Ordered an iced pumpkin spice latte and it was awful. It looks and tastes like something I could have made at home or in a gas station. Lack of flavor or creaminess. I accidentally found this drive up coffee barista tucked away in a maze of parking lots off Virginia street. They have an extensive coffee and smoothie menu with seasonal options. I love coffee but I decided to go out of my comfort zone and try a guava green tea cooler with an energy shot. My drink tastes amazing, it's perfect! The barista is super personable and loves coffee too. Next time I'm in town, want to stop here. read more

The service was excellent, and the sugar-free vanilla blended latte I ordered was absolutely delicious. I love the charm of the little drive-by coffee stand. However, one downside is that it's not easy to see the menu from your car. They do have small handheld menus available, and you can walk up to order as well, which is a nice option. read more

I heard great things about this coffee stand on the Reno subreddit, decided to check it out with my partner and mother-in-law today. We ordered large White Mocha Lattes and a medium blended Green Tea Refresher with mango. They all were so amazing! And absolutely monstrous sizes! The sweet lady didn't even give us a chance to tip with the transaction terminal. Cannot wait to try more drinks from here! read more

I love a good latte and I have driven by this place so many times. Kinda located in the back area off Virginia St. One day I decided to give it a try. When I drove up I notice how big the menu was and not just for coffee but snacks as well, I decided on a cherry blossom with oat milk. The woman who was working the drive thru was also the owner and was super nice. I also noticed how many snack choices she had as well, even had vegan cookies. My latte tasted so delicious and enjoyed chatting with the owner too. If you are looking for a coffee house to sit inside then this is not the place. It is a drive thru only so stay in your jammies if you want since you dont even have to get out of your car. My only negative comment to make is I wish she offered the frequent purchase cards like most other coffee houses offer where you buy so many and get one free or cheaper. She does not offer those. So when I am on that side of town I try to get a coffee beverage at Mugshots. So, go give them a try. read more

I've been going to get my treat coffee and my strong regular espresso here for years, it's the only place in Reno that I found any consistency with quality and taste. So after spilling my freshly brewed coffee all over the floor this morning before I could even take a sip, I questioned everything I knew about life. Turns out, the only solution I could handle in the aftermath of that tragedy was to head to Mugshots. It's so close to my house, and I love that it's drive thru only so I don't have to feel guilty about not wanting to get out of my car. I've had this hidden gem on my list for quite sometime, but because of its location and proximity from me it took a bit. I pulled up at 8:16 and was out four minutes later the woman working was possibly the owner and was friendly enough. In a moment of panic, and not knowing what I wanted, I decided on a toffee Brulé latte with almond milk. It was pretty good and I loved the toffee bits on top. It's a good way just to add a little as some thing extra. I will say that I was bummed about one thing, but that was my fault. While I was waiting for my drink to be made, I saw their spring specials and was intrigued. They have a pistachio latte, a white chocolate pistachio latte, and a lavender chai with lavender essence. All three of those are right up my alley so I will have to come back again and try them! Overall it was a good coffee experience this morning! read more

I have been coming to mugshots for a few years now. It started off with me being a DoorDash driver, when I had to drop off some milk and teas to this tiny hut. I was greeted by the owner, Diana and she gave me a free drink to try. I instantly fell in love with this little place and the owner is always so sweet and kind! I don't come very often because of the hours and my work schedule, but anytime I get the chance I love to stop by and say hello. My favorite drink is the toffee brulee! read more

I read all of the amazing reviews and finally was nearby when they were open. The menu has a variety of flavors that had caught my interest. I ordered an iced horchata latte with almond milk, I wasn't really that impressed. I didn't get too much flavor from the drink. Not sure if it was an off day or this is just how it is. With there being so many coffee shops around, I may likely explore other places. I ended up spending over $10 for two drinks, so usually it's nice to be left with a good experience. Stumbled upon this business on a Yelp search for another beverage. Decided to give this a try because of the reviews. Maybe I got the wrong drink but didn't find their coffee to be like omg, it was just ok. Value is definitely here as the drink sizes are huge in comparison to other places and I enjoy the convenience of driving up to the cute hut. I ordered the Milky Way and mocha roca with almond. Both drinks were pretty sweet but digestible but it just tasted like syrup after syrup...not very real. I'll give this joint another go and try something else on the menu. read more

Ok Reno! This little coffee shop has it going on! The owner is fairly new with this location, but she's been doing coffee since the 90's! She's has such an inviting and cute personality, it's super easy to get lost in conversation with her. Local businesses like hers deserve more support from Reno! I asked for a macchiato and she countered it with different ways she could make it and different drinks that would be just as tasty! Just that much information was fantastic! You'll probably never get this kind of service anywhere else. MUGSHOTS has a nice menu as-well; shakes, smoothies and coffee, OH MY! Absolutely loved my drink I got the pumpkin with white mocha and a red Bull slushy dragonfruit and for the first time it was a great experience and great tasting coffee!! I am definitely going back! The Mugshot is in a pretty hidden location, so good luck finding it! But the upside to that is that it's never busy. You can drive up and have a coffee in hand really quick. If you're not into coffee they also have teas and Italian sodas. The service is also great. I definitely recommend for a coffee fix! read more

How am I just now discovering this place?!? Hands down, best coffee in Reno. Deanna really knows her coffee! She makes each cup with love and it shows. She also has the best conversations, her customer service is top notch! I'm literally here at least 4 times a week to get my iced latte fix. I'm so happy I found this hidden gem! I've been going to the Coffee Bean for my "treat" coffees since COVID, and while their drinks are okay, Mugshots is fantastic! They offer so many delicious flavors--hot, cold, or blended. It's hidden away behind Save Mart and the Dollar Tree on Plumb. This is now my go-to spot for quick, drive through coffee treats (i.e. COVID friendly). Also, great customer service! I love this place. read more

This is my all time favorite coffee spot in Reno. The blended drinks are perfectly blended and very smooth. If you're someone who gets blended drinks you know how more often than not it has ice chunks still in it, but not here! They also have a huge selection of flavors and ways to drink coffee. All in all, best place and everyone should go here. I would suggest a blended white mocha with rose or lavender. read more

I just discovered this little coffee stand near my work and am so thrilled! Their coffee is top notch, I can finally ditch the nearby Starbucks for my caffeine supply. Super friendly staff, never any line (which is actually concerning seeing as I want them to stay in business!) and delightful seasonal menus. Mugshots is awesome! The owner Deanna was so sweet and so passionate about coffee. The care she has put into finding the absolute best version of every ingredient is amazing. I got a dirty pink chai, which is chai with rose syrup and an added shot of espresso. She let me try the rose syrup and showed me the chai concentrate she was using, it really is the best stuff! Going out for coffee is one of my simple pleasures and after trying a vast majority of places in Reno, I can confidently say this is some of the best coffee i've had in town. The menu is really creative and the drinks are not overpowered with sugar. I usually order my drinks 1/2 sweet but at Mugshots, I don't even need to do that, and I can still get the espresso forward flavor I like. I tried this place while running errands on Saturday and I was so happy with my drink, I went back the next morning to try something else. Definitely would recommend this hidden gem!! read more

We decided to stop by after being in the area, and were pleasantly blown away by the spacious seating area (for working or conversing), kind baristas, and incredible roasts of coffee. I obviously had to opt for my go-to order of a lavender latte, which was so fragrant and one of the BEST that I've had. Highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a quality coffee shop that's not in Midtown, and I know that I'll be back again very soon!

I tried the Float On, a boozy adult root beer float using local gelato from Bibo. It's a coffee shop, so my friend sipped the 9 to 5, their version of an espresso martini. The Soul Sipper, a beautiful orange colored cocktail was similar to an Aperol Spritzer. Located on the corner of Wells and Vassar, there's a little more street parking available.

Do keep in kind , I believe this little shop is open only from morning to around 2pm ish , because from my understanding when I went, they were about to close. So if you have been at the hospital for awhile or trying to get a late afternoon or evening coffee while waiting in the hospital, this place may be close. Overall, this location is very convenient for those at stopping for healthcare reasonings and want something more unique compared to the usual Starbucks.
