Came here after lunch. The staff is nice and helpful. The place is clean and well-maintained. They had a bunch of seasonal flavors that were fun to try. We got their strawberry and honey vanilla froyo and topped it with cheesecake bits. Strawberry- A good mixture of fruity and creamy. It has a strong strawberry flavor that had a perfect blend of sweet and a hint of tart. Very refreshing! Honey Vanilla- The base was smooth and creamy. I love that this location is just down the street from my home. I tend to stop quite often when I'm in the mood for something sweet. Not too often do I see machines out of yogurt or out service at this location and that is always a plus. This place is always clean, variety in flavors and toppings. The staff are always very friendly and helpful with anything that is needed. Another thing I should mention is the availability of parking. We've been going to Yogurtland ever since this concept opened. Sadly you don't see many around anymore. We had to stop at this one since we needed to share the joy with our kiddos. There's just something about being able to pick your own yogurt flavors and all the toppings in the world that makes it extra special. The thing I enjoy about these places is that it's easy for me to not only have the ability to portion control, but also we have the option of multiple flavors and choices. Finally the rink was right to stop for some Fro Yo on our Roadtrip to Cali from Canada! The kiddo and I had left the rest of the fam jam at the hotel for some quiet and downtime so we hit up target and stopped here en route. The store was clean and bright BUT had the strongest cleaning product smell I have ever encountered in a food service place in my life. It was so strong that my son and I both agreed we cousins not eat inside. Thankfully it was a bit overcast and breezy enough that we were able to comfortably sit outside for our treat before hitting up Target (in the same complex). They had a couple cool things here that we've never encountered in our local Fro Yo shops back home like whole lychee fruit and chocolate shell topping! The kiddo always fills his bowl too fast so our total was more than I'd like but the smile on his face made it worth the stop. We only saw one staff on our visit but they were attentive and helpful with the little taster cups. Unfortunately the Fro Yo was pretty liquidy (is that even a word, lol) here and melting instantly even as it hit the sample cups. Yogurtland gift cards are the favorite gift cards to giveaway for kids gifts and I often purchase them in store and online. This is the closest Yogurtland to us so we frequently come here. My kids and I came here on 6/11 for the Lilac Spoon Giveaway Promotion. At the time of checkout, the cashier gave me the option to use a credit I had, so I used it. I asked if I received any spoons with my purchase and the cashier handed me 1. 2 of the 3 kids were excited to receive one since I knew we'd spend around $24. Each $12 spent would give you 1 spoon. The promo stated **Max of 4 spoons per transaction and when I asked if I received a 2nd spoon since my original total was around $24 she said no. I said okay, thinking maybe the $12 for each spoon was before tax, which I'd totally understand. When I asked more about the promo, the cashier stated that it's 1 spoon per transaction. My 11 year old was confused because he saw the promo highlight that I saw too, so then I pointed to the board and said "well it states here that it's 4 spoons max per transaction." She mentioned "no it's 1 spoon per transaction" implying that no matter how much I spent on one transaction, I would still only receive 1 spoon, without giving options to find a solution to my issue. These promos give stores the opportunity to upsell and make higher sales. I would've bought into it myself if she would've said, "no problem, here is why you received one spoon, but if you'd like to receive a second spoon, just add this much to your total with more yogurt or toppings or decline the credit you used for another time". A simple problem solving would've solved this. But this is a case of "I'm right, you're wrong"... Stuff like this usually doesn't bother me, but this incident got me a little upset. I reached out to corporate about this and after a few emails with guest relations, they pulled my receipt and confirmed that it was correct that I received one spoon. Which I'm totally okay with. But, no acknowledgement of me being misinformed. At this point it's not about how many spoons I received, it's about how the information was relayed, and how I was dismissed by the cashier and now guest relations. So now I'm left feeling like they're not concerned about their employee misinforming customers with wrong info or the customer experience. This experience has me reassessing my consumer loyalty. read more

The Pineapple Mango flavor was pretty delicious yesterday if you are into fruit flavors instead a more decadent chocolate or churro cinnamon. Vanilla and Cheesecake are also usually always a safe choice as well. They do offer sample cups which are always a good thing if you aren't sure about a flavor like the boba tea - they nailed the flavor, but it is on the sweeter brown sugar side and missing the boba chewy texture. My stars of my review are based in regards to how they handle stacking chairs prior to closing time. I noticed a group of people who came after us who thought they were about to close because one staff member was stacking all the chairs in the dining area up - he responded to them that they weren't closing tho. Overall, the store was clean and the staff were friendly, and this is usually one of the better locations to go to... apparently earlier than later. read more

I came here with my girlfriend at 9:45 and a young male worker was already mopping the floor right by the yogurt dispensers. I just worry it's a hazard for other people coming in. Luckily my shoes have a good amount of traction but some other people may have slipped. I understand wanting to get out early on a Saturday night but it shouldn't be at the cost of peoples safety. OK. A few things about Yogurtland here in our local Costa Mesa. We've come here before. The yogurt is very delicious and the customer service is nice. However, today decided to sit down in the store and enjoy our yogurt. The cleanliness of the establishment was way below par. Windows are dirty with fingerprints and hand marks, the walls were stayed with dirt. The glass partitions have fingerprints on them and stains of liquid that have been there for quite some time. The tables need to be wiped down and so do the chairs. and the levers on the yogurt dispenser machines need to be wiped down periodically throughout the day with Clorox wipes. I left there feeling unclean and unsanitary. Not sure if I will go back after seeing the grime on the walls. Health department should write them a C At best. Have the employees intermittently throughout the day, scrub the walls and get some Clorox wipes to clean the tables and chairs. And also the dispensers. Just a suggestion! read more

Heads up this is a very small Yogurtland with about 1/3 less choices but they get 5 stars from me because their yogurt is amazing and now we finally have a location close to us! Looks like during peak times it can get very crowded since there is a Chinese restaurant that draws in huge family and group crowds. But it comes in waves so my husband and I just waited for the crowd to die down. Like all Yogurtlands, the tasting cups were in a bin where you could take as many as you want. Such a nice touch. The limited edition flavor was Horchata and it was awesome! And fat free! I usually go for the fat free flavors since they are much lower in fat compared to even the low fat flavors, plus it helps me decide since they all taste so good! In the end I went with a mix of Horchata, Taro, and Matcha Green Tea. Topped it off with a few blackberries and was good to go! read more

Yogurtland seems to think they are Baskin Robbins (which funny enough is right across the parking lot). They only carry ice cream versions of vanilla and chocolate and have now added "drinkable creations", a marketing joke of a milkshake. They even told us both of those flavors will not be coming back as yogurt. For those of you that go to yogurtland for yogurt, this is quickly becoming the lesser selection. Oh, and they've raised the prices again per ounce for a nice topping off. We're certainly not wasting our money here and we're making sure our friends don't as well. We'll go check out Baskin Robbins or Coldstone for a better selection on ice cream and find another shop for yogurt. We'll try it again when they are done with their identity crisis. read more

When the sweet tooth comes a calling.. and Ive been staying strong with my diet, I head to Yogurtland. Its FroYo and its how it should be. If you add all the extras.. well.. its not FroYo anymore, but the experience here is still fun. Let's dish.. This loc is close to other shops and dining, also close to Target which is a plus. This place is busy, and sometimes over crowded. The monthly flavors are interesting and with a sample cup available, worth a try. I try not to get the same flavor every time I come here, however I always end up with the cake batter or dutch chocolate. Oh well it is what it is. Yummy! The environment here is from kids to grandparents, all taking part in the self serve yogurt craze. Its a chain, so to be expected, service is decent, and place is fairly clean and always smells clean too. Perks: Seasonal flavors come around. Be sure to check future deets. They do offer a frequent customer card, so let them know if you're interested. Downsides: Weekends are crowded, and inside dining area can be cramped. I love this place. I go AT LEAST 3 times a week, and even more on good weeks. LOL. I like that their yogurt is actually firm, and not melted! I hate melted yogurt! My usual is plain tart with captain crunch, fruity pebbles, and fruits. YUM. Although they have many other flavors, I'm loyal to the original tart :) The toppings are usually always full, and kept clean. The employees are nice as well. I love Yogurtland! Every location looks the same as far as set up is concerned but the employees and cleanliness matters to me and each location can be different. This location is always quite busy. When you walk in you go to the back (kind of feels like wasted space) and there are your selections. My favorite is the chocolate or chocolate with p-nut butter when they have it. Some locations do not. The toppings are ok but I like nuts on mine and sometimes they do not have chopped almonds which to me is delicious with strawberries. Yum! As far as cleanliness here it is not always very clean. Some employees are right there in front all the time keeping topping area clean and other times they go in back and stay. It is Hit and Miss. Nevertheless when I am in Costa Mesa and need a yogurt fix this is my place. I have a Yogurtland loyalty card which says "Sometimes I use my yogurt as an excuse to eat a cup full of candy" for me...it is an excuse to eat strawberries and nuts in a creamy, delicious cup of chocolate yogurt. On my first visit to an OC area Yogurtland in 2007, I wasn't too impressed despite the out-the-door nonstop lines. But what a difference a couple of years makes.. My second visit was this location. Super clean store, nice variety of toppings, and great selection of flavors. Original Tart is always my first choice when frequenting a froyo spot and this Yogurtland's was pretty good. I will say the standout though is their Taro. Spot on taste, just right consistency - not too creamy. Customer service was friendly and efficient. And their price point is 0.23cents/oz! That's dirt cheap. You won't find froyo in the Bay area for less than .30cents/oz. I'll have to check out their locations in the south bay. read more
