    After the small Spectrum shop in Hawaii Kai closed, we have been going to Ala Moana for various services. It helps to make an appointment before hand so you don't have to wait, and our waits have not been long. For years, we have tried to lower our cable bill and over and over were told we had the lowest plan available that included HBO and all these channels we never watched. When I worked downtown several years ago, I was able to subscribe to a basic package, which they kept telling me did not exist. A few months ago, we went in for another matter, and I again asked for a basic package and the guy said yes, they had it and changed our plan which saved us a lot of money. We still get the local channels and I subscribe separately to Japanese channels. The only thing I miss is getting news channels like CNBBC and MSNBC, but I can live with it. So I'd give the last rep 5 stars, but I don't remember his name. And the other reps were okay, but they didn't let us change to a cheaper plan. So if anyone else has a situation like this, just keep asking.!

    It wasn't a very busy evening when me and my other half got there. Signed in and was 8th in the queue. This was at around 7pm on Thursday. Line moved quickly. About 4 customer representatives on hand with other customers ahead and after us. Clean store also plenty of free ample ground parking at Ala Moana Center for easy access. The staffs name was Zara, she was very friendly and helpful. We went there to exchange a defaulted digital cable box and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Overall, great service and everything was smooth with home set up. I highly recommend Spectrum!

    Paying my auntie's phone and television bill... My cousin was a bit anxious about not having television service for a couple of days. It seems as though my aunt was not well and was behind in making payments to Spectrum. I went to the Ala Moana Center location because it was close to my next appointment. Spectrum is on the Ewa Wing, across from Foodland Farms on the street level... all the way down from Meet Fresh and ABC Stores. When I signed in on the kiosk (because I didn't have an appointment), I was #24 on the list of walk-in customers. I thought I could do some shopping and return... I went to Marshall's and Starbucks to look at merchandise. When I returned, I wasn't any closer to being seen. I asked how I could delete my name from the list. I was told to just let it go. I had a 5pm dinner reservation. After dinner, I returned to Spectrum (they close at 8pm) and was #5 on the list. That was much better. I eventually paid the bill, but they couldn't add my cousin's name onto the account. Thanks for being polite and efficient anyway! The next day, I called Spectrum and got my cousin's name on the account - with my aunty on speakerphone to verify that she was okay with this change. Yay! It's all good now!

    They refused to remove me from junk mail list. Great customer service! Kept pausing my internet service cuz of the frequent outages.

    Some Rude customer service by at least 3 agents that couldn't be bothered. The rest of the agents were just fine and helpful.

My concern remains with the overall troubleshooting approach. Multiple technicians quickly blamed my personal router, even though the outage started immediately after Hawaiian Telcom removed my TV Advantage package. The fix ultimately came from Hawaiian Telcom's side, not mine. They needed to clear the MAC address. Hopefully, future support does not default to "customer-owned equipment" before fully checking recent service changes. A less tech-savvy customer could have been without internet for days. Thank you Ms Maria O. for the robotic response/offer to provide assistance. I'll consider the issue closed.

    We had a sales guy come to each one of our doors at Makakilo Gardens. Said he could install fiber…read moreoptic for faster internet and that everyone was doing it . So we switched over. Sales rep said he would schedule a day. We agreed and said weekends. Within a week, technician came, he just started working, didn't even acknowledge us. Where was the communication saying you were coming down? To make it even worse he left a big roll of the fiber optic line, I told him I just had it fixed where nothing was sticking out, and my other half told the guy we aren't suppose to have anything mounted on our walls because of HOA violation. He still mounted it on the wall and left a big roll of fiber optic hanging on my wall like we ghetto or something. Couple weeks later another technician came and left our swing chair all the way out and I thought that was weird. Next thing I know I have two @#$&!!! Boxes on my dam wall. Now I know why he left a big ass roll. Unbelievable . ALL UNITS ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE ONE BOX EACH. Now my walls get two !!!!!!! F $&@! Bull $&@!. I left it because it is not my neighbors fault . We called customer service and these mutha $&@ wanted to charge us for redoing it?!!!!! Even though the technician knows that it's wrong , just try walking in the back of all our units. All UNITS HAVE 1 f$&@! Box. believe within the company there is no communication, no guidance for technicians (or proper training) , no customer service, etc. I give this nice lady this though, we called once and she was very apologetic and said to return the box and keep the line. But what about the other box mounted next to ours ???!!! No body fixed it yet. We gave them this whole month to come down. No one came. We called a second time and that's when they said they want to charge us to get it re routed to our neighbors ??? Guess what June 24, 2026 still f$&@@@@@ there. I had enough of this bull $$$$&&&&&@@@@ . Don't go with Hawaiian Telcom. I guess I gotta be stuck with two mutha f$$$&&@@??? Boxes on my wall. I had my other half mount the two boxes on the brick walls instead of the wall to our unit . Still yet YOUR TECHNICIANS COULDVE DONE BETTER. Shall I even talk about how they be parking in any kind parking stalls when we have home owners that park in specific spots. I gotta tell them not once but twice to move their truck even if they aren't working on my unit ?? Do better. Better yet fix this problem . (AND NO I DON'T WANT TO BE PAST AROUND ON THE PHONE, NEED SOMEONE LOCALLY TO FIX THIS) Side note: The picture below is proof that technician left a big roll hanging on my wall . So my pops tells me that the new TV I bought for him was not working. Upon checking the TV, then the cable box, I realized that the TV was fine, and it was actually the cable box that we got from Spectrum which had crapped out! Normally, I would just head to the Ala Moana Shopping Center, as there's a Spectrum store at the Ala Moana Shopping Center, but this time, I thought I'd give it a shot to try a different Spectrum store, so I headed out to the Kamehameha Shopping Center instead. I'm so happy I made that decision, because not only did I receive excellent service here, there was absolutely NO WAIT at all! When I walked into the store, I was actually looking to pull a number, but as I looked around, one of the customer service clerk named - Buddy greeted me, & took care of exchanging my cable box. I was in the store less than 5 minutes, and upon getting a new cable box, Buddy also gave me this cool reusable Spectrum shopping bag. Mahalo, my Bruddah! Knowing how crowded the Ala Moana Store gets, I think I'll start coming to this store in Kalihi instead!

    Was a loyal and satisfied customer for over 10 years. The quality of the product and features…read moreoffered are unmatched-I.e., recording, hopper, hearing impaired Bluetooth headphone option. However, when I requested my satellite dishes be relocated (from rooftop to ground) due to significant rust on the supports this was the beginning of the end of our customer loyalty. The two new in-ground posts were not secured properly (at the top) and the poles/dishes moved significantly with slight wind. Random cable placement along the side of the house looked ridiculous. Excess cable (approx 3-5') was loose and stuffed behind the pole-top dish mount and the satellite reception was never obtained - no TV for 5 days. The old, rusted satellite dishes were left on the rooftop - technician stated that I needed to call-in a separate work order to have them removed to which I replied "that was my original work request". I pleaded with the technician to remove the old dishes due to safety concerns - he relented and removed the dishes but left the rusted mounts and bolts on top of the roof. The first call to customer Svc / CS that same day ended with "we'll have a technician back there tomorrow". After a no-show the following day the second call to CS was further frustrating w the CS agent stating "we have no record of your previous call". The technician actions along w the CS drama led to a 'no choice' decision - cancellation of DISH service. As of this writing we're still awaiting our $200+ reimbursement- all receivers and equipment were mailed back in June and received (tracked). Unprofessional and unacceptable customer support and service. I gotta say it (DISH) was fun while it lasted.

They are horrible and the service is the worst…read more My receiver has been automatically rebooting itself several times a day, each time it leaves my tv useless for about a good 15 minutes. It's so frustrating! I've called customer service and constantly get transferred so each time I speak with a different agent, I'm retelling my problem over and over again. They eventually sent a technician to take a look, but he takes one look at my satellite dish and tells me that it's an old model and he can't perform any services without replacing the dish to a newer model first. But get this!! He could add the new dish to my roof but he can't remove my current dish!! What the hell am I suppose to do with 2 dishes?? Why would I want more holes drilled into my roof?? I asked him to leave because it's quite obvious he was wasting my time. I called customer service again to gripe and they said they'd send me a new receiver to see if that'd fix my problems, but that I'd have to handle the installation by myself and drop off my current receiver to FedEx. No apologies, no remorse, no understand, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had to argue to get some sort of credit on my account, and to make matters worse, they would offer me credit only if I signed on for another 2 year contract! WTF! I'm done. I'm switching. Don't fall for their BS. Learn from my mistake. They'd get "0" stars if I could.

My dad got Direct TV service without consulting me and at the end of it all, Direct TV has lived up to the nightmare stories I have heard. And as a current DirectTV customer, I will say the customer service is horrible. Happy to put the dish on there but when it comes time to take it off you will get the run around - literally. My dad spent hours between Texas and the Philippines trying to get the local office or provider. Never happened instead he was transferred back and forward. We are moving and Direct TV said they cannot take the dish off - the new rental person has to say they want don't want it and then they'll take it off. ???? We are paying for 2 months of no service to complete the contract even though the homeowner's association said dishes are not allowed. Direct TV's response was "we have a way around that." Really ???!? We don't have time for such nonsense. People really save yourself the heartache and money. Keep a sharp eye out for your Kupuna - don't let them get suckered. This company has no problem saying no to a grandpa for hours who was just asking for some local service.
