    I'm hooked
    Katie L.

Love love love this place! Their jalapeño bagel and cream cheese are unmatched. I've been ordering the I'm hooked for many years, it has tuna, mayo, capers and onions. I always use the app to order ahead because they are usually pretty busy.

I stopped by Truckee Bagel on my way to a hike and ordered the Spanish Sunrise. I loved the freshness of the bagel and the combination of flavors - egg, veggies, avocado, and cheese worked perfectly together. The service was quick and friendly. It's a small space, but there is seating available. I ordered mine to go since I was heading out, but I would have enjoyed eating there as well.

Here is my sandwich today. They used to pile turkey high with a ton of sprouts and a spicy pickle. Now this pathetic thing! There was literally one-and-half pieces of turkey, barely any cream cheese, the bagel was burned (and really hard to chew) and a pinch sprouts. The tomatoes where almost all ehite and not ripened at all! I have been frequently Truckee Bagel for 29 years! Since we built a house in Galena. I have really enjoyed their food. But it has gone pitifully downhill. My hope is that if I do decide to try it again, I hope it is someone who cares a little more about what they are selling. Really, I have it 3 stars because of the atmosphere and because we have gotten really good sandwiches there. 2 stars for the food and 2 stars for service. The places where the food is edible and doesn't break the bank are getting fewer and fewer. The last pic is of what the sandwich I ordered SHOULD look like. I also posted pics so you can see side by side of what the sandwich looks like and what it is supposed to look like. I hope they improve. I would hate to see them go out of business! My husband and I like to support local businesses but today was just a shame.

Burnt onion bagel and caked poppyseed bagel

Do not waste your money. I've heard about Truckee Bagel for years and finally decided to try. I arrived at 6:15am and I can tell you these bagels are NOT fresh. Half of my order were rock hard. The onion bagel was burnt on top (didn't order toasted) and the poppyseed was caked in seeds, almost like a joke (see photo). Not only are these nowhere close to a New York bagel, they don't even beat a grocery store bagel!

Oh Truckee Bagel, I have enjoyed them for years! I used to go to the downtown location during college, and have been a loyal customer since. So here's my review! Conveniently in South Reno, this has been my latest spot after a day out on the slopes or during my lunch breaks. My go-to is a BST (bacon, sprouts, and tomato) Sandwich, and I always opt for the Jalapeño spread instead of the original chive (original is good too!). The other sandwiches like the Papa Bear is another favorite but I'm LOYAL to the BST. The South Reno location is a cozy shop, and I definitely appreciate that. It's small and intimate, but a great spot for a quick bite. The staff are always pretty helpful and always have a great attitude. I definitely appreciate it! Please go in and try it out, it's a delicious breakfast/snack/lunch spot!

Pacific Sunrise Breakfast Bagel on gluten free bread extra mozzarella it was yum! 11/2/24

I have come here many times over the years and always like my breakfast bagels I just get egg and cheese they offer different types of cheese which I love so I can get mozzarella instead of just cheddar or American. Recently I have been on a gut health reset with my doctor and am currently gluten free which I have been pleasantly surprised at how much better they've gotten at making things taste that are GF! (I tried it once like 10 years ago and ew!) anyhow I reached out on Yelp the day before asking if they had GF bagels and the owner responded right away advising of the gluten free bread they can make any of their bagel sandwiches on. Long story short, tastes just as good as a bagel did! I'm very happy about this as I hate missing out on breakfast sandwiches!! I think I'll go back again today. The service is always friendly and efficient. Small shop. Yum! Thank you :)

Truckee Bagel is a must try when you're in Reno. They have the friendliest staff. My go to is the Southwest Wake Up breakfast sandwich on a plain bagel. The bagels are freshly made and delicious!

    Rock Bagels.

I haven't been here in years. Einsteins, Smiths, and Whole Foods were all out of poppy bagels so I thought I'd try Truckee Bagel as my last hope. They did have them, and I got 4 to bring home. Having one this morning, they were hard as a rock! And really they started that way. I even had them put them in a plastic bag yesterday to preserve them, but geeze, a person could lose a tooth eating these things. Have you guys EVER had a NY bagel? They are soft and doughy and yours are absolutely horrible, I'm sorry. My daughter has even made better bagels at home so please reach out if you need a recipe. I would absolutely love to have a good bagel shop near my home, so maybe you can improve them?

Such an amazing bagel shop' I've been going here for 20+ years and their breakfast bagel is still my favorite. The pacific sunrise. They carry great coffee as well. Always have beautiful local artwork on the walls to look at. Best thing is you can call in a pickup order so it's ready right when you get there.

Fast, easy, and clean. My sandwhich was filling and fresh. Our cashier and server was polite and smiley. Affordable and scrumptious.

I stopped in for an early lunch yesterday while working in the area. Galena highschool kids were out for lunch and this shopping center was packed with them, Truckee bagel was no exception. The girls working moved through the line fairly quickly. I was craving pizza, so it was a no brainer that I ordered an Ez pizza on a garlic bagel. I used to make pizza bagels as a young girl with my mom and this was nostalgic and took me right back to my childhood. The girl working the counter recommended I order it on a garlic or onion. My tastebuds thank you for the recommendation. Casual setting; they offer dine in with limited seating availability. If you want a specific bagel I recommend coming in earlier to get the full experience. I'll be back sooner than later. Thank you for the friendly and prompt service.

This spot has been a longtime favvv! I moved away from Reno for 6 years then came back and hadn't yet been back here in the two years of my return till this visit. This particular one even was heavenly. My daughter was confused why I was in such heaven eating it. It was so so good! The two ladies who took and prepared my order were also so kind and patient as I decided. Deff on my lunch stops asap! It was very chill that afternoon. Overall all love from this foodie!

They really let their knowledge and personality shine through, making the experience from the second you walk in through the door. I've been here a few times and no matter the employee, they know their stuff (especially the guy who says he's an expert [I believe it!]). Ambience: As anyone else, I value cleanliness in a shop. Their surfaces are all maintained to a nice cleanliness: workers are keeping customer spaces clean, they wipe their counters frequently. The redolence of coffee is wonderful. Food & Drink: Each time I come here, I grab a seasonal drink and their blueberry cream cheese danish. Now, I am a person quite picky with coffee: there needs to be a balance if there are extra flavours present in the drink, and this shop nails it. I ordered their orange cardamom (I forgot the name!) latte, and it is one of the most favorite drinks I've historically tried. I definitely need to grab a bag of their medium roasts next time to take these profiles home.
