Dear Lighthouse Coffee, It is with a heavy heart that I write you. I have frequented your roasting store for years, savoring your creamy libations. They have always made my tongue very satisfied. My friend enjoys the gas station burritos you sell, and your toilet seats are always comfy, but that is no longer here nor there. I ordered a latte. I sat down to reaAll of a sudden, after a few sucks, I felt a tingle in my throat. Much to my horror, I pulled a long black hair out of my mouth. I prefer cream in my latte and I don't recall asking for a shot of protein. Now, normally I would chalk this up to a freak occurrence. What is truly disappointing is the gal with the multicolor wig did not offer to make it right. I will not return and shall enjoy another roasting store while I read my comic strips. read more

Cute coffee stop. Drive thru is a bit tricky thru the back alley. Open early and visit with the morning commuters. Plan about 15 minutes for your beverage. If you haven't BEAN to Lighthouse Coffee yet, you definitely have to! It's always a de-LIGHT finding a local coffee shop with a high quality cup of joe, and Lighthouse Coffee is definitely a good option, with three locations in Sparks/Reno. I honestly had low expectations considering that it's a chain + has a drive-through, but the quality of the coffee and the kind, personable service of the baristas quickly blew any qualms away. We ordered their seasonal lattes - the gingerbread latte and the white chocolate cranberry mocha, and we were pleasantly surprised by how well crafted each drink was. They were able to do customizations such as half caffeine + alternative milks like oat milk, and I appreciated how they took the time to pour beautiful latte art for us. My boyfriend tells me that there's long lines in the morning at this Sparks location, and I can totally see why! This cute little coffee shop is definitely well worth the hype, and I can't wait to be back to try more of their drinks and get some studying + work done here! read more

First time here and came in on a Saturday around 1230pm. Not busy at all. The place is cute and clean, plenty of seats for friends or studying. I ordered a sausage and egg quiche and wife ordered a vegan burrito as well as a Caramel coffee and chai. Upon waiting, barista told me they didn't have the quiche I ordered, but only 1 out of the 5 or 6 options of quiche was available. Kinda bummed and weird how they don't know their own inventory. If I would've known, I wouldn't have ordered anything to eat. But I ended up just trying the veggie quiche. Now don't get me wrong, the service is nice and the place is pretty chill, I liked it. But what I didn't like was the food and coffee. My veggie quiche was scorching hot in parts of it and once you got into it, it was pretty cold in the middle and throughout, so the potatoes in it were off putting because of the cold temp. The salsa that comes with it tastes like the salsa from the store, nothing special. My wife's burrito was pretty spotty with the temp as well, parts scorching and parts not just warm, but cold. The chai was iced but tasted room temperature if not warm, and the caramel coffee I had was nice and cold, BUT had a sourness to it. Overall the place and people were nice, but what they offered and how we received it took me by surprise, mainly due to the good reviews they have. I think due to the products received, we will think twice before coming back. read more

Solid coffee shop with decent offerings and excellent customer service. My wife loves the coffee, I got an energizing seltzer and buttered bagel. I thought the bagel was good, but I didn't like the butter - though there's a possibility it may have been mistakenly cream cheese or a mix. The seltzer was good and hit the spot, but could stand a little more flavor. The real standout was the customer service which was prompt, great communication and problem solving, and very courteous. I've been back twice in one week. I love their coffee! I got their seasonal special, honey lavender white mocha with almond milk and it's delicious! They also sell pasteries from Beloved Bakery. The service is always friendly. They have a drive thru that wraps around the back side of the plaza buildings. Just keep an eye out for the "drive thru" sign. The inside of the coffee shop is very cute with so many tables to either study/work or just to hangout. I think I've found my favorite coffee spot! read more

The caramel flavor was perfectly balanced--sweet but not overwhelming--and you could really taste the difference with the homemade touch. I haven't been inside in a few years. This used to be a favorite of my Bestie who passed away during covid. It is still a favorite place for breakfast, coffee, snacks, Kombucha, smoothies, etc. I am sure I will be back inside eventually. But, for now, I go through the drive-through. The employees are all so kind and thoughtful. It really is a warm and friendly environment. We stopped in to Lighthouse while visiting some friends in Sparks, and was happy to find a local option to support. They have a fun menu with many different options to try. I love chai and was excited to try the ginger chai which I absolutely loved. My husband got a latte which he also said was good. The space had a lot of natural light and would definitely be somewhere I would feel comfortable hanging out for a few hours. The only small concern is that it did take quite a while for our drinks to come out so I would keep that in mind if you are in a rush. I have always had exceptional service whether I went inside or just driving thru. My only complaint is the wait in the drive thru and a luke warm hot drink, so I have learned to order it extra hot. They do offer small bites, I ordered a bagel to hold me over until lunch, since I was getting ready to tackle a very busy morning. Lighthouse is way cheaper than Starbucks, and not too far from my home. I will always choose local when I can and this place deserves our business. I'm glad they have their marina location. The hubbs and I would frequent both during my last pregnancy. It's a quieter setting, plently of natural light. Well kept tables and restrooms and ask for WiFi. I've stopped in just to read and have a date alone over a frothy caramilla. read more

We are visiting from out of state and in an effort to support local we avoided the big brand coffee shop up the road. The shop is clean and looks like what you imagine a coffee shop should look. The guys at the counter greeted us. We ordered our usual americanos and their "muffin top" pastries. 3-16oz coffees and 2 pastries were $26 before tip. First sip of our iced coffee was so bitter and watery. After mixing our coffee more it didn't improve. Literally one of the worst coffees I've had, aside from cheap gas station coffee. The muffin tops were dry too :( Sadly with a whole day of baseball tournament ahead going without coffee wasn't an option. So off to the chain we go! Oh well we tried! read more

I have been about three times, and my bf and I always try something different and trade drinks! The staff is really kind and will answer any questions you may have and are also willing to help with adjustments if you find that the drink isn't completely to your liking. There's a drive thru here too which is cool! It gets so cold in Sparks, so it's a great option to stay in the car. Last time we were there we tried something like an almond joy drink. The almond was really strong, the coconut less so. It also ended up being really sweet. They also have burritos from another company that are just alright. read more

Coffee/Espresso: you had me at dirty chai, chai's are a special type of drink already as it is. However, the fact that their espresso is truly delicious. It makes for a wonderful combination of flavors. The caramilla is a custom caramel sauce that is used and wow... whether you like it hot or cold. Definitely an option you want to try. Local coffee spot out in deep sparks. So excited to see that there was a drive up at this location as well, which is awesome when the kiddo is taking a nap:) Their Carmelita is delicious! Made with dorindas caramel sauce, another local staple! Their pleasant staff is attentive and have some great suggestions when they don't happen to have a product. I was hoping to try their cold brew but unfortunately they haven't had it in stock in the late afternoon, so something to be aware of, but they do have iced coffee or iced americano as an alternative. It's Friday morning and I'm craving a good local cold coffee. This place is so convenient in my neighborhood, I've been going to this place since they've opened. They are next to the spa or medical group and they are open 7 days a week. Service is great! My favorite is caramilla and this is always my no.1 choice drink, but sometimes I would get the other flavored latte along with their pastries.
