walked in for a mobile order that was completed on the app, but we did not receive our drink and croissant for 10 minutes after it told us our order was ready. The workers were rude and complaining about being backed up when there was about five people in the store. The woman that was doing the warmed goods would put the items in the warmer and then hoard them over there for about 10 minutes until her basket was full and then she would drop it off to the mobile order pick up counter. our croissant was done for probably about 10 minutes. And when we finally received it, it was cold. Do not come to the Starbucks they don't care about your time. read more

Really good drinks and service at this Starbucks - I love their refreshers and frappucinos when I'm not feeling coffee. The wait is always a bit long just because it's a busy location in Brookline Village, but it's always worth it. I love getting food and drink from here and walking over to Emerson Garden and eating on a nice day. read more

Very nice store. Everything was clean except the table could have used a wipe, but I get it. That would be hard to keep up with and they are busy. The ladies behind the counter are super friendly and cheerful. That gives the whole store a nice vibe.I see that they have regulars - a couple came in and they had seen them coming and already started their coffees! Nice touch! I mean this genuinely: if you want to order from here using the app, order 20-30 minutes ahead. I will order from home and get to the store in 15 minutes but STILL have to wait 10-15 more minutes to get my food (which is usually a basic iced coffee and sous vid eggs). What really gets me is that I could stand there for 20-30 minutes clearly waiting but won't even get acknowledged by a worker. Yesterday I was having a bad morning and hoped my favorite coffee would cheer me up. Unfortunately, I dropped it before I made it to my car. If you've been in my shoes before then you know how I was feeling. The employees at this location went above and beyond to change my day. They were sympathetic and even wrote a nice message on my new coffee. Their ability to show kindness meant the world to me and helped improve my day. The services I received yesterday were like no other. I had ordered 2 drinks and both were incorrect and when asked for a refund I was offered to take the incorrect items because they were "already made and the barista spent time on the order." The manager on shift was extremely inappropriate with said comment and I did not receive my refund for either drink. I will not be going back to this location because of the horrible customer service that I received. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

Like one of the previous reviewers says - a Starbucks is a Starbucks. But the Brookline Village Starbucks is one of my favorite. I like the spacious set-up, which I find particularly good for doing work on my lap top. I come here daily during the week between 10:30am-2pm. The staff has a lot of fresh/new faces that have always delivered great service. From my experience, if I'm here past 2pm, the place gets packed with younger kids/high school students and that can be a difficult environment to do your work. That being said, you can't always expect your local Starbucks to be a library. So I roll with it and look forward to enjoying my late mornings/afternoons here. read more

This Starbucks has been my favorite for 6 years. Wonderful staff and good coffee. Unfortunately several recently hired baristas have caused me to downgrade from my glowing Yelp review of several years ago. Snarkiness and bad attitude do not belong in a job where one interacts with the public. FINALLY A STARBUCKS THAT HAS NO CRAZY LINES EARLY IN THE MORNING. Honestly other starbucks had driven me nuts with their crazy lines and 15 minutes+ wait (even with mobile ordering). I am able to order my coffee, have it ready in less than 5 mins (regardless of the drink order), and still have 15 minutes to spare before work - all in the course of less than 30 minutes, which is impossible if you go to other locations, such as the ones in Longwood Medical Area. This is a major plus for me because I don't have to wake up super super early to ensure that I get my morning coffee fix before work. read more

There are a lot of places to sit at this location. That is about the only good thing I can say. The staff here are completely incompetent. They seem flustered when you know how to order your drink and they realize that they will have to do more than just pull some coffee into a cup for you. There has been more than one instance that I have had to ask them to re-make my drink because I've seen them make it with regular milk, not soy. They have dumped out the cup and not even rinsed it and remade it with soy and an attitude. I have not called them out on this though - cause I've worked retail - but I have desperately been thinking of a reason not to call the store manager and ask them what is up with the employees. I've been coming here for years. It was great when I started coming in, and it's only gotten better with time. Definitely one of the best Starbucks I've ever encountered, if not THE best. They redesigned the space last year, and that pushed it from 'good but weirdly cramped' into 'great' territory. The giant table provides ample seating and there are plenty of outlets for computers. The staff just flat out rocks. They generally keep the line moving like clockwork, even during the big rushes in the morning, and on top of that are friendly, fun, and efficient. Top notch customer service. And of course the coffee and espresso drinks are great. As are the foodstuffs. So: great place, great people, great service, and great drinks. read more

The employees are all great -- very friendly and they dont look at me like I'm stupid when I stumble over saying "grande tazo passion iced tea lemonade -- sweetened." I always managed to forget one of the key words (iced...lemonade...the size I want). Busy in the morning and also sometimes around 2:30 -- especially if the local school children get out early. If you are looking for a way to create high back pain between your shoulders, make sure to take your laptop and use it on the awkwardly high table on the left as you enter the front door. I'm guessing Shaquille O'neal designed the table as no human can comfortably type at that height. Also if it's sunny, you'll get absolutely blinded sitting there and will not be able to see your computer screen (or anything for that matter) for hours. The sun is like a laser beam coming in the front window. Overall, service was good and this Starbucks is clean on the inside. Confirming my Coolidge Corner - Brookline Village theorem. Coolidge Corner = Clean on the outside, Dirty on the Inside Brookline Village = Dirty on the outside, Clean on the inside I also like this Starbucks more than the one at Coolidge Corner because there is not the usual herd of teenage kids strewn about the inside going apeshit about the release of some awful Vampire movie. read more

Good quality, short wait times, friendly attitude, and a fair amount of seating for a huge crowd that's always there. I visit mainly in the afternoons; I have no idea re: the mornings. There's parking behind the building that usually has a ton of spaces open. It's cheap and you can pay by credit card! A nice touch for a daily auto commuter like myself. In response to the lackluster review below, I believe that the 3 star rating given was unjustifiably low especially considering that no real negative points were made in the review. I've lived in Brookline Village for about 2 years now, and this Starbucks has been proven to be one of my favorites. This shop boasts extremely fast drink turnaround, consistently correct and well made drinks, and friendly service. The interior seats more people than any other coffee shop in the area, and there are plenty of outlets for people who bring their computers (which is one of my only gripes about the Coolidge Corner Starbucks). In summary: good service, well-made drinks, and customer convenience. read more
