Yum yum yum! Square Lotus was highly recommended by a local. It did not dissapoint. I visited with a large group and the staff was very attentive and kind. They have a large menu with lots of options, and lots of items I was not familiar with. Our table ordered the spring rolls with pork. They were delicious! I went with their Classsic Vermicilli bowl which comes with pork, shrimp, a tiny egg rolls, noodles and cucumbers. It was delicious the pork was very tasty and the shrimp were seasoned perfectly. The restaurant is large and definitely a spot for families both small and big. I only noticed a few to go orders. Great spot for Vietnamese food if you happen to find yourself in Bellevue.
This place in Factoria has some big portions for prices that scale pretty well, and I'm surprised it's been here for a long while yet I've only tried it now. This was on a Friday night at almost 6pm and my friend and I came in to a nearly empty interior that filled up throughout our stay. Is it just dinnertime that time or were my friend and I bringing in the crowds? You'll enjoy a very clean and well-kept restaurant with clean tables and chairs, with lighting that's very little but lights up the whole place well. Menu has a lot of offerings (both regular and vegetarian) but since it's dinnertime I decided on a rice dish as usual. I got their beef short ribs rice dish, which has their usual marinated short ribs with a fried egg and veggies. I actually liked how they offered their rice in a separate bowl, and everything else on one plate... which means the meat almost covered my whole plate! By the way, my friend got their grilled pork chop rice dish, and the meat also almost completely covered his plate. Both our meats were marinated so well and held in so much flavor, and came off their bones easily. We both agreed the grilled beef short rib dish I ordered was the winner because of the bolder and more defined marinated taste of the meat. I've tried so many Vietnamese restaurants and almost exclusively get their beef short ribs rice on the first visits of them, but this is the first time I've seen meat portions this huge for a rice dish. I'm thinking of coming back here for another visit even if I have to deal with the tight parking plaza this place is close to.
We were looking for a Vietnamese restaurant to try, and this one popped up on Yelp. Since we're not vegetarian, we appreciated that they offer both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. We ordered the pho bò kho, house special noodle bowl, vegetarian fried roll, and summer roll. Everything was delicious, and the service was very good. Both appetizers were fresh and well made. The only thing we noticed was that the lemongrass pork in the house special noodle bowl wasn't as flavorful as similar dishes we've had at other Vietnamese restaurants on the east side. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will likely be back to try more items from their extensive menu.
The food at Square Lotus always hits the spot - whether you're in the mood for pho, summer rolls, or stir fried noodles - but I want to upgrade my review to 5 stars for their exceptional service. The employees here are super helpful and really know how to provide great service. I recently came in a big group and they pulled together some tables and chairs for us and were very patient with our multiple rounds of orders. They even looked out for a latecomer to join our party to put in his order of pho at the right timing. I also appreciated them pointing out the automatic group charge that was in our receipt. Thank you for providing a great time for us and can't wait for my next meal here!
Came here for dinner with the girlies. Service is amazing, food is amazing, the restaurant is spacious. We came a little early and they were able to accommodate. I had the short ribs which were really good and some vermicelli that was shared. My friends said the pho was delicious. Over all had a great experience!
I came for dinner on a saturday and there was no wait for a party of 4. I came after skiing and the pho was very comforting. The service was pretty fast and the interior wasn't overly decorated, but it felt clean and there were a lot of seats. I wouldn't say this is my favorite pho, but there was nothing wrong with it -- the broth was savory and umami, meat was a little tough, and the noodles were slightly soggy.
Stopped in for a quick bite on a Friday afternoon. Left very happy. Was pretty busy - the staff looked harried but they were very efficient. I got the seafood egg noodles and the better half was in the vermicelli mood so she ordered the House Special vermicelli. Both were savory delicious. I loved the scallops so I would have been happier to have a few more in the serving. The location is convenient to us and has great parking as well so I'm sure we'll be back for more.
The servers were polite. The prices are on the higher end compared to similar places. $11.50 for most of the appetizers (rest are $17) is too high imo as I'm eating by myself. I wanted to get spring rolls but for almost $12? Pass. The atmosphere was nice, good location. They bring you a credit card machine and hold it while you decide how much to tip which imo... is impolite and coercive. I ordered yellow curry. It was quite good, but I still don't understand why it comes with potatoes when you get rice with it. Double carbs , I should have switched potatoes with another veggie. I would come back with a friend, but eating solo I'd pass. They don't have salt and pepper on the table, you have to ask for it.
Great Vietnamese restaurant with robust vegan options. Almost always busy but almost always able to get seated quickly. Good for groups of all sizes. I'm a fan of all their vegan food options. Curry pho vermicelli vegan meats papaya salad. About ~ $18 a dish Last but not least great customer service!
People wanted Vietnamese food so I tagged along. Walking in there's plenty of seating & light music playing. People talking kinda loud but not too bad. I ended up ordering the Pork Chop Plate & Chicken Fried Rice. Pork Chops were good & Chicken Fried Rice was decent. People I was with loved their food. If you're in the area swing by.

- delicious square lotus curry - Another visit here! I've finally decided to try their square lotus curry with chicken ($17), and it was delicious. There were red pepper, green pepper, basil, eggplant, peas, carrots, and your choice of meat in the curry. I especially love the eggplants in the curry, and I thought they tasted even better than the chicken. It even made me order an eggplant dish from another restaurant the next day lol. I finished the whole bowl of curry for the first time without needing to take any leftovers home, and I love that they don't charge extra for brown rice. To
Service was both swift and wonderful for lunch today. And the food was amazing. Started strong with the Tropical Roll, the inclusion of the Mango within each roll was very unique (and tasty). Following up was the Sweet and Spicy Chicken (3-Star on the spice), very good, very filling and had a nice kick to it. And finishing off with the Vietnamese Soup. A nice warm touch to a cold day. Ambience started off calm, but as it was lunch time, it did fill up relatively fast. But even with a lot of people, it wasn't overly noisy or loud, which was nice and a little surprising for a Sunday Afternoon. Overall, had a wonderful experience. Hope to be back in the future!
Square Lotus has resided in Factoria for as long as I can remember, offering Vietnamese and vegetarian fare. Their menu actually has two full pages of vegetarian options, so there's plenty for everyone to select from. Five of us came here for an early dinner one Saturday around 4:45P. In addition to pho and vermicelli bowls, they have a few other noodle dishes and a variety of entrées served with rice. All the menu items are intended to be a single serving. That said, the portion sizes are pretty substantial for an individual, but on the smaller end if you're sharing between multiple people. Nevertheless, we still decided to eat family-style! + LEMONGRASS CHICKEN ($17): White meat chicken, bell peppers, onion and broccoli were coated in a fragrant lemongrass sauce that was savory with some notes of ginger. Although a flavorful dish, the chicken was on the dry side. + SIZZLING HOT POT ($19): A clay pot filled with Japanese eggplant, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and fried tofu in a thin gravy. I loved the eggplant and wish the pot contained more of it. As someone who eats meat regularly, I found this to be a tasty dish for being completely vegetarian. + SQUARE LOTUS CURRY ($17): A green curry with bell peppers, eggplant, peas, carrots and basil with our protein choice of chicken. Sadly, the flavor of the curry was weak and I tasted mostly coconut milk. This said, it also didn't have any heat whatsoever. + SEAFOOD SOFT EGG NOODLES ($19): A noodle stir-fry with shrimp, scallops, squid, carrots, broccoli, snow peas, cabbage, celery, white onion and bean sprouts. The noodles were cooked perfectly and lightly flavored with oyster sauce. I enjoyed the variety of vegetables and how they retained some crunch. This didn't contain much seafood though; it was all gone by the time I got my serving. + VIETNAMESE RICE NOODLES ($17): Rice noodles stir-fried with eggs, broccoli, celery, carrots, snow peas, cabbage and bean sprouts, garnished with crushed peanuts. I loved this dish! The sauce was balanced between salty and savory... these noodles were addicting. We ordered it with beef which was sliced thin and tender. Service was good as the waitstaff is very attentive. However, it seems that all the servers tend to all tables. They share in the responsibilities of taking orders, serving, refilling water, etc. This said, we were asked three different times if we were ready to order and I had to ask three different servers for a box for our leftovers. Perhaps they could benefit from each taking a section of the restaurant.

This place has vegetarian and non vegetarian options! I got the Stir Fried Vietnamese Rice Noodles with chicken and the portion size for the price is so worth. I'm so used to seeing higher prices that I was pleasantly surprised. We came in at around noon on a Saturday and the place was busy but we still got in without a wait. My only complaint is that they asked for a spice level 1-5 and I got 3, but couldn't taste any spice at all. They do however have Sriracha upon request. read more
This is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in factoria. I came here with a friend and we got dinner on a Friday evening. Parking was easy and there was no wait. I got the Pho Tai and it was exactly what I needed on a typical rainy day in Washington. My friend got the Bun Bo Hue and liked her dish as well. They have a large variety of different types of Vietnamese dishes. They also have an extensive vegetarian menu too. If you order hot tea, they will charge you $2 for it. read more

This place is probably one of the nicest and also have a big seating area for a Vietnamese restaurant in Factoria. I love their pho here, the broth is flavorful, not overly salty. Also for any "germaphobes" out there, they will give you separate plates for your own garnishes. Notice the cute little restaurant logo and name printed. Their spring rolls had a nice crunch, coming from the egg roll flakes, but I wasn't impressed with their peanut sauce. I couldn't really taste the savory peanut taste and it was just some somewhat sweet sauce with a teaspoon of peanut butter mixed into it. Despite the slightly disappointing spring rolls, I still would like to try some of their other dishes like a vermicelli dish because I have faith in them based on how they make their pho. read more
I've very recently decided to increase plants decrease meat, seafood, sugar and carbs in my diet. This is a great place to start as it has almost as large of a vegetarians menu as it does standard cuisine. Both choices are great. Asparagus soup, sliced port and veggie mango chicken dishes are all great. They also give the option of brown nice. That being said, they have a great bo bun hue as well. Finally tried this restaurant after driving by it for years. We came for a later dinner and the restaurant was still busy around 8pm. Staff is really friendly and we received our food really quickly. The have a regular menu and vegetarian menu with lots of options. We ordered the Pho Dac Biet and Vegetarian Vietnamese crepe. The size of the pho is equivalent to a large at other restaurants. The broth was tasty and not too salty. The vegetarian crepe had tofu and beansprouts as the filling and was not too oily. You receive two in one order and lettuce on the side to wrap it with. We both enjoyed the food. The restaurant is clean and can accommodate larger parties. Glad to add this to our list of Vietnamese options. read more
I have only had the fresh rolls here which I have been searching for because I now work in Bellevue, this has been the best so far... Firstly, the phone number linked through Yelp does not connect, nor does the google map number. Weird, not sure why but has happened both times. Otherwise- they taste good, but pretty basic. Huge portion, four pieces per order for under $10. 1star. The peanut sauce is thin and watery, not my favorite. The rolls only contain lettuce, rice noodles, shrimp and a bit of basil. No! In addition it has fried crispy egg roll wrapper bits which I do not like at all and is not included on the menu description. It's simple, fine, I guess. Fresh for sure. 1star. But I miss you mint and cucumber and not boring rolls. I want thick creamy peanutty sauce with loaded rolls. This is not it. It's quick takeout and they are really nice. 1star. Have only have here once so far. The plate I got was the house special noodle bowl, which tasted similar to the one my mom makes at home. I would definitely come again to try their other plates. read more
Good pho! Went in on a rainy evening and sipping on the pho broth hit the spot. The restaurant was easy to find with ample parking. For some reason, I felt like it took much longer than normal for the pho to be served. I think we waited around 15-20 minutes after we ordered. The portions are huge. With slightly thinner noodles, my dish would not shrink even though I felt I was constantly eating : generous amount of noodles!!! Pho was served with bean sprouts, basil, lime, and jalapenos. Came here for 2 vegetarian dishes. The yellow curry with veggie beef and the eggplant mushroom stir fry with veggie chicken. Frankly I could not tell the difference between veggie chicken or veggie beef but all is good. The flavors were good and it does the trick of hitting the spot after a long day. My tip would be to come here before 8.30 pm as the kitchen closes at around 9.00pm and you will have to leave promptly at 9.45pm. Eat and run. read more

Such good value! We visited Square Lotus for the first time tonight and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and friendly staff there. I had the duck noodle soup, which came with an entire side dish of sliced duck, and their short ribs with rice were also super tasty and came with a good amount of meat. I especially enjoyed their Vietnamese coffee, which packed a punch and was most definitely not watered down with condensed milk. Thumbs up! read more

We ordered summer shrimp roll for appetizer. There is only lettuce and many noodles with shrimp but I prefer more vegetables instead of noodles inside of spring roll. So I didn't enjoyed it. It is not for me and moreover Peanut sauce is not tasty. House special fried rice was not enough sauce so it tasted just oily rice. vientamese rice noodle with prawns was good and sweet n spicy chicken was good. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this place! This is my first time trying Vietnamese cuisine in the greater Seattle area and I have to say I was impressed by the price + portions for the lunch specials! The place has a variety of food to choose from (great for vegetarians too as they have a whole menu dedicated to veggie). I ordered the beef short rib and for $9 it was totally worth it for the price as I left the place feeling stuffed. The marinated rib came out cooked hot and it was really really delicious. Along with the Keep in mind, parking isn't the easiest here (although there are lots of spots, it gets pretty crowded during lunch) so I would avoid rush hours! read more

Most of my family is vegetarian and they they have an extensive vegetarian menu. We started off with some fried spring rolls which were actually pretty good. We then ordered a yellow curry with tofu, General Chicken, lemongrass tofu, and a plated of fried rice. All our dishes had very little salt and the chicken was either very stale or simply overcooked because it was sort of hard to chew and quite dry. Since this is a Vietnamese place, I imagine pho is their best dish but our food was quite meh. read more

So I got a to go order and I first opened the box and only 2/3 of it was full. Me mentioning I got a to go order is saying I wish I would have opened the box before leaving because this is ridiculous to have to pay $12.50+tax for a 2/3 full box. I'm so hungry tho and am already home that I'm going to eat it. But i think it's fucked up. read more

I am very happy that Allie S. introduced me to Square Lotus a few months ago. Why? Because I like their food and fake meat, and my boyfriend likes spending only about $20 for a filling vegan/gluten-free meal for two. I usually order their sweet & sour "chicken" and he usually gets something different, and occasionally the employee even lets us order "whatever the chef wants to make, as long as it's gluten-free and vegan." I love places that let me order that way. I haven't been there recently because I don't usually spend much time in Bellevue/Factoria, but it's a good and simple spot, and I like going there whenever I happen to be hungry and in the neighborhood. read more

I only ordered the mango salad. It was a disappoint. For almost $10, the should have gave whole shrimp not half. The taste-wise, it was bland not Much flavors. read more
Good spot for a quick bowl of pho! I enjoyed the meatball and rare beef pho. Simple and filling. Service is fast and efficient. I like that they have a parking lot, but I was a bit turned off by a fly who was buzzing around. read more

Unsure why I have never been here before as I work right behind it. I ordered a late lunch to go, Spicy and Sweet Chicken and Brown Rice with some Tropical Rolls. EVERYTHING was delicious and light ! I ordered the chicken four stars and it was perfectly spicy, all fresh nothing overcooked. The vegetables were extremely crunchy, and I don't even like Broccoli that much but ate every last piece as it was so perfectly cooked. The Tropical Rolls were delicious and light as well. Filled with Mango, Chicken and Rice Noodles wrapped in lettuce. The Peanut sauce was yummy as well and I liked how the rolls were wrapped two together as they stored nicely in the fridge for later. Lately I haven't had any real five star ratings that I enjoyed the food that much to give five stars but Square Lotus deserves this five star rating, I will be back to try more items off their large menu. read more
I've been meaning to find a Bun Bo Hue place since I moved to Washington and here it is!! This place is amazing. Coming from a Vietnamese background, I grew up eating the very home-y spicy soup. This place hit the spot. The soup was full of flavor, they had Ja (pork sausage) and pork balls in the soup. It reminds me of the best places in LA. The only thing that was missing was a big bone in the soup. My girlfriend has Pho and I tried the soup. Also very good! I am excited to come back and try the Bahn Xeo, surprised they have it!
