I specifically ordered it a certain way, yet what I received wasn't even close. The bagel was cold, completely untoasted, and honestly just not enjoyable. I was in Reno yesterday for a Reno Aces Game (they beat Tacoma 13-8), and had time to stop at the Midtown Truckee Bagel Company. From there, it was a short drive to Greater Nevada field. +/- - Counter service was slowed down by the counter person taking phone orders. - Somewhat limited Bagel selection this late in the day. That was OK as my half dozen selection of sundried tomato, wheat, and combo bagels was a good one. - They were out of regular cream cheese, so I settled for a bit pricy smear of Herb. Positives - Easy access on and off Virginia and good available parking. - Expected casual bagel shop ambience, including display and sandwich making behind the counter. - Bagels are baked, no steamed. - Bagels were put in plastic bag (with tie) which in my opinion preserves freshness vs. a paper bag. - My toasted breakfast bagel (next day) was the right amount of heft, chewiness, and flavor. I almost could have eaten it without the cream cheese, but that smear just added to its goodness.
