    Verizon store inside of Kahala Mall. Due to Covid-19, you must wait outside until a Verizon representative comes out to assist you.

    Bu-loop! Bu-loop! Bu-loop! As I layed down to sleep, all of a sudden I kept hearing a - "Ba-loop! Ba-loop! Ba-loop!" What was that sound? Why it was my phone that was on my phone charger, and that sound usually happens when I first put my phone on the charger to charge up. Now the real question is - "why was my phone repeatedly making that noise???" Especially since I just put it on the charger before I went to bed....... After a few more - "Ba-loop's", I just couldn't stand the noise anymore so I got off my bed, and walked back into the room where my phone was being charged. At first, I thought something was wrong with my new phone, but after I touched my phone charger, my charger was on FIYAH!!!! Oweeee!!! That's what happened when I touched the HOT phone charger to disconnect the charger from the electrical outlet! Well, that charger went straight into the trash can, and that's how I ended up at the Verizon store inside of the Kahala Mall shopping center da next day. What can I say about my experience shopping at Verizon? Safe, and very good customer service! The discount on my phone charger was just a bonus! Kinda like puttin' da cherry on top of my custard pie! :D So here's how it works during Covid-19 times......... As I arrived at the Verizon store (they are located just across from T&C Surf - Town & Country Surf), you can't just enter the store. You must wait outside until a Verizon representative comes out to assist you. I guess they are doing this to limit how many customers can go into the establishment at once, due to capacity limits during Covid-19 times. A good thing, as it keeps everyone safe! The clerk that helped me (darn, I forgot to get his name) was very helpful in assisting me on finding the charger I was looking for. As a bonus, I got the charger for 1/2 off! Can we say "DEALAGES Yo!" After picking up my charger, the friendly clerk guides me to this kiosk machine, and I just make my payment via credit card to this machine. I get my receipt, and BOOM! I'm out da door like a flash! What a wonderful shopping experience! Should I need something else in the near future, I'll be sure to head back to this Verizon store!

    This Verizon is in a kiosk outside of California pizza Kitchen and Macy's men's in Kahala Mall. The service here is excellent. The young gentleman that helped us was friendly & knowledgeable. We were actually thinking about switching carriers, but we ended up not switching because the customer service is good & the phone service is also. The parking lot is the Kahala Mall parking lot right out front.

I arrived to the location at around 12:30pm (time stamp in image.) I spoke to two employees. I talked to one employee that took a look at my iPad and confirmed the price and time to pick up (2 hours). I also confirmed again with the guy who managed the payment that it would take two hours. I show up around 4:45pm and no one greets me walking in. So I walk up (five minutes later) to the first employee and asked if the tablet is ready. She told me, "Oh you're early, I just have to put on the screen." It had been 2+ hours since I dropped off so I was confused but I said I will wait till they are done. I came back around 50 minutes later and the repair is not done yet. At this point it is already 5:45pm and it has not been finished. I wait until 6:18pm and she hands me it without apologizing for the wait or anything. I regret not saying anything about the time issue but it feels conflicting because of all the things I signed and I am not sure if I am in right to. The problem is not how long it takes, but it was the misinformation about when pick up would be. I confirmed with two people that it would be ready in two hours. It came out to almost 6 hours. I would not have minded dropping it off and coming back another time, if they had communicated that. But I was told it was 2 hours so I waited there, standing in the store and not wanting to rush the employees. The repair itself is excellent but the customer service was conflicting. I paid $329.84 and expected quality care. I do wish I had a better experience because it seems others do.

She said she can't give me that address. Said she could file a complaint on my behalf. Like that would be accurate. I still have a disputed initial charge to my Credit Card that has not been resolved yet. Things could have been quick and easy had staff done their jobs correctly. Just a fair warning, if there is an issue, AT&T customer service locally and their "800" number may be totally incompetent or maybe just totally untrained. This has been an absolute disaster!!!

I prefer to get my pocket wifi before leaving for my trip so I dont have to worry about it once landing. I usually book online and get a phone confirmation. Pick up is a day before your trip at their Waikiki location. The only hard part is their pick up location, but if you bring a friend with you to wait in the car, it should be fine - or you could grab a bite in the Waikiki shopping plaza since you're already driving there! The wifi itself is easy to use. They explain to you when you pick up, but its all pretty self explanatory. The battery lasted pretty much the whole day if fully charged and is small enough to carry around with you all day without adding extra weight. You can return the wifi when you get back to Hawaii on the departures floor after getting your luggage. Would highly recommend booking for your next Japan trip!

The pocket WiFi was different from what we used before. It was newer, thinner, and lighter. The only downside was that there's no indication on how much battery is left. You need to scan the QR code sticker on the back of the pocket WiFi and the status will be shown on your phone. It is a little inconvenient and the website to show the status was pretty wonky and in Japanese. Regardless, the WiFi was good. The signal was great when we were visiting major cities such at Tokyo and Osaka. There was an issue with connecting when we first arrived but we reset the WiFi using the paper clip pin provided in the bag. The bag included instructions, paper clip, and charger. Overall, the WiFi signal is not perfect but it is good enough to last your whole trip in Japan without any major issues. It lasted about little over 10 hours on a full charge. The pocket WiFi is convenient and pretty affordable to share among 5 people without having slow data.

The earliest appointment was for the next day Thursday March 26, 2026 at 5:45pm. I took the 7:00pm appointment and they close at 8:00pm. We walked in and the place was full of people. On the screen showed 32 people on the walk in wait list!! I checked in at 6:45pm for the 7:00pm which is the 15 minutes recommended on the iPad? 6:50pm, we were helped by SAGE a very friendly sales associate? He asked for an I.D and started the process of getting what we needed the replacements of the 2 cable boxes. SAGE talked and worked fast at the same time which made it go by so fast. It was a very nice and comfortable first experience. By 7:10pm and only in 20 minutes we were walking out the door with what we came for. We went home and set it up and it's all good again. After spending about 40 minutes troubleshooting with support, they told us the installation was done incorrectly and that the technician needs to come back. Basically, now we get internet for 10-40 minutes if we're lucky, followed by 5-20 minutes with no connection at all--and there's no way to predict when it will come or go Extra star from my previous review: I also made sure to ask them not to charge me for the transfer/ service since it hasn't actually been provided and they agreed to that, and wait time on the line was only 15 min

We had enough! So to work around their useless tele-operators. We called to Install... just so we would have a worker come in to the office. We spoke with them. Stated our problem and they fixed it on the spot with a phone call! Hawaiian Telcom should change their name to Filipi NO Telcom.
