I mean, it's a Starbucks so the service was fairly typical.....so we thought! We were traveling through the area and stopped in the drive through for drinks and then head on our way. I was dealing with some stomche alements and the urge hit me to go inside. We parked and I quickly went to the doors with my son to use the restroom. That's when we noticed the doors were locked. The baristas didn't notice us at first, so we jumped back into the drive through with our car. When we got to the window, they thought we had somethign wrong with our drinks. That's when we I exoained we we had 2 hours to drive and nothing around was open. The nice lady at the window said they weren't supposed to let enayone in, but to go around and she would! Had been coming to this location for years, mostly to get a drink and study for a while. Even prior to SB's recent policy changes to make their stores less friendly for spending time there as your "Third Place," this particular store has always been hostile to staying there longer than to just get your drink and leave. Some "hostile" features include: have no plugs in the past and few since their recent remodel, having limited seating to begin with and after their recent remodel they have even less seating by expanding the employee prep and service area into part of the old seating section, and during and even after COIVD, they had signs saying most of their seating was closed. In addition to the impression that they do not want you to stay here, their service has never been great as other Yelps's reviews indicate. I have never received rude treatment here like others have claimed, but the employees historically have been cold to indifferent compared to other locations and other brands. Most of the business historically seems to have been drive through at this location anyway. In general, we will probably try to avoid this location and go elsewhere and recommend you do the same, but just go for drive through if you must. read more

Whoever the one girl working 12/9/25 @ 7:50-8:00PM (not the one wearing the mask), you owe my mom and my family an apology. What kind of customer service/barista are you to roll your eyes when YOU made a mistake? For context, my family pulled up to this drive-thru because my mom wanted a decaf americano. I added on a hot chestnut praline latte. At the window, when we went to pay, they gave us the americano and an iced praline. I clarified that I ordered the hot version (which was reflected on the screen at the drive-thru btw), and she insisted we take the cold praline. I told her that we did not want it and she could toss it (she was already giving my mom attitude at the order kiosk so I just wanted to be out of there). Instead of taking the drink back, she just rolled her eyes at my mom and then left to have ANOTHER GIRL make the correct version. Hello? Not even a sorry? She didn't take the drink back, either, so we had to toss it ourselves. She could've at least offered it to someone else coming through the door or something. The best part is, she had the other girl give us our drink at the end. I understand your job might not be your favorite thing, but don't take it out on people who have no bearing to you. Whoever your supervisor is, I hope they take a second to reflect on what I wrote. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but you literally rolled your eyes at my family. Check your attitude. We saw this Starbucks on the way to Pomona, California, and we just had to stop for a cup of coffee on Triple Stars Day, get a snack, and use the convenient restroom. The observant cashier saw me at the door of the restroom and called out the door code to me... thank you! This is a cozy location with a drive-through, indoor dining, and outdoor seating. The free parking lot has about 8 regular stalls in the front and 2 ADA stalls. In the back, there are about 11 parking stalls. This is a handy spot on the busy Rosemead Boulevard. Note: The Los Angeles and California merchandise were very tempting! I saw a "Lakers" Stanley cup when I looked more closely... it was the last one on the shelf!!! I HAD TO get it!!! Yay!!! Stopped by this location. Not my usual, but I'm happy I did. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I made the mistake of putting in my mobile order a little too early. However, the staff inside was able to make my mobile order fast and give it to me via the drive-through. The whole building was clean from the inside out. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. While I was grabbing my drink from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. Ordered the frap and the matcha. Both were off. The frap was very watery, more like drinking a latte than a frap. the matcha tasted weird since it wasn't mixed correctly. One sip has no taste and another sip has a bitter matcha flavor but mostly tasteless than a matcha frap. Since there are so many Starbucks around, I'm going to skip and bypass this location (Del Mar and Rosemead) and order from another Starbucks! read more

This is such a chill Starbucks compared to others I've visited. The baristas are great and super nice, asking questions on how we like our drink served and very informative. I've not been to this location too much, as there are several Starbucks locations in the area. The parking and entrance are rather tight, so pay attention to the signs for the entrance and exit. I am so sad this a trial location for the new cups. The new cold cups are awful and because you cannot see into them the last couple of times we have come my drinks are always completely ice. Prices go up and with the cups you get even less coffee for your money. Staff is always friendly which is great but product is what we are paying for. read more

Visitation Rights: Twice Ambiance/Decor: Your typical coffee shop vibe with modern furnishings to sit, eat, drink, semi work (they have wifi, but there's no available outlet to plug in) and/or chit chat. They have some pretty cool artwork near the area that you pick up drinks and a teamwork section with pictures of all the baristas that work at this location. Soo coool! If you can't find a seat inside, they do have a shaded outdoor patio for you. Service: Service was really good. Ayla (barista) was friendly and very attentive. She remembered my name and knew what I ordered the last time I was here. Drink Of Choice: Been going out of my comfort zone and ordered a venti iced chai tea latte with ice on the side. It's one of my go to drinks when I feel like splurging. Food Of Choice: Been getting the plain bagel with cream cheese (Not all the time I get the cream cheese. I'm usually content with getting two butters that cost ZERO cents. Very tight drive thru and very tight parking lot. They are usually pretty busy throughout the day. Let them know your ready to assist, maybe say "hello, how may I help you, or What can I get started for you today. Currently my only go to Starbucks on work days, everyone is super friendly and nice. Christine (I think) for some reason remembers me and I LOVE IT. It kind of makes me feel specials. :) Or maybe she remembers me because I bring in my own cup with my name on it and always order the same drink. Caramel Macchiato with Soy and extra caramel. Haha. If you don't want to get out of your car, the drive thru is always super quick. Parking is easy, it has their own lot, it's never full. To my knowledge there isn't street parking. read more

I go to the same Starbucks every morning Monday through Friday and order the same drink. Several weeks ago there was an employee not wearing a mask having verbal conversations around the espresso machine, while opening the refrigerator and talking next to the cash register. I asked the cashier to please ask the employee to put on a mask, however the entire 10 to 12 minutes I was there waiting for my drink the employee did not put on his mask. I called Starbucks to file a complaint so they could deal with it privately and internally, however that was apparently not the case. Today the same employee was not wearing a mask, again talking while opening the mini refrigerator and standing next to the espresso machine in clear view of the window without a mask. I again asked the cashier to ask the employee to put on a mask, which she did and then explain to me that he "forgot". This is absolutely reprehensible and violates the public health of every patron that has gone to this Starbucks. Every employee that was working is also culpable for allowing that employee to be in the service area around the drinks, cups and refrigerators speaking without a mask. I again called the Starbucks main line to file a complaint, but I felt it was an extreme violation of the health code and my responsibility to share it publicly for the safety of everyone. read more

This Starbucks with a drive-thru is so clutch. It's our go-to for a midday drink run while at work. There is actually another Starbucks that's a little closer to our office but this one with its convenient drive-thru and friendly staff is the clear choice for us every time. I'm not a big coffee drinker so I'm getting more the colder, blended drinks or iced teas. I also have been getting the not so "secret" pink, purple, green blue and orange drinks that everyone has probably seen on social media now. It's a fun little change from the normal drink orders. You can tell this Starbucks location was a Taco Bell before. It has the shape. Starbucks just covered it in its dark wood signature and voila.... instant modern coffee shop. Visited this Starbucks today and was very displeased with my order. I ordered a venti chestnut praline latte and their drink quality is trash! I did not even take a sip of my latte and there was a good 2 inches of drink missing from my cup! Mistake #1: didn't fill up my drink all the way (it isn't hard to steam extra milk Mistake #2: drink was missing whipped cream which is standard for this drink (at least cover up your mistake of not steaming enough milk with the whipped cream) Mistake #3: adding nutmeg/ cinnamon as a topping instead of the chestnut praline topping (at this point, please learn how to make your drinks and what goes into it) Mistake #4: charging me for a puppaccino! Even my store manager told me that puppaccinos are FREE Question: if I asked for extra whipped cream on my latte, wouldn't the whip have been free? Answer, yes... so why charge me for it? When I'm feeling lazy I like going to this Starbucks because they have a drive-thru. In the mornings it can get busy so there is a long line. This location is convenient and close to me. I visit this location on a regular basis and it will be the last time . Went through the drive through and got a drink and gift card ( drink was $5 and change and I got a $30 gift card ) . The lady ringing me up clearly was struggling. She even had a manager help her . After I left I looked at my receipt and realized I was charged $35 and change but only got a $20 gift card . Ok! No problem people make mistakes. I return to the Starbucks and go inside where I met my a RUD manager that could not be bothered to help me no did he want to .
