    Barbecue Burger

This is a regular stop for brunch on Sunday. Nice menu selections, good atmosphere and good service. Found this to be a good stop for lunch and Sunday brunch. Had the barbecue burger this visit. This was a good choice. Burger was good size and Cooke to order. I also enjoy their seafood Benedict. Service is always pleasant.

Great breakfast place with a lot of delicious options! This is our first time here, all the food we ordered were spot on, and the portions were decent! So, make sure you come here with empty stomach. The place is big, but can get packed really fast during the weekend.

Everything was delicious, the French toast was amazing, definitely one of the better ones. Busy Sunday, wait times are normal and our waitress was nice.

Some friends and I had an amazingly tasty lunch at Sunrise Cafe today. The restaurant, tucked just off Mt Rose Hwy, is a local favorite, and the place was packed with people, so we had a small wait. Service was friendly, and the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, with fresh and delicious food. (You really can't go wrong with menu selections.) Today we enjoyed, the Wild Green Enchiladas, the Spinach and Strawberry Salad, and the Veggie Pesto Wrap. Everything was super tasty and I'm sure we'll be back soon.

Good doesn't disappoint. They are honest and explain items on the menu. Drink menu doesn't have prices so you find out at the end. The gal who took our drinks was okay, not as friendly as the waitress. She was attentive and consistent in checking in. French toast was good but my husband's carne asada was delicious! Ambiance is a diner vibe that is cozy and family friendly.

After we closed on the sale of my clients home I took her to this breakfast and lunch cafe next to the house that she is about to buy. Lunch was great and the staff was friendly. I love that she was able to find a place even before move in that she can call a go to spot for breakfast lunch or a glass of wine. The food portions are huge! And it was busy so people must love the food. I will say the fish and chips were heavily breaded and a bit greasy but but my clients lamb burger looked AMAZING!! Next time I'm choosing that for sure

I love everything about sunrise cafe. It feels so local and is just so high quality. They have such great creative drinks, I looooved the strawberry matcha (with fresh strawberries on top!!!) and the berry French toast is a favorite. It's a cozy spot with great friendly service

Great breakfast and loved the mimosa flight. I was there on a Saturday and the vibe was busy and friendly which I thought was great because it had that that classic breakfast weekend diner vibe but it is also so much more! Food is fresh and well prepared with a wide menu selection. I will definitely be going back.

Had a lot of breakfast there, but trade it for lunch too and still just as amazing. Extra large portions. Food is always delicious. I got the chicken club and it was ginormous. I had half for lunch and half for dinner.

Sunrise Café always has a 5/5 star breakfast. I had my favorite, the Chile Relleno breakfast and as usual, it was absolutely delicious. Also, the Holiday Season makes me crave Café de Olla, so I decided to have some today. Café de Olla is a traditional Mexican coffee made with cinnamon, Piloncillo (unrefined Solid Cane sugar) and other spices. If you have never tried it I highly recommend it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the unique flavors. Of course the service at Sunrise is also excellent and the restaurant always feels cozy. I'll say it every time, Sunrise is one of the best, if not the best restaurant for breakfast in Reno.

We love this place and enjoy taking guests. The food is always great and the staff are friendly. Plenty of tables available and I love that they're spaced well. This way you don't feel like you're on top of another group. Very chill place to enjoy a delicious meal.

    Jessica F.

Classic breakfasts and lunches served with big portions! I loved my tuna melt, classic bread toasted with generous addition of avocado and melty cheese. Classic good diner type food with big portions, I was so full from lunch I didn't even need dinner. Fries were a little dry but I could tell they are real and not just microwaved frozen fries. I enjoyed my experience at sunrise cafe, great vibe super packed and plenty of people.

Until this 4th of July weekend (250/2026) we had never heard of Archie's. It was recommended to us and we stopped in on Sunday the 5th for lunch on our way out of town. What an amazing choice. I ordered their bacon cheese burger. Guess what? It was GIANT. It was delicious. It was perfect. Comes with fries but I got onion rings. The onion rings were perfect too. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I can't recommend this place enough. Special shout out to David, our server. This guy made no mistakes. Laughed at all my stupid dad jokes, was attentive, patient while my companions changed their minds 36 times, and was friendly too. Says it was only his 2nd day on the job, but I wish he had been working for us at our restaurant (Hokkaido Noodle House) in Sacramento. He is a pro already, give him reasons to keep working for you boss. Don't worry, we won't steal him from you, we are retired and closed our joint 10 years ago. Rock on Archie's! You have earned a few new fans today.

Was surprised it had a second floor with a small deck and pretty decent views! Big place. Great Happy Hour Deals (half off drinks) and other specials. I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

Brunch is all day on Sundays however they do have a lunch menu starting at 12pm, so we ordered from each menu. The ahi nachos were great, thick pieces of tuna and a great sauce drizzled over. When we arrived, every table was full, so we grabbed seats at the bar. It turned out to be a great spot to watch the bartenders create beautiful drinks, including some of their signature cocktails served in a glass purse for parties of two or more. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with groups celebrating birthdays and other special occasions. After looking over the menu, we decided on the lox crostini bites and the bruschetta. We each ordered a glass of sparkling wine. I added a chocolate rim to mine, which was fun to look at, although it didn't add much flavor. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed watching the flowing chocolate waterfall. Considering how busy the bar was, our food arrived quickly. The crostini were crisp, and both appetizers were fresh and flavorful. The only drawback was the volume of the DJ, but we knew what to expect as soon as we walked through the door. This is definitely a fun place for parties and groups looking for a lively night out. One last observation: I probably wouldn't choose this spot for a group of men. The décor and overall vibe are very much geared toward women, but the name says it all.

Pine State hails from Oregon originally, and the space feels like Portland or NorCal transported to Nevada. Cool, hip and funky. I was excited to have a chance to try the Veggie Reggie, being a vegetarian, biscuits and gravy a usually off limits for me. This one features a vegan breakfast patty, soy bacon, and Tillamook cheddar topped with shiitake mushroom gravy - so it was on! The Reggie came out quickly and looked amazing! Huge and oh-so decadent. I got there right at opening and I think the staff were still getting into the swing of the day, because my gravy was pretty cold, which was a disappointment - and probably muted the flavor a bit. I also appreciated the early am fine cup of coffee.
