He is incredibly friendly, always smiling, and brings such an upbeat energy every time I see him. It's clear he really cares about both the customers and the store. I often notice him cleaning and keeping things in order, which I really appreciate--it makes the environment feel safe and welcoming. It's the kind of attention to detail that doesn't go unnoticed. This might be the rudest Starbucks I've ever been to. They always have no customers and I can see why LOL the staff doesn't greet you when you come in and they're really unfriendly. Me and my friend came in the other day and they just side eyed us the entire time while they tried to look busy. I was a Starbucks supervisor in a busy drive thru location for 6 years so I know what it's like to be stressed at work. This location has about five baristas doing random tasks and they still went out of their way to kick us out in a rude way. Mind you I used to run an entire store making $12,000 a day with 3 people and we were still nice to customers. I understand corporate policy but the way it was done was extremely shameful. Siren training always emphasized greeting customers by introducing yourself and getting the customer's names before saying what you need to say. This promotes de-escalation and makes the process way less hostile. With how quiet it was, you would think more effort would be put in to encourage the potential customer to feel welcome or to come back another time. I suggest "Hello my name is ____ what's your name? Nice to meet you ____, I just wanted to share with you that our corporate policy recently changed and no longer allows customers to enjoy the Third Space without a purchase. I'm really sorry for any inconvenience but I hope you guys have a nice day". Instead what we got was "are you guys gonna buy anything? My manager is here and you have to buy something to sit here". Notice the difference in tone? More training needs to be done if you want to enforce these new policies like charging for water, seating etc and still keep customers coming back. I'm sure this employee was in a poor mood bc it looked like they were making her do everything and I get it but I brought my pregnant sister here last year for a water cup and was told about the policy in a MUCH better way. I also think Starbucks should provide some clear signage about these new policies and have stores put it outside on the door to prevent these situations. Consistently have negative customer service interactions here - I'd seriously rather go to competition. I usually go to this Starbucks but one time I came in here with a client that I work with and she got a venti iced water. The usual times she's came here she never complained about the water. But this time on Friday we came in and ordered a venti iced water and said the water tasted different with other things inside the water. 15 minutes after her stomach was hurting she had constant diarrhea and got a headache after. In an age where customer service and quality are in a dangerously steep decline (emphasis on the former), it's so great to see some businesses still upholding their high standards. I don't know what happened to this place. Seems to be a matter of poor management style. It's dark. No lights on the menu board. LOUD hip hop music, which cause all the customers to speak loud over it. When I mentioned these things to the employees they just gave me that "I don't get paid enough to care" look. And even though they had seven employees on shift, they still couldn't keep up with the orders. Lots of customers backed up waiting for the orders, or maybe they couldn't hear their names called over the loud music, which is probably kept loud to keep out the laptop loiterers. Every single time I'm there, not one person says hello, smiles or even bothers to listen to my order. I've had many experiences where the workers are talking amongst themselves and don't acknowledge customers. I've had where the girl spends 10 min talking to the guy in front of me, takes my order wrong and with attitude and has another 10 minute conversation with the guy behind me. The last one was enough for me, when I asked the girl if she can put some cream on my drink that was already supposed to have cream in it, rolled her eyes at me. I'm done with this place. The only variables would be the employees, cleanliness of the store, and whether the recipes are made correctly or not. A little disappointed by the staff at this location. Came by with my friend to do some computer work. Location is neat and not overcrowded like some Starbucks, so that's a plus. But like I said before, a less than impressive staff. I thought Starbucks was a coffee shop geared towards providing a mellow atmosphere for people to quietly socialize or send out emails/study. At this place, all four or five employees were speaking very obnoxiously about very unprofessional topics and being very disruptive for the few patrons all working quietly on their laptops. Raised voices, talking very loudly about what they never clean behind their bar (um very gross, and you should know better than to vocalize for all your customers to hear how dirty your establishment is it's just not okay, period.) One very tall guy behind the bar in particular (who wasn't wearing a signifying barista apron I might add) was unnecessarily obnoxious when talking to his coworkers about his 16 year old girlfriend and her concerning age. WE DON'T CARE WE JUST WANT TO STUDY. To say the least, it was beyond difficult to study (the whole reason students go to starbucks at all) and it made for a very unfortunate first impression. To top it off, they gave only two of their patrons a courtesy closing call at 7:57. She proceeded to yell CLOSE IN ONE MINUTE at 7:59. At least 15 minutes next time please. Let me start out by saying that Linda and Marisha are such sweethearts! Linda would always greet me with an "I know you" smile which made me feel good after going here almost every morning over the summer. Marisha made my drink the other day and on that day I was feeling particularly down and invisible to the world, when she asked me how I was and how I've been! In that moment, I lit up inside and felt like "wow that was really nice of her" and before I left, I told her thank you for making my day and for my delicious drink. Marisha should be partner of the month if she isn't already. She has a heartwarming smile that lights up any morning! And another thing- THIS location is the FRIENDLIEST and most consistent in taste with their drinks. Also, the music is usually at a perfect volume which allows the use of regular headphones to study not industrial strength, like the drive thru Starbucks who BLASTS THEIR MUSIC LIKE ITS AN EDM music festival thingy. Pretty typical starbucks. Don't come to this one that often but it's closer to my house and came this morning to do some work. Something about this location is of to me. Maybe it's the bad layout of tables and chairs but trying to work here was not easy like it usually is at Starbucks. The service was fine and the coffee was as expected but I feel with a better layout it wouldn't feel so dark and closed off.
