Nice coffee shop within a few minutes walk from the Inn at Longwood Medical Center where we stayed during the Boston Marathon. Good coffee drinks, smoothies, cold drinks, nice staff, and a decent amount of seating with a clean and chill decor. Tasty pastry, sandwich, and salad selection. I did mobile order twice through uber eats and did pick up- they were exceptionally fast both times even on busy mornings. I have studied in here before and it is a pretty nice environment for that. The ham and cheese croissant was really good, pain au chocolate was decent. The matcha I got was honestly a little grainy and not my favorite matcha. I think maybe it wasn't completely incorporated? Peaceful compared to other locations, but note that it shares a bathroom with the building lobby, which requires you to request access from the receptionist. A great Caffe Nero location! I have always had a good experience here, from consistent drinks to friendly service, and they are pretty efficient, even during rushes. The morning can get pretty packed with doctors, students, and healthcare workers before heading to work or school. Even then, they take the time to get your drink order done right and do a great job making the experience enjoyable. You won't be waiting all day for your drink either. The location has a decent amount of seating inside and outside, as well as right outside the cafe (in the building lobby). I love the iced vanilla lattes here, as well as their matcha. They have dairy free milk options and lots of ways to customize drinks with flavors. They have seasonal specialty drinks too, which always are a fun option to explore. For the bakery/food items, they do have a nice variety of sandwiches, soups, and bakery items (croissants, cookies, muffins, cake, and even macaroons). There are also grab and go things they have prepped and a good set of options for granola bars (with some allergen friendly ones). They have some gluten free and vegan options across the food/bakery and packaged items, so there is something for everyone. The vegan breakfast sandwich is one of my personal favorites. Ooooh and they have a rewards program! If you plan on stopping in even occasionally across one of the Caffe Nero locations, definitely a plug to download the app to pay and earn stamps towards a free drink! The price for the size of the cold brew is good - the tasting notes were too smoky and dark but at least the coffee was kinda smooth. It goes well with the chocolate espresso muffin that they sell here, but I probably would not get to cold brew again. It is very quiet and was not super crowded on a Saturday morning, so I was very surprised to see that as Neros are typically packed on weekend mornings. I've been to this Caffe Nero a few times. It's a reliable stop while in the Longwood area, with creative and comfy seating options and classic Caffe Nero drinks: not brilliant, but decent and consistent. This is the second Caffè Nero location I've visited, and it is quickly becoming my favorite coffee in Boston! This location is right in the medical center, so they were super busy but kept the line moving very quickly and efficiently. The workers were also very kind and did an awesome job making the drinks. They have lots of milk options (0.75$ extra!) and decaf espresso too. They also have indoor seating as well as a few tables and chairs outside too. A lot of the indoor seats are barstools at the window, so its nice to get some work done. Like the other locations, you can get your loyalty card stamped here for a free drink. read more

Great drinks and snacks but I wish there was more indoor seating. This is the best place for espresso drinks in the Longwood area but it's practically impossible to find a place to sit unless you don't mind the bar seats by the window. Pretty much any other restaurant in the area has more seating than Caffe Nero, but I still think the drink quality here is worth possibly having to sit outside in the cold. Don't forget to get their stamp card to get a free drink after 10 purchases! They offer soymilk and almond milk as non-dairy options. I'm spoiled in the coffee realm of my hometown, I realize, but the latte here is just basic. The shop is cute enough and I love that they have duos of comfy chairs and small tables geared for conversation. I did find the setup a bit backwards, however, when you have to walk to the back of the coffee bar to order and then make your way to the door. I wasn't alone in this observation either. I appreciate that there were soy and almondmilk options as well, but vegan eats there were none. Not major, given that Clover is next door anyway. Why do I not have a photo of the soy latte I ordered? Because even though I ordered in, I got it served in a to go cup with a take-it-or-leave-it shrug from the barista when he acknowledged the mistake. This place is a joke. Went to grab quick cup of coffee before visiting my wife in the hospital. Only one person behind the counter. Two customers ordered their drinks so barista tells me it will be a minute While she handles that order. Five minutes later she's ready. I ask for a small coffee. She says we're all out of drip coffee and it will be another five to ten minutes. She offers me a cafe americano which is faster. I opt for that to save time. It's tastes bland. Two sips later I throw it out. A waste of time and money. read more

Came here during lunch time to meet my sister for some coffee and a quick snack. The employees here are SUPER friendly and attentive to their customers. We both ordered a caramel latte and it was delicious !! I also had their almond croissant and that was delicious as well! I can't stop thinking about it. The food comes out nice and fresh. If you are driving, it might be difficult to find a meter spot nearby so if you can, definitely try to take public transportation. Theres limited seating inside the shop, but there are also some tables in the hallway which is a nice area to relax. Don't forget to get their rewards card to collect the stamps! Cute little coffee shop with nice seating areas. I had a latte and felt that the coffee was a bit on the weak side - but maybe it was just one of those days...other then that, it was really good. The workers are super sweet and energetic. They deal with a lot of people who want to quickly come and go (lots of doctors, med students doing residency, general fast paced people, etc.), but they never lost their smile and enthusiasm. +1 for that. read more

I'm a fan of Caffè Nero's vibe, which unfortunately gets a bit choked out when squished in to a sliver of a lobby. The roomy sprawl of mismatched seats yields to butt-grazing (ew) as customers wedge themselves past tightly packed tables. Cold brew on tap is still rad, and the baked good spread is competitive. For a quick cup on the go, this Nero fits the bill. Just don't expect a cozy nook to sip a latte. read more

This Cafe Nero location has always been (and ongoing) part of my daily routine every morning. They have one of best quality coffee/tea and food, atmosphere, customer service, and definitely the unique factor. I used to be on the fence about the new employees here; sometimes new staff = mistakes (it's to be expected right?). But now they have a consistent crew here and I love it! Everyone here, especially Neeyah (I probably butchered the spelling), makes sure I have a perfect cup of Earl Grey tea latte with amaretto along with a warm freshly baked chocolate croissant every morning. Sometimes when I'm in a hurry and there's a line, I'll wait because I know they are fast, efficient and on top of that, they always manage to be exceptionally friendly. We needed to grab a quick and satisfying bite to eat and refuel with caffeine prior to setting off for a long roadtrip. We stopped in here as a good stopping point and were greeted by friendly smiles in an inviting setting. We ordered a latte and cappuccino, as well as the vegan breakfast sandwich and caprese. Passing the pastry counter made my mouth water, but alas...I successfully resisted. The vegan sandwich was a lot tastier than I expected and the caprese was good too. The caffeinated beverages hit the spot and offered the right amount of buzz to get us going again. You get skipped, I was at the front of the line and had to literally go to the back of the line just to get noticed again to order. Caffe Nero follows me everywhere I go and I'M SO HAPPY THAT IT DOES! All kidding aside, this location tries to mimic the DTX location with the beauteous light fixtures, but it doesn't have the same impact because the space is so much smaller here. The building is extremely clean and modern, though, so it's not without its perks... you just don't get the same "Beauty and the Beast" type of coziness that you get from the DTX location. Regardless, it's the same amazing coffee and same delicious pastries, so no sacrifice in flavor. They also have free WIFI with a good amount of outlets. Always a plus. PS. I don't usually go to this Caffe Nero since it's a further walk than the one in the South End, but I'm so glad I did. There's a line pretty consistently, but it moves really fast. I love that they play classical music and have bar stool seating (I like standing while I work). It's fairly empty seating-wise (most people take their orders to go) except around lunchtime, so there's always seating; there's also seating outside the shop inside the adjoining building. The actual coffee is really good. I got the cold brew and it was less than $3 for 16 oz, which is a good price. It's smooth and one of the best I've had in Boston. They also have a stamp card so if you frequent any of the Caffe Nero locations, pick one up! read more

Some of them are rude and don't believe you when you tell them your last cappuccino wasn't made properly. This location needs more training. read more

The Nero experience is total pandemonium. It's morning and bustling because a billion people work in Longwood, and they all need caffeine and sustenance just like I do. We all head to Nero for good coffee, but somehow their operations person has designed literally the opposite of what every process manager had done since the first Model T automobile was invented. Instead of taking my order, and sending me to pay, the hostess asks three of us simultaneously what we'd like to drink and eat. We rattle off a combination of coffee drinks, milk preferences, pastries and/or sandwiches. "Large dark roast with room, and a bacon and cheese croissant, please," I say, slightly more loud and artificially articulate than is necessary, but I'm already uncomfortable with this process. She scurries away. "That's at least 9 nine things she has to remember," I think. "Maybe it was 10?" I can't remember. I'm anxious. I watch closely as my coffee gets poured, and then waits patiently on the counter while the hostess prepares a latte and starts warming a sandwich. People are chattering their requests to another host. "She's grabbing a second muffin," I think to myself. "I thought that was supposed to be a cookie?" I'm hovering near the register, eyeing my coffee and ready to pay, but two other people have just gotten their order, and I have to back away so they can squeeze by. It's been five minutes. The hostess beckons me forward again. She has my coffee and sandwich! The other woman in our group has disappeared. "I didn't even see her pay," I think to myself, distracted by the buzzing of the espresso machine and din of conversation. I count two food bags and two cups -- good. I hope there's room for milk. I don't remember handing her my card, but she's handing it back to me and asking for my loyalty stamp card. I hold out my credit card again, and she's already asking the next group for their orders. Never mind, I need to get out of here. I shuffle to the service counter and pour out some coffee to make room for milk. My friends have reappeared. We all have drinks and food bags -- I let out a sigh of relief. We pass back on to the quiet sidewalk to collect our thoughts, and traverse the last two blocks to work. I bite into my sandwich. Ham. One of the best coffee in Boston area, and please don't compare it to Starbucks. Love the ice latte and cold brew. Classic brew was very nice and smooth. One of Nero's biggest attractions is the freshly baked pastries. So GOOD! Chocolate Croissant is awesome. Butter Croissant is amazing as well. If you are lucky, like I was recently, you can get a hot out of the oven Croissant. Nothing can beat that. I had some great staff and some so-so ones. The Nero app is not in English, hope they can change that soon. read more

Love Caffe Nero for their chai lattes, pistachio muffins, and almond cake. Perfect pick me up treats. They have a loyalty rewards card, and when you buy 10 drinks, you get the next free. Generally the seating is quite full but it does seem like a nice place to linger if you could find a place. Spills into the neighboring lobby, and outdoors during the summer. Lines can get long and don't move super fast. Staff are always friendly. They have great bakery items. Haven't tried their lunch offerings but the salads seem pretty expensive ($10+ for small prepackaged container). read more
