I used to update my Apple devices yearly, faster speeds, better battery life. As of lately I've slowed down, true innovation has stifled. The devices I have now look the same as the new device, except maybe the chip changed. It doesn't make sense to spend money for basically the same device. So we're at the M4 iPad Pro, and they removed a telescopic lens and introduced a new cpu chip.....meh. My M1 iPad Pro is still chugging along with great speed and a telescopic lens. So I decided to upgrade the battery and get back my battery life to 100%. For the past two years I've been stuck at 85% with heavy usage, I have AppleCare but they will only replace it at below 80%. This irked me because I begged them to change it, my battery wasn't holding a decent charge anymore, I was getting maybe 5 hours of use compared to the 9 I used to get. Went to Yelp to see who could help me, got a ton of replies with pricing comparable to AppleCare. But also the reviews on some of these places weren't good. Saw the reviews on One Stop Cellular and I trusted my instincts, firstly they answered my questions with the outmost professionalism. One question was "is the battery comparable to OEM?" And they were super honest with me, "They're close but third-party but you get a 90 day warranty". That right there solidified my choice, you get a 3 month warranty if any issues should arise. That's something unheard of nowadays. So I took my baby in for surgery and not even 45 minutes it was ready, and along the way I was texted pictures of the device and the new battery. Took my phone here on a Monday to get my screen fixed . Friday comes along my screen is cracked again somehow now my whole screen won't work from a little corner chip . I take my phone back to get repaired one day later screen is cracked again and now it's hard to hear phone calls which was never a problem . They use cheap screens on phones that crack easily. Even let me know how to check if there's insurance on the phone. Overall a really fair price, $175. I've seen people charge more but also less for longer/bad repairs. It only took about 25 minutes, but I left for an hour and came back. They even put on a free tempered protector for me, which I super appreciate. They take credit cards but with an extra 3%. I had some previous great experience with this shop, having taken my old iPhone 12 to get looked at when the charging port seemed to have some issues. We needed a battery replacement for a used phone I picked up, and I knew IMMEDIATELY where to go. I did price it out to see what it would cost to put a new battery in an iPhone SE 2020, and this price came in the cheapest of those contacted for a bid. Jeff confirmed he had the battery in stock with the bid, and with the previous experience, I was only too happy to come use him. Sure enough, I got to the store early. He confirmed the rate he had given me in messages here, reconfirmed that he had a battery on hand and went to work. The phone was back in my hands in 15 minutes. I also received the old battery back to ensure that there had been a swap made. The phone replacement came with a warranty as well, so if there was any issue, I could take it back and get it fixed. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I may have another repair done to my daughter's iPhone 12 Pro (the back glass is completely shattered) and I can't imagine even considering taking it anywhere else. Went for a new iPhone 16 screen. They said I needed a new battery as well. After they "fixed" both, the screen isn't sealed the whole way and the battery only lasts 12 hours. Apparently, the inside frame was bent but they never told me that until after they "fixed" it and spent $300. Very disappointing experience. Will NEVER return. They were able to fix an old iPhone with water damage and restore all my old voicemails, pictures, and videos. I didn't go there for that. I had gone there because I got a new phone but needed to free up space since some of my stuff was on the cloud. Anyhow, I was going to donate my phone to them or see if they could use it for parts and the owner offered to fix it for me. I said well it has water damage and is completely dead. I went back a couple days later and he restored everything, I was amazed. All he asked me to pay was for the battery. However, I had to give him more. Was told the last time would be ok if trading in phone for a new iPhone, but that was a lie. I traded in my iPhone 13 Pro Max to Apple for the iPhone 16 Pro Max and they denied my trade in.
