Very disappointing experience. I came into this Staples with my two children looking for Needohs. An employee with black hair and orange ends told us that the only Needohs available were the Nice Cubes. We stayed in the parking lot for about five minutes and then saw a man leave the store with a Needoh advent calendar. When we went back inside, the employee was no longer at the register, but she saw us and came out from behind another counter. She pointed toward an area and mouthed "Needohs" to the employee at the register, then went back behind her regular counter. Based on what we observed, it appeared that Needoh products were being held aside rather than being made available to customers. Whether they were being held for other customers or for another reason, the interaction left us feeling that we had not been given an honest answer. What made this especially disappointing was that I was there shopping with my children, not trying to buy inventory for resale. Seeing other customers leave with the products immediately after being told they weren't available was frustrating and upsetting for my kids. I understand that inventory can be limited and that stores may have policies about high-demand products, but customers should be given accurate information and treated consistently. The self service printer wasn't recognizing my USB drive, so he quickly stepped in to help and got my documents printed for me with no hassle. Bought a lazy boy chair on clearance. I asked about the chair that was already assembled and the man said don't you want one in the box? My first mistake. Brought it home and my husband started putting it together and I saw that the back was broken. Called the store and was told they had sold the one that was assembled. Meantime there was one in the Brea store. I asked if I could have that one shipped to the La Habra store and the manager said there were no more in the warehouse and they didn't deal with other stores. Visited this Staples to print off 800 sheets from a USB and was immediately helped by Brandon. He was super helpful and made the process feel so easy. I am not the most technically savvy person but that didn't matter. When the machine needed attention due to the quantity of prints, Brandon was quick to help. I then proceeded to send 800 more prints through email and this time Manny helped me since Brandon was busy helping another customer. Again the process was easy due to Manny's eagerness to help me out. I really appreciate these 2 young men. It's hard to find people so happy to help these days and you can tell that they enjoy what they do. I would recommend using this Staples simply based on the level of customer service. read more

It was almost $2, but I guess the thick cardstock-like paper made up for it. You do get some coupons when you print out a receipt, but they're also available online without a purchase. Joselyn is the best. She literally walked me through getting my design the right size and format so that the quality Can be good. I've never really designed in my life but she went as far as suggesting an app and helping me kindly. You don't see this customer service anymore. She went above and beyond. Not the extra mile but the extra 10 miles. I went 3 days In a Row until I finally got it the right size and format. She always had a smile and was happy to help me out. I printed about 200 tickets for an event and she got me to format them in sheets and they didn't charge extra crazy for the cut. I definitely got my moneys worth. The value she brings to the table was not worth the $40 bucks I paid. She bring so much more value to the table and saved me about $500 by her advice (knowledge in her field). But her customer service gets 10 stars. Go see her for any printing needs. read more

Came to Staples today last minute, trying to print out a huge poster because the one I purchased elsewhere was smaller than expected. Unfortunately I was unable to catch the employee's name, but the lady who was working the printing station was very professional and helped me within a span of 10 minutes. Luckily I was told I can choose a larger size than the template on the wall as long as the width is within their printer size. The price was a bit high due the type of paper and same day pick up, but I needed it by tonight so didn't bother me too much. I had told her the image was a rectangle, but the system showed it as a perfect square which we settled on a 38x38 rather than a 42x38 which was a lot cheaper since it was smaller. Came to pick up my poster within an hour, and actually was told that in fact it is a rectangle and they had printed it 42x38, but wouldn't charge me the extra fee. Definitely a lifesaver getting my poster ready within an hour plus giving me a larger poster without charging me an extra fee. Thank you! read more

Walked in to with my dog to get some items printed. Then I believe a store manager /employee (old Asian lady) said I couldn't have my dog if they weren't service animals. My dog is not. She said I needed to leave. I asked if I could print my things and leave, she said no. She said my dog -7 pound yorkie, which had not barked, been calm, & on a leash- could bite someone and they'd be responsible. I get it, but, I looked online to see if staples had a dog policy & Although staples is a dog friendly store, it's basically up to the manager's discretion. read more

Mike was excellent with his customer service. I was waiting in the printing and computer line. All employees at the counter were helping other customers Mike came up to ask if I needed any assistance. I had a fax or email that needed to be sent. Mike suggested email would be more efficient and cost-effective. He was very patient with me as I was emailing court documents to my attorney. Mike was pleasant and informative as well as helpful. Came here last Sunday morning to get some certificates printed. I came here when they opened so it was great it wasn't very crowded, except everyone came to use the print center. Abigail was very patient and helped make sure my certificates came out perfectly, I tried at another Staples location, but they came out wrong and I had to waste more money on it. Guess 5 minutes to closing means closed; shutter down! Tried to get in to pick up my order and two employees were at the front door guarding the door from anyone entering. As I walked up to the door I was totally ignored, nonexistent, no acknowledgement what-so-ever. I was standing literally at the door with a WTH look and those two employee of the year candidates in the background of the picture attached were just chatttttting away. tldr: IF YOU'RE MAKING A PURCHASE OVER $100 GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THEY'LL KNOWINGLY SELL YOU BROKEN PRODUCTS. I rarely, if ever have given a one star to a business because I'm pretty lax about service. But this particular Staples and their manager suck. I tried to buy a chair yesterday and it was a horrible experience throughout. I only found at last minute and thank god I did. I was in a hurry to buy a gaming/ergonomic chair so I wasn't too picky. They ran out of the one I wanted, but one male store employee mentioned that I could take and buy the one on display. I took it up to the counter, but my friend mentioned that the headrest was MISSING so they gave us a discount. The manager was called up to allow the discount. She suggested getting insurance for the chair and I was like, "why not? Sure." $15. It was until after I paid that my friend suddenly noticed and mentioned that a compartment part at back of the chair was falling apart. The chair was broken. Both the manager AND employee KNEW this and tried to sell it to me on top of the insurance. They had the conversation in front of me; about how former customers returned the very chair I tried to buy. I then asked if I could just file a claim later for the chair. The manager said I couldn't because I bought it as is. Like...??? Lady, are you trying to scam me and fail? I asked for a refund and I did get it back. The wrong amount. I needed a new chair for my office because my current one was getting old and a little janky so my manager and I decided to come on a weekday afternoon to order some new chairs. My company has an account with Staples and this was the nearest location to us. We wanted to sit on, spin, recline on, and feel our chairs before purchasing because the past several times we purchased chairs online at staples.com, we ended up ordering chairs that were meh... Hence, we took a trip to this Staples store to see them in person this time around. The store was very clean and there were a few dozen chairs for us to try which was plenty. We spent about an hour or so trying out each chair before making our decisions. The man who assisted us in ordering the chairs was very professional, friendly, and knowledgable about the ordering process. He even walked us to my car and helped with the loading! Always count your change! I just made a large purchase. When I paid in cash, the cashier checked the bills with a pen, then called the manager over for a confirmation. No problem there..., although I didn't appreciate the manager's jocularity AT ALL! Next, the cashier keyed in the amount tendered, then got completely confused. After fumbling with a calculator several times, I asked what was wrong. She said she entered the wrong amount. My reply, no problem, do it in your head. That resulted in a dirty look from the cashier. More fumbling with the calculator. The amount due and the amount tendered were nice round numbers. My six-year-old grandson could do the math in his head. In the end, I got the correct amount in change, but I have zero doubt that had she not realized she keyed in the wrong amount, I'd have been given the wrong change.... read more
