Had an excellent experience getting our TSA Pre-check transaction done with Brandon at the Staples in Brea, CA. TSA pre-check is good for 5 years! Just for this month (May 2026) they are running a promotion - $20 off for qualifying applicants under 30 years old. Brandon was knowledgeable, patient, thorough and quick. He walked us step by step through the process and explained other features/options offered for our travel portfolios i.e. Clear. We applied online a few evenings before, scheduled an in-store appt and Brandon closed up the transaction in less than 10 minutes!! I have been to this staples several times, and honestly not sure how it remains open. The store has little to no customers, and very few employees. In the past I've had decent customer service at check out. Today I went in to use the self service fax. I had a fairly large packet I needed to fax to a doctors office. I know faxes are very outdated, however this machine quoted me over $140. I was expecting $10-15 max, but with the outrageous price it quoted me, I canceled the order and left. I think staples really needs to rethink their pricing on this. I was faxing to a local number, not even out of state. I will likely not return here unless absolutely necessary. read more

I come here periodically for office supplies and always have a good experience. Earlier this year I had some invitations made at the print shop and they came out absolutely beautiful. I have been waiting for an office printer to go on sale and this past weekend it finally happened. I rushed over to the Brea store near me which had one left and I wanted to grab it ASAP so I wouldn't have to go to La Habra. I wasn't even going to write a review but the woman at checkout was so nice and helpful. I wish I got her name. She asked if I had the Staples app installed because they had some active tech coupons which might save me some money. She also told me that they recycle all kinds of electronics there (like my old printer) and give Staples points in return. I used to take my old electronics to Republic waste for proper disposal but I will bring them here from now on. read more

This store is a convenient place for amazon returns but unfortunately the line can be very long due to the cashier having to process returns and purchases. The regional manager is on site but he is to busy chatting with staff in the new party city corner to help his staff. This manager needs a lesson on supporting his team and paying attention to his customer needs. The cashiers deserve a raise and that manager should be fired. read more

Went in for TSA PreCheck. Wish I had checked Yelp first, would have found out that the TSA office was all the way in the back. As it is, we waited about 5 minutes at the front counter for someone to help us, then finally asked someone at the register. Once we got to TSA, Brandon was super helpful and knowledgeable. No wait at all (we had scheduled appointments online) and my two kids were done with the whole process in about 10-15 minutes for both. Easy process and they both got $10 coupons to spend at Staples. We splurged and ended up spending $70 total, so that's $20 off (smart move Staples, we would have been in and out without the coupons). read more

I specifically came here for a TSA PreCheck appointment. They also offer Passport services here now too! They have a small booth in the very back middle of the building. It was very empty and quiet when I came here after work. It is nice that they have appointments after 5pm for those of us who work regular shifts. The whole process was super quick! I was in and out within like 10-15mins! All they do is have you scan your passport, scan your fingertips, take a photo, pay and sign! I was instantly approved the next day! This review is for the printing. No access to an immediate printer at the moment so my go-to is the nearest Staples. Easily came into the store. I was greeted upon entry and on departure. It looks like there's 2 available printers here. Inserted my card for payment before printing. You can print by email or USB. I brought my USB. Made my selections for color and amount of copies. Printed both pages. Checked out in 10 minutes. Total came out to about 40ish cents. I recommend Staples if you don't have access to any other printer! read more

This place was dead on a Saturday at 1 pm. I had an appointment to get TSA Precheck done and I got there early when the TSA guy was on lunch. He was very nice when he got back and the whole process was quick. I'd recommend this location for the lack of people in line. The store employees themselves though weren't the nicest. I walked in, went to TSA in the back, he wasn't there so I waited in line and watched as 2 Staples employees walked by me without asking if I i needed help or had a question (like I said, NO ONE was in there, they definitely could have answered the question I had, but instead I i waited 10 mins for the only cashier to tell me the TSA guy was "in the back... oh well I guess you have to wait then." Came here for TSA precheck enrollment. Location itself is convenient within the Staples and ample parking right outside. Head all the way to the back of the Staples and there's a small booth with clear TSA precheck signage. Poor girl working the enrollment center/booth didn't get a lunch break so the original appointments were delayed so she could get a lunch. This resulted in a longer wait than my appointment time and there was a crowd of people waiting around too. There weren't enough chairs for the growing number of people waiting around to give you a sense of the disorganized scheduling. I waited over 30-40mins from my original appointment time. It's not the girl's fault for taking a lunch break but TSA precheck should really get it together in terms of not scheduling people over lunch. Given all this, you're better off making an appointment online and try getting earlier time slots. Don't bother with walk-in unless you have the patience or time to waste. But the enrollment process itself only takes about 10-15mins. Bring plenty of entertainment for the long wait. read more

This review is for the TSA precheck. It's straight in the back. In a little cubicle... Looks a little random compared to the rest of the store. I made an appointment for mid morning on Weds, no wait walked in immediately. The gentleman who helped me was very helpful and explained each step of the way. I wish I got his name, he was great! Very easy process, took ~10 mins. If you filled the form online you just double check your info. You also get your picture taken, get your fingerprints taken and pay the 78 dollars. Staples has great selection of office supplies but did you know they take photos for passports and process TSA pre check too! I only needed photos for my passport application and was pleased that they offered this service until closing hours (no cut off time or short hours if you have a longish work commute like I do). (Pre-COVID-19 review) This Staples location is one of the only 2 Staples locations that are near me as the other 2 near my home have closed. It is located in the next to Tilly's and Nordstrom Rack, nearby The Home Depot as well. This store is on the smaller side, so less variety of products that I am used to. Regardless, it is still more convenient to grab school and office supplies here if you need it right away, instead of waiting for delivery. There are plenty of parking spots because of the same shared lot as the other stores, as it is on the end of that strip mall. read more
