Pros and Cons below. PROS: Started new service and it was nice that Spectrum was able to schedule a technician for within 2 business days to start my home internet service. Internet works fine. CONS: 1) (Safety hazard) very disappointed that the technician pulled out and littered about 2 dozen rusty staples along the walkways outside my house (pic of a bunch of the staples attached). I noticed because one lodged into my slipper and poked my foot. Luckily no others and no kids were injured by any rusty staples. Have to leave this review because of the safety negligence. 2) My home also has existing cable throughout every room in the house which i woud like removed, but after mentioning this to the tech, i ended up telling him i'd do it myself. I guess its a gray area, the sales person at the beginning told me it was no prob, but the request wasnt met with a happy face by the actual tech lol. Somewhat dissapointed about this aspect of the visit. But, i would have ended up with tons more rusty staples, so i'm taking it as a blessing lol. read more

So, we switched from another provider over to spectrum because our monthly bill more than doubled. Positives: they were quick to send someone out to setup, tech support on the phone was really nice, in store support has been really nice, two of the three technicians were very nice. Negatives: our phone line was not setup for almost 2 month (didn't realize until our alarm company told us... as we don't use the house phone except for that), our internet speeds are 400-600 mbps when we are suppose to be getting 1gb (they still haven't been able to solve this), our DVR cable box makes awful noises... we had to go in and exchange our internet modem as it was not working correctly ... also, they didn't give us the right cable box either...) So, nice employees, decent customer support, bad products, and employees knowledge on products could be improved. I hope we will one day get everything working correctly with them... read more

Convenient location for the residents in the Kalihi area. It is in the Kam Shopping Center, on the opposite side of LikeLike Hwy. The setup is similar to the other locations, where there is a checkin tablet right when you come in. The wait isn't too long, usually around 10-15 mins or less. The service rep is helpful and understanding with your requests. I came here to exchange a tv box due to the quality of it intermittently freezing and the cc is not clear. The rep checked and found another brand of the tv box. The one I had was originally Spectrum 101. I went to the Ala Moana location to exchange it due to malfunction. The rep there gave me the Arris TV box. That one is the one with intermittent freezing and terrible cc. This time at this location I got the Technicolor TV box. This one is okay. Sometimes you have to go to another location since they have different inventory and you cannot find out what they have until you get there. There is no calling the store in advance. read more

Spectrum's customer service is deplorable when dealing with unhappy internet customers. They lost me and others in our apartment building to T-Mobile internet due to Spectrum internet rising prices and elimination of bundle discounts. Their response to my complaint was an invitation to find another provider - so I did, along with others in the building. And two months into T-Mobile and we are pleased with service and overjoyed with internet less than 1/2 the price of Spectrum. Now Spectrum is sending me an invitation to return offering savings almost 1/2 price with "no contract". NO CONTRACT allows them to raise prices as they see fit. They should know that retention would have been less costly than trying to win back unhappy customers. read more

Everything takes long regardless if you call or go in person. Spectrum makes it too complicated for the employees to just help the customer. So many processes in place. Expect to wait an hour if you go in person. Then they'll try to upsell you services if you're not careful. I went to return equipment and the agent didn't connect it to my account. I started getting texts and post cards asking me to return the equipment. Good thing I had my receipt still. Yes, I went back and waited another hour just to show my receipt. Our service with Spectrum was extremely slow, so we switched to another provider. Spectrum continued to charge us for monthly service after we had disconnected service and all equipment had been returned. After I disputed Spectrum's fraudulent charges with my credit card company (My credit card company agreed and stopped the charges), Spectrum hired a bill collector who called me and threatened me on the phone to pay. Do not go with this company, the service is sub-par, and they have an internal issue in their billing department which will create a nightmare for you after you disconnect service. read more

I went to this Spectrum store two days in a row to return items and the following day to set up Internet, WIFI for my parents and grandmother's home. The gentleman which I did not get his name was very friendly and assisted with the check in process. The first day Jerek helped me with returning equipment and answered billing questions. Day 2 I went to Spectrum with my dad to set up Internet and WIFI service for two homes. Kevin was patient and answered all our questions. I would recommend setting up an appointment. I was able to accomplish these tasks before I went back to San Clemente, California. read more

Trying to buy the pay per view game between UH and W Kentucky. The channel 1255 wouldn't let me order the game so I was instructed to call Spectrum on the phone to order the game. I was put on hold for over 1 hour. When I finally was connected to a Spectrum rep she didn't seem to know how to connect to the game. What happened this year??? She mentioned that things changed and she wasn't sure if she could get the game to me. After waiting on hold for over an hour and then being told she wasn't sure if she could get the game for me I told her I don't feel like watching the game anymore. Poor poor poor service. UH is losing money because we can't purchase pay per view? How many more people were trying to buy the games and either gave up because your waiting time is over a hour or because the can't provide the service? Spectrum sucks! read more

I wish I could give no stars. Absolutely terrible service. I just needed to exchange a router that stopped working so I walked in because I read online that you do not need an appointment. We checked in and saw that two people were working and two people were being helped so we figured we would be waiting a few minutes. As I was waiting, I noticed that one of the associates (James) was talking story (can tell since they were laughing and not even handling any equipment or touching his computer) with the customer for 15 minutes. Finally after 25 minutes a customer had finished being helped and I was next on the list to be helped yet the associate (Kimi) called someone who was not on the list to be helped next. Frustrated, we asked when we would be helped and they said "Oh, it might take a while." Well that was extremely unprofessional because I could still hear them talking and laughing. I am extremely disappointed in this service. I do not recommend Spectrum AT ALL. I have had much better experiences with Hawaii Telecom and suggest going to them instead. Me and my dad went to that store this afternoon. ZACH was the one who assisted us. I paid my bill and asked him if he can check their system and help us to change our last name cause they messed up my dad and I's last name. I explained it to him but it looks like he's not listening and he slammed the drawer while I'm talking. I asked him if he has a problem or something, and he said no but the way he acted and talked to me was different and made me uncomfortable. So I just took the receipt and left the store. After leaving Hawaiian Telcom. The worst cable service I've ever experienced. I went to Spectrum, they were awesome. I was in and out of the store within an hour had my equipment, did a self install it all worked flawlessly. Since it's all wireless there's only one small piece of equipment. They actually answer their Phones when I needed assistance. Apparently if you have a modem for your internet with them and it breaks they have NO replacement in other words you are out of commission with no internet but they still want your money. beware spectrum does false advertisement they sucker everyone in with their low bundle deals and then after a year they raise the price by over $100 extra on your bill thats over $1200 a year extra from what you used to pay when you get suckered into signing up and they also say that you can call their customer service to take advantage of the new promotion deals and when you call they tell you un the very very fine print it says its only for new customers. not for preexisting customers oh but u have a $9.50 discount lol crazy never had i paid this ridiculous price with hawaiian tel and they always offered and let tou take advantage of new offers gonna see if hawaiian tel is now offering higher gigs in our area and definitely switch they were the best.... everyone switch over to hawaiian tel bc spectrum is a total rip off.. seriously not happy with their service read more

The customer service employees are polite and understanding. SPECTRUM AS A COMPANY STINKS. I purchased the new iPhone SE on the website - as the stores do not carry inventory ( stupid in itself) . SPECTRUM CAN NOT ACTIVATE THE PHONE... no one 'reached out to me' as promised. My account is in migration 1.0 - 2.0 hell. Its so bad and NO ONE CAN resolve at the CR level, - it so bad I must return the phone. Take it to the store to return ? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that would be too easy. I must mail it. It too 52 minutes on the phone ALLOW ME to the return a phone that is unusable. Now I must fight to get my money back. If you can't activate a phone, then don't sell it . I hate you. read more

0 stars....I can't even begin to explain the problems were having with spectrum. With outages and equipment problems. Especially on weekends football season. This company needs serious help. Not to mention how expensive our plan is. They can't even mail out the right equipments. My husband had to hand carry our box twice to the store on N School St. The first exchange was for the wrong box sent to us and the correct box that never arrived. Then that employee gives us the wrong box that doesn't work in our area and it kept rebooting, now back at the store waiting over an hour for his turn gets to the front of the line to find himself waiting even longer because, a customer walks in with an appointment. We didn't know you could make appointment, if we knew we would have done so. He was told by the employee he could still wait or come back tomorrow And trying to get help from a representative online is another poor service, you have to answer questions from a recording that can't even understand a simple answer. So people make an appointment so you don't have to go through what we are going through or you will be waiting forever. Yet, they have the nerve to ask if we would like cell phone service. I went down to the Kapolei outlet on Saturday, because there was a cable outage on the entire west side of Oahu. They sent out an alert that everybody needs to bring in their cable boxes? This was not necessary due to it was the outage issue and not the boxes. I went in Saturday and they gave me a replacement box that was not the same enhanced box a pay for. Went in Sunday with my box and was told they have no boxes until tomorrow (Monday ). Uninstalled my box again and brought it in. I waited 40 minutes for assistance while the worker named LALEI was on her cell phone for 20-25 min of that time. Finally got called to the desk and asked for the enhanced box I pay for. I was told by LELEI that they do not have that box and I have to use what I have. I told her why did Spectrum HI tell people to bring in their boxes if it was an outage. We could have all kept our boxes and waited for the outage to be fixed and kept the box we had. she said was being rude. I was not and just making valid points that she could not answer. She stated it was not my fault that they passed on the wrong info. I then told her she is the face of Spectrum that I am in front of now. I told her to stop counseling me and just give me the equipment I need that is not part of my package. She then went and got me HDMI, power cord and remotes. She then came back and slammed the equipment down on the cable box. I sked for a packed and she put all of the equipment in the Spectrum package and instead of giving it to me over the counter, she dropped the bag from approx. 6-8 inches on the floor and I had to pick it up. She then told me in a sarcastic way " you have a nice day" I told her to have a lousy one like the one she just gave me. As I was walking away, she kept saying to my back " have a nice day " thinking she is making a mockery of me in front of customers. I then turned around and called he " a stupid bitch". I had finally has enough. She then kept calling out have a nice day and I don't care what you call me. She said have a nice day 3 times as I was walking out trying to show how professional she was and mocking me at the same time. I left and thought she is in customer service and has this attitude. On top of that her Supervisor was standing right behind her and did not say a word. LALEI should not be in front of people and should be sweeping and cleaning the office instead. I was wrong in calling her a stupid bitch, but she should have kept her sarcastic mouth shut and just let me leave the store. My wife saw the whole thing and told me I was not wrong, she was being an unprofessional bitch. I made a complaint to Spectrum corporate, and they will issue a complaint ticket to her. They are going to mail out an enhanced version of my box to me. She stated it is not her fault that they made a mistake and should not be complaining to her. I then corrected her and told her she was the face of Spectrum at this time and should act like it. She could have offered me options. I asked if they could text me when a enhanced box is available. She answered with glee on her face "no you have to keep calling". She needs retraining on correct customer service. Spectrum HI made a huge mistake in asking people to bring in their boxes. All they had to do is tell everyone on the same alert, the boxes you currently have will come back on line once the outage is fixed. Because of their lack of correct communications, I lost the enhanced box I have had for years. Spectrum HI really needs to get their s**t together. especially a terrible customer service rep like LALEI. I had to ask for her name because she had it his inside of her sweater.
