't fit the bill. I asked to substitute or pay for onion rings on the burger in place of carmelized onions, and my brain didn't comprehend that I could order onion rings on the side and put them on myself. I was offered to have fried onions substituted and I said yes. There's several sauce options and I chose the bbq sauce, naturally. I also ordered garlic fries on the side. The burger itself is two beef patties that are each smashed, place on top of each other. I think each one has cheese on top, but I was too hungry to look for that before diving in. There's enough pickles to be in every bite, and it was glorious. The patty itself was seasoned, but I could only taste the seasoning in certain parts. I could still taste the seasoning with and without the bbq sauce, and it was yummy. Bbq sauce tasted like bbq sauce, it fit the bill 100%. If you're looking for a normal sized smash burger, ask for only one patty. I couldn't finish the whole burger and I can normally eat a whole smash burger to myself. My food was served probably in 15 mins. I also came in before a bigger lunch crowd so that probably helped. As for the atmosphere, I really appreciate the booths and tables. There's also arcade games near the back, with a clear glass so you can keep eyes on little ones while in the main restaurant. The bathroom was clean, although I wish there was a hook for my purse in the bathroom. It looks like there used to be one, but it got removed or broke off.

Everything I've ever had here has been excellent, but the bison burger was easily one of the best burgers ever! The onion rings are perfect every time. They are light and crispy and the ranch is so good! I tried the white truffle burger and loved it! It was borderline too much truffle for me, but that's just a personal thing. As with anything, I strongly encourage everyone to try it for themselves. And the Bella stack from a separate visit easily moved to my top favorite. I almost didn't get it because I thought I would miss the flavor of the burger patty with onions and cheese, nope! I didn't miss it at all! The Bella stack has one of the thickest portobello mushrooms I've ever seen in my life. It is marinated in this beautiful balsamic reduction (that was almost too much on that to by the way, but if anything just order some on the side) It was a flavor that stayed with me for awhile after lunch and it was delightful. Also, I'm a big fan of pesto, which is another reason I had to try the Bella stack. One of the sandwiches I can't wait to try next is the big dippa (similar to a French dip). The staff are nice, the service is quick and everything seems to be clean and organized. They also have some great adult beverage options. I'm currently in love with their unsweetened tropical passion tea for a non-alcoholic choice. Many thanks and great job Burger Me crew!

However, to my surprise, it was more sophisticated than that. We were met by the host, who then seated us promptly, however for a Tuesday night, she seated us in a half booth half table and chair seating arrangement after we walked by several open booths. Our waiter was the one to offered to move us elsewhere and get more comfortable. After being reseated and informed that the tables were cut very offkilter, we ordered drinks, an appetizer, entrées and dessert. The bacon wrapped jalapeños were OK, could've been cooked a little differently to boost the wow factor but the real star was the entrees. I ordered the herb roasted chicken, which came with a cucumber tomato salad underneath and topped with their kale pesto, might have been a kitchen accident but I'm not complaining! We ended the meal with an affogato paired with their house made vanilla gelato. Definitely worth it

She gave recommendations based on our preferences and always had a warm attitude. Throughout the duration of being at the restaurant, there was never a moment where I felt like I was waiting too long for her to check back in, nor did I feel like the servers pestered too frequently. Ambience: The restaurant made me feel like it was a cross between a sports bar and an Italian restaurant; definitely on the casual side. There are many seating options and---given the observation---they can accommodate extremely large parties! We sat next to a party of 10+. Fare: My partner and I ordered both alfredos: fettucini chicken alfredo, pesto alfredo. While both tasted great, the sauce is on the thin side in case that's a preference of yours. I didn't mind it; in fact, while it was the first time I had a sauce that thin, it was complementary to the entire dish. For note of reference, the waitress said that the sauce is on the "lighter side," which I disagree with since there was an entire pool of it in the pasta plate. She said commonly people order an extra sauce on the side, but I thought it was fine as is.
