What is the point of having self serve coffee machines if you do not allow customers to do their own paper in the machine! I purposely bring my own paper so that I don't have to pay an extra charge to have a person standing on the counter at Staples. This review is for the TSA Precheck service they offer. It was SO easy! I filled out the form online (takes less than 5 minutes) and set up an appointment. I actually wasn't able to make my appointment, so I canceled and rescheduled online with ease. The cubicle you go to is located in the back left of the store. There was another lady in there and I only had to wait maybe 2 minutes. Once it was my turn, the entire process took about 7 minutes. The guy assisting me was really friendly and helpful. I'm so glad Staples offers this service, it was so much more convenient than having to do it at the airport. Easiest process ever! If you are considering getting your TSA Precheck, definitely do it here! $85 and I am good to go for 5 years! read more

I went to this Staples to get some chrismas cards printed out for my business and they didn't print them correctly and I didn't look at them until 2 weeks later. They made a huge mistake! They cut off all the words and left out prices of the drawings I drew and colored! I would not recommend getting them printed without looking at them afterward! I tried to be seen as a walk-in at the Garden Grove location, only to be turned away as the regularly scheduled appointments were showing up danggit! I didn't want to chance being turned away again, and made an appointment for the next available appointment. Brea had availability sooner than Garden Grove. Off to Brea I go! My appointment was for Friday, 8/2. I got my KTN today, 8/5! Also, tip to those who've changed names due to marriage, divorce, etc - it's quicker to get a new KTN than to do a name change. read more

I've always received the best customer service from the printing staff anytime I needed print work. The one star is for the rudest manager ( Asian person) ever. My husband and I went to purchase a desk chair. While my husband and the associate were looking at the chairs, I walk to the back of the store to use the ladies room. When I walked out there was the piercing noise coming from that area. As I walked towards my husband, this so-called rude manager was running towards me asking me in loud rude condescending manner if "I opened the emergency door?" I simply said "why would I open the door, I was in the bathroom and why are you yelling at me?" The associate assisting my husband told her that it was someone else that opened the door. She said she wasn't yelling cause that's how she talks!! WHAT?? You have got to be kidding me. A few minutes later I walked over to her and simply shared that I have PTSD and that her yelling and yes she was yelling bothered me as well as embarrassed me. She didn't seem the least bit concerned. I feel bad for all the employees under this rude and condescending person! I hope she attends anger management classes. She seems so angry!!!! Esther is super sweet! I came in to get my COVID vaccine card copied and laminated. She quoted me 10 minutes. It took longer than that. But at the time, she was the only one helping 3 other customers. So of course I knew she was busy, it really wasn't a big deal! Also, it's free! Another location in Newport said 3 hrs. Very rude and dismissive employee (Danica) at the printing counter (Queen Creek location). I tried to ask a simple question (can the business center print invitations in a qty less than 25, which is the minimum it was letting me order online?). Pretty straight forward question - yes or no. She never answered my question. She just kept telling me she could give me cardstock and I could do it myself but the quality wouldn't be good. She was rude and snippy and was texting on her phone (maybe she was annoyed that I was interrupting her texting?). She was so over the top rude, my daughter asked another employee for her name and then we left, went to the UPS store and gave them our business. Wont be going back to Staples. read more

This review is for the Copy & Print Center: I was in a rush on Monday afternoon and needed to quickly print my resume before heading into a job interview. Staples was closer to me than my usual copy / print stop (FedEx / Kinko's) so I thought I'd give it a try. BIG MISTAKE. I walked in, frantically looking for the self-serve station at the Copy & Print Center. I found it and to my surprise, I wouldn't be able to use it without loading my money onto a gift card first. I asked the attendant how I could best print something from Google Drive in a short amount of time. He asked me to pull up the document on my phone, said he would help me, but then proceeded to point to a sign with instructions as to where to send your Google Drive documents. He then went back to what he was doing (there were no other customers, mind you). I scanned the sign and saw that certain portions of the process would take 2-5 minutes, precious time that I did not have. I asked the attendant if the process could be sped up and explained that I was on a time crunch, and he basically told me that this wasn't the place to go if I needed something quickly. So after all that, I sped over to FedEx / Kinko's, printed what I needed in 2 minutes and ended up 5 minutes late to my interview. Thanks for nothing, Staples! read more

Just posted this review after I got maltreated by the rude employees there. I went there to purchase a office chair and needed someone to get it for me as it was in the back inventory. However I had been waiting for over 30 min and no one came to help even after I asked someone to help me. I was planning to leave but my girlfriend went to the counter to inquiry then the guy was like: I am helping other customers and I don't fucking care. You can definitely ask someone else to help. Absolutely bs and no wonder those traditional shops are dying out and squeezed by Amazon.Don't complain if you lose your job tomorrow as you got what you deserve. I rarely get up to Brea, but I needed to stop in to recycle some toner cartridges. For a Saturday it was quiet, but as soon as I walked in I was pleasantly greeted by a young lady named Sunday! Asking me if she could be of any assistance I told her the reason for my visit and she quickly to care of my transaction on had me on my way. Owner of a business, I know and appreciate good customer service and as soon as I entered the store I felt welcomed. It was refreshing to stop in at a store, be engaged by a nicely groomed person instead of finding employees standing around talking to each other. The store appeared very clean and well stocked. I recently ordered a quick print of some business cards I needed for a conference. The print shop printed them quickly and the employees were very kind. I was in a rush when I picked them up and noticed later that the photo on the front was darker than I would ideally like. When the email survey came to rate their service, I happened to mention this, not expecting anything more to come of it. The manager, Vincent, contacted me and offered a reprint. Not only did he do a complete reprint, he had a couple of versions waiting for me to pick up. Once again, the employees were friendly and generous. And after a few minutes wait, he told me the cash register was closed and I needed to go to the main checkout lanes. THAT WAS EASY And since all but one register was closed, and there were several people already queued up, biding their time as the lone cashier was on the PA trying to get manager assistance, I declined not to wait and just put my $20.00 bill in the machine. THAT WAS EASY I made my copies, but for some reason the stapler function of the copy machine was not enabled. THAT WAS EASY So I went back to the copy desk and asked to borrow the large stapler. THAT WAS EASY And he gave me a stapler and walked away. Not only did the stapler not have any staples, it didn't have the cartridge that holds the staples. THAT WAS EASY So I waited for a different employee to make her way over to me and give me the stapler that actually worked. THAT WAS EASY And I asked her if she could refund the 15.00 dollars left on my card. She told me she didn't have access to a cash register. So I walked off to the main checkout line. THAT WAS EASY And when I got to the front of the line the cashier had no way of determining the balance on my card, THAT WAS EASY So she left me at the cash register and walked over to the machine that issued the card and got the balance. It was about $15.00 THAT WAS EASY And then she told me the card balance was non-refundable. what I should have done was to find the open register, get change, and then go buy the card. Never felt more uncomfortable at a staples in my life! And I've been to the Hollywood locations. The employees are very uninviting and stare at you to leave. Came to use the printing option since I gave away my printer to my college aged sister and they just stared me down until I left. Great service in the printer aisle. A friendly and knowledgeable rep was very willing to help me find the right product for my needs and compare products at my request, and I ultimately chose the Canon Pixma MX922 All-in-one printer which is one of the most popular printers on Amazon.com. But, when I asked both him and the guy at checkout if I need to buy ink separately, they both said yes because the printer only comes with a starter cartridge good only for 30 pages or so. I'm glad I didn't listen to either of them and fork over another $70 for ink because when I got home and opened the box i found a full set of black and color ink cartridges included with the printer. You'd think they'd be more knowledgeable of their products, esp. the popular ones. So either they're not knowledgeable or they're knowledgeable but dishonest. read more

Not too long ago I bought a $30 inkjet at Walmart that wasn't too shabby, but everything today is way more. Then I realized that Staples has a copy center. I called them and was advised that black and white prints are only 15 cents. That exactly the same amount that the library charges. So off I went with my flash drive in hand. It was easy and fast. The employees were cheerful and helpful. And this is a large, clean and fully-stocked Staples. The only complaint I have is that all their home printers are overpriced, LOL. read more
