Ezekiel is the man!!! It is so frustrating to be abroad and have to deal with customer service over the phone. They never understand and their customer service is -to mildly put it- very severely lacking. Even in-store representatives on island have failed to meet many expectations with their failed promises. But my husband and I were so fortunate to have the help of Ezekiel in the Hawaii Kai store who went above and beyond to help us out. He had so much patience when we reached out to him a few times. My wife and I upgraded our phones at this Verizon / Victra location. Connor was very knowledgeable and helped guide us to make the right choice. Since we had our existing phones for quite a while, we were both eligible for free phones and made it clear we both wanted new phones for little to no cost while keeping our monthly bill low. He helped with our setup but upon checking out we were surprised we were paying much more than the taxes on the phones. He neglected to tell us about the set up and go fees and phone balance fees that amounted to about $100 for the both of us. When I asked him about it, he pointed to a small sign on a separate table about the set up and go service. But the sign never listed a fee for the service and he couldn't even explain what the phone balance fee was for. It was very disappointing because he clearly misled us from knowing about these fees until checkout. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is that I contacted Victra afterwards and they eventually refunded me the $100 for those fees. In the future, please make sure your associates and your store signage are upfront about any and all fees you will charge your customers! read more

Store employee, Young K., legitimately scammed me by putting a screen protector *and* lens protector on my phone without my consent and charged me for both, amounting to $60 worth of accessories I was scammed into buying. When exchanging my old phone for my new phone, he reported my old phone screen as cracked when it most definitely was lightly scratched at best. I have called multiple times and am still waiting to receive an answer. I am demanding a refund. It's unacceptable to scam your customers, I'm also reporting this on BBB and to Verizon. Furthermore, there's really weird wording about your data privacy with this Victra (verizon franchise) store. Young also called and asked me for my passcode while I was out of the store shopping for groceries, which made me nervous about my personal information and pictures being viewed or saved. If I were you I would just go to a normal verizon non-franchise becaus ethis was the weirdest, longest, most annoying experience I have ever had getting a new phone. I wish I had asked for the receipt before paying because to know they scammed me once I got home from a long day at work and then dealing with them for 4+ hours was infuriating. read more

I was in here with a friend who was trying to solve two problems, both of which I was able to look up for him on my iPhone before the employee could give him an OFFICIAL answer. Oh and BTW, some of the information that he gave my friend previous to my official answer?? He completely made up! I'm a firm believer in being able to say, "I don't know, let's find out!" Armand impressed me because he was working alone and there were two customers ahead of me. He was patient and pleasant as he helped all of us. Ok I would have given them 5 stars because my service was of that caliber. But the wait wasn't.. I called prior to my arrival just to make sure they would be able to meet my service needs. The gentle man on the phone was nice and said he would be able to assist me. When I got there, I could only see on employee on the sales floor and he was assisting a customer. Setting him up with a new phone. I waited... and waited and waited... it seemed like forever... possible thirty minutes... I couldn't imagine if I was on a lunch break.. definitely not in and out service... anyways I was starting to get inpatient and then the employee starts to multi-task. Asking me what assistance I needed. From there he was able to get my transaction done in less than ten minutes... moral of the story if you need 5-10 minutes of help you may have to wait three to four times that amount... this is why I like to deal with corporate stores because they are better staffed than indirect dealers. If you are a Verizon customer, save yourself the hassle and don't even give this place your business. This is an authorized Verizon dealer, but not an actual Verizon-company STORE and their shady sales-people completely and blatantly lied about my phone-upgrades and change of contracts. I was eligible to finally receive my $100 phone upgrade credit and was so excited to get my new iPhone. The sales-girl made up a story about how my new plan wouldn't activated until I got my phone (in about a week) and also how my credit of $100 would be applied to on my first bill. The first bill comes in, and NO credit and an actual data overage because the plan that was "supposed" to go into effect never did. My old plan had unlimited data, and according to the liar, once I activated my NEW phone, the data plan would change to the new one. Second sales-person who lied about answering any billing questions said it might take awhile for the credit to be applied to the actual bill. He couldn't see the bill, though, citing we'd have to call Verizon directly. Call Verizon and they stated I was ineligible for the upgrade discount because I didn't purchase it through Verizon directly. These sales-people are only in it to make their sales, at the expense of the customer. They are liars and have horrible customer service. This place is awful. DISLIKE! read more

DO NOT GO THERE, DO NOT BUY THEIR INSURANCE IT'S A COMPLETE RIP OFF! Like another reviewer said they are not Verizon and when you have a problem you cannot get help from the true Verizon store. They sold me an insurance with a company called "Protect Cell". These people are thieves! Protect Cell made me pay what they call an "administrative fee" of $125 to replace my dysfunctional Galaxy note (I didn't break it, the phone is disfunctional but it's over 1 year old). With insurance a true Verizon store would replace it for nothing. Also, under this extremely expensive insurance I was told they would buy my phone back when I was eligible for a new one. Now they are telling me the offer is void because it broke! read more

I have been dealing with Grant for years, and each and every time I have contact with him, his patience and professionalism never cease to amaze me. I recently had major problems with setting up my mother's line in PA, while trying to transfer and update mine, feeling frustrated to say the least. In his typical calm demeanor, everything was resolved, painlessly none the less. As technically challenged as I can be, he never becomes frustrated or upset. After telling him my problem, without even looking up from his phone, he told me I have to go to a REAL Verizon store and he can't do anything about it. GoWireless - HAWAII KAI TOWN CTR LOCATION: purchased iPhone 6 Plus in October and DECLINED phone protection, but GRIP Phone Protection (GRIP is affiliated with GoWireless, not Verizon.) has been charged to my VISA card without my authorization at a rate of $9.99/month for the last 2 months. ALSO, the store representative (M.R) automatically charged me an additional $20 for their "ready to go" data transfer service that I didn't request and didn't have done. I was about to sign the credit card charge and saw the additional $20 charge and asked to have it removed. I was never told what it was for or why it had been added in the first place. (receipt says, "customer refused to pay ready to go . . didn't transfer anything.) VERY SKETCHY BUSINESS PRACTICES! I will NOT return and NEVER recommend this company to anyone I know. read more

Terrible, the Used Car Salesmen of electronics. Absolutely certain about features and facts that prove wrong, told me the LG phone camera 'blows away' the Samsung Note4 and S7. I took my Note out, took comparative pictures in their store, also with their Samsung and LG. LG is nowhere as good. They just wanted to sell LGs that day. Then, walk in to add lines, buy two $600 devices, and when people walked un, he rushed me out AND HE NEVER PLACED THE ORDER FOR MY TABLET! 3 weeks later, no call, no email, I called, no answer, left message, no reply all day, drive down to find out they unapologetically blew it off and a great birthday present is ruined. DO NOT TRUST THEM, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEMSELVES. Oh, and your password and your money DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PASSWORD, TYPE IT IN. Stay Clear of this Store! If you are a Verizon customer, save yourself the hassle and go to a Verizon store because this is not an actual Verizon-company STORE. Here is my story.. Its time for an upgrade so I went in and bought the new Samsung Galaxy X IV. The sales representative, Stephan, who posed as the store manager was quite nice at the time. However, he deceived me and told me there is a new insurance plan with this phone that would protect my device from water. I have had the current insurance with Asurion Verizon Wireless insurance for years. He told me he has me with a better plan named Grip. Fast forward two months and my phone got damaged. No worries because I have insurance. I call Verizon Wireless and they tell me my insurance was cancelled the day I upgraded my plan. I told them I knew because I was on their new plan the Grip. They told me I was not on a Verizon insurance plan, and the GoWireless store sold me their own plan. I went to GoWireless and they told me to call Grip, which I did and was told they have no record of my buying insurance. I then asked for the manager and they told me he would call soon, which he did not and I called back and could not get him. He finally called back and said. " I. I don't remember you. 2. Your 30-day coverage period is up. 3. You did not elect to get the insurance." My husband and I had a lengthy conversation with him about our past when he sold us the plan, so I question his veracity. I then asked for the real manager's contact number and he said it's against store policy to give that out but his name is Mitchell. I asked him to have the manager call me ASAP because we needed a phone. By the way, the manager didn't even offer to look at the phone to see if he could work with it. No customer service at all! I am on 7 days without a call. I have had to make a complaint with the corporation on advisement from Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless also informed me that the real manager's name of Go Wireless is not Mitchell and he misinformed me again. Here is the info if anyone else needs it.
