Dior handle was sticky when I got there though and parking lot is rather small so drive through if you need it...though drive through gets really packed :x employees are nice and understandable even though I was blabbering and pretty sleepy-ditzy at 4:30am...made my orders with no problem. I was happy to see a new Starbucks within walking distance from my home. The building looks nice. The parking is kind of chaotic. Lots of cars pull in and go the wrong way. When the line for the drive up is too long, things get really hairy. I've been here numerous times, and all times of day. Unfortunately, all drive thru experiences have been rather terrible. Not because of speed, but because of drink quality. Once you leave the lot, getting back is a nitemare. So, make sure you are happy with your drink before leaving the lot. $5 coffees should be made correctly, and not watery, tasteless messes. I have had a few good coffees inside, but overall they've been pretty poor. May just stick to one of the other 100 Starbucks within 5 miles of my home. read more

I frequent Starbucks about 3-5 times a month. I have the app and love it. So convenient to redeem rewards and pay. First time at this Pasadena location, I ordered the Caramel Macchiato and my son ordered the Strawberries & Creme Frappucino. There were cars in the drive thru, and two orders ahead of me, but it took 15 minutes to get our drinks. That's a little long to wait, at 2pm. Thankfully we were not in a hurry, but usually I am. I didn't know that if you ask for coconut milk that it was 60 cents extra for a Grande. She didn't tell me. Just added it. No receipt was offered. This Starbucks sucks. They're super slowwww. Not too long ago I went in for wifi, got my salted caramel latte. Sat there for a good 20 mins, everyone got their drinks and I see my cup still waiting on the counter to be filled up. They never called my name so I got irritated and I was going to ask them where my drink went. But there it was, just sitting on counter all done. Nobody mentioned that my drink was done and my whip cream was already all melted. What kinda service is that? That's why you asked for my name! So you can call me when it's done. Thank you! And my friend came here last time too, they messed up her drink and made her wait forever, that's how she got a free "any drink and size" slip. Smh. It gets busy around 3-6pm, when all the kids and students come by. Second time I came for a drive thru, I couldn't stand the guy over the mic. I heard his whole convo with the family in the van infront of me, the kid wanted a frap with caramel on the side. The guy who took his order clearly didn't understand "caramel on the side". Lol, you work there.. You should know "caramel on the side", on the inside around the sides of the cup. Unless he was knew then I guess I don't blame him. Seriously, Starbucks are f'ing everywhere now! While i'm a huge advocate against Starbucks coffee, the fact that this specific Starbucks is a drive through has made it convenient for a quick coffee fix. It's also made me hate myself for frequenting a Starbucks now! The drinks there are consistent and I haven't had any issues with any orders. I try and stay away from anything coffee related so my orders tend to be either milk shakes there, black tea lemonade, or green tea. Btw by milk shakes I mean pretty much any ice blended drinks.. which is what i've come to realize many of my friends consider to be coffee. It's not! The staff there is amazing and really welcoming and helpful. I actually really like the new interior; its seems like a really quiet spot to hang out and do some work. The baked pastries have gotten better and better over time and I really do like some of the goods they sell at Starbucks now. I have to admit, being able to get a cup of coffee and a pastry through a drive through is pretty awesome. It gets a little crowded in the mornings as everybody floods Starbucks to grab coffee before work, but I really do enjoy this Starbucks even though the coffee isn't great. Was happy to have a Starbucks drive thru that's on the way to work however when I held my cup it felt very light... that's because it was half empty!! :(( literally half foam and half latte. I order when I leave my house - about 5 to 7 minutes away - and by the time I arrive the order is ready and I've got a smiling server handing me my drink and snack. I don't know why this location only has three stars I've never had a bad experience- knock on wood! When I was a coffee Noob this is the one place where I asked the most questions on what I might like, what the flavors were, what the undertones of each bean were, etc. . At 4:00pm, there was no one in the drive thru, +1. They did not have peach sweetener for the Peach Green Tea. -1 They lady took my order fast and correctly. +1 The lady attempted to make conversation while the drinks were being made. +1 Drinks (Green Tea Latte and Green Tea Lemonade) were ready within minutes. +1 I drive off and about a block away we take sips of our drinks. BLECH!! My GT Lemonade had too much lemonade! My friend's GT latte had too milk! Undrinkable to the both of us. I like that their way their lattes taste is consistent, I've been a couple of issues with Coffee Bean in Monrovia where they don't taste the same. Aaron is also really friendly and it's nice to pull up to the window and see a dude with a smile. The only thing that sucks is when the drive thru line gets long. As a Starbucks gold member, I go to Starbucks pretty often and this location is by far one of my favorites. - has a drive-thru; outside of morning rush hours, it is easy breezy to go through and get your caffeine of the day without getting out of your car. - even during morning rush hours, it is often quick and easy to go into the store and order and be out within 10-15 minutes. - the store is spacious with plenty of seating and not as crowded as other stores. - the barristers are almost always friendly - Most of the time, more often than other starbucks, they get my customized order right! I am a full-time graduate research fellow so I need a place to study for long hours at a time and this location is perfect for it. They have 3 booths with outlets and the main table also has outlets underneath. The Wifi is quick, and the customer service is great. As a regular, I appreciate the employees knowing me by name and exactly what I will order - special thanks to Sean for this. It's a little weird to be excited when another location opens despite the fact that there's probably 5 within a mile of here. Nonetheless here lies another Starbucks and I enjoy it. The decor is a lot different than most I've been to and the pleasant surprise is the staff is made of great employees that I've met at other locations. There's a good amount of seating though the seats are pretty close to each other so if your like your elbow room than you may not like this one. The drive through is a plus plus plus for this area. The only downside is the way the parking lot is designed. It's not easy to maneuver around and if the drive through is packed, you'll be trapped in the parking lot. It's located on almost the exact intersection of del mar and Rosemead blvd so it's not the easiest place to access. If you're headed south on Rosemead than make a U- turn at the el pollo loco. This is the first Starbucks I've visited that I can say is just the worst. First off, they got my drive-thru order wrong and I didn't realize it until I drove away... (my bad for sure) But it was bad enough that I knew I wouldn't drink it. I turned around and went back (mind you, this isn't the easiest location to get in and out of) I pull to the drive they again and they ask to take my order, I let them know I received the wrong drink. I repeated what I asked for again and was asked to pull up to the window. Got to the window, and again was asked "what did you order?" By 2 different people and handed the original drink I received back over to them. Finally, after about 3 mins (that's a long time in drive-they) I got my drink! Yay! This store is sooooo aggravating. Maybe it's me. All I wanted was two frigg'n Bistro Boxes at 6:30 AM (i forgot to pack my lunch). The workers there have NO CLUE what Bistro boxes they have on hand. I asked the Barista thru the speaker system if they had a "Fruit & Cheese" box. It took her over a minute to look and she finally came back with "No - sorry". I asked if they had another one on hand and, after another minute, it was "No", Communication was hampered throughout this experience as the Barista continued to tell me, "The speaker system isn't working that well - sorry - but can you repeat yourself?". I was shouting at the speaker.... Finally, I said, "Sit tight, I'll drive around and we'll finish the order at the window." Earlier in the week, I drove thru this location just for coffee.....plain black coffee......THIS they seem they can handle. If, however, you want them to add a splash of sugar free hazelnut, or ask for a handle bag for a food item you purchased, ALL the wheels come off the wagon in a heartbeat. NOT a great store. read more
