Everything was fantastic. We never had to wait long for anything. I have to give a shout out to Ryan!! We had so much fun with him. He was very funny, friendly and the absolute best! I can't wait to go back read more

This past weekend, my fiance and I went into Spain restaurant. Being from the area, I wanted to show her the options Cranston had for fine dining. She was more than impressed, as was I. Ambiance hit it out of the park and was everything we expected. To capitalize on the food and ambiance we also were attended to by an amazing waiter. His name was Peter I believe. He not only was attentive but hit every additional mark you expect from a waiter. He was friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. When looking at the menu he also provided us with recommendations and those recommendations did not disappoint! His knowledge of the menu both for food and beverages that Spain had to offer was extremely impressive. If not just for the food, we will be back next time we are in area to experience the service. Peter's service made it more than a dinner on a weekend evening, but an entire experience. It was the service that pushed this to the top with a 5 star review! read more

Great atmosphere and service. The paella is a must when ordering at Spain! It can be crowded so make a reservation early. I would also recommend trying two or three different appetizers. read more

Everything is excellent. Food is superb waitstaff the best. Ambiance is beautiful. Very clean.

Have you ever been to Spain? No, not the country! I mean the restaurant in Cranston, RI! Like whoaaa baby! You gotta check it out! I came here on the weekend with my family and although it was originally a reservation for two, they were able to accommodate a party of three with no hassle! So kudos to them and their customer service! Now let me give you guys my experience through my palate! Cocktail - the white sangria. Very refreshing with a hint note of apples and some oranges. It was divine! Appetizer - I ordered the calamari. It was cooked to perfection. The calamari had a tender and a slight sweetness to it. The batter was light and it had a crunch to it which paired well with the sherry horseradish cocktail sauce. Yumo! Entree - the Chicken Spain. It's chicken tenderloins stuffed with lobster, shrimp, smoked ham, panko bread crumb and Castilian cheese, topped with cognac mushroom sauce and served with mashed potatoes. Like, "How are you doing tonight with the amount food on that plate?" The chicken was fork tender and the stuffing just completed the meal. There is a reason why this is my favorite dish! It's DY-NO-MITE! 10/10 My son's entree. He ordered the Pollo Al Limon! Lightly battered tenderloin cutlets, pan seared in lemon, sherry, chives, capers and white wine sauce, served with mashed potatoes. His favorite dish too and no complaints from his end! The chicken was succulent juicy and the white wine sauce was on point! 10/10 And the decor with the chandelier definitely had a nice cozy vibe to it! read more

Jason and Ryan are the best servers I've ever had anywhere. I don't cook, I always eat out, and I travel a ton. They were fantastic and I can see how they adapted their service to every person at our table. They big a lot of smiles and good vibes to folks, and it doesn't hurt that the food here is fantastic and hearty portions with legitimate bartenders mixing unbelievable drinks. read more

The owner isn't very professional with a nasty response to a 3 star review. As a consumer paying good money to dine at your restaurant, the quality was blah. You should reconsider being trained in the better areas of Spain then where the food tastes better. Now you get ZERO stars! I just read other reviews about racism. Now I'm upset I spent my money at a racist restaurant! Service was superb. Food was just ok. Having been to Spain, this food is not authentic to their flavors. It was just sub par and a bit pricy for dessert at $12. They don't list the prices of the desserts so they can stick you with a hefty bill at the end. Dessert was ok but I can make a better tres leches. Plates come out piping hot indicating that the food is microwaved before setting them on tables-I don't like this. The mashed potatoes had a skin formed over them. I would definitely not return. Go to Palo in Providence. Spanish Tapas with real good seasoned flavors. read more

Ambiance was fantastic! the meal were large portions, consider to share with your party. the drinks were also delicious. service was great we have two attentive gentlemen. The restaurant was packed, highly recommend to make a reservation. the only thing I don't like it is to see carpet, I do prefer not carpet. however it was clean. we have a great dinner. read more

Cranston Spain Restaurant is alway a sure bet. Only issue is getting in at the right time or have a reservation. Otherwise it's a wait to get a table. The menu is quite different from their former sister restaurant in Narragansett. They must want to make customers know that they're not the same anymore. They do offer a few different menu items that Narragansett does not offer and in Cranston you can see the the concept has evolved to capture more of the upscale style of dining. And the prices reflects that as well. Definitely a price difference between the 2 locations. However the atmosphere in Cranston is definitely more intimate and upscale. The dishes are always great and service is always the best. The best sangria ever! So I've been told. That is the 1 thing that's still the same at both locations read more

I do love a good dinner at Spain! I'm not in Cranston that often so I don't come as much as I possibly could, but when I do get here, it's always a fantastic experience. I should first note that they don't take reservations for parties under 5 I believe. There's a good chance you can be waiting if you arrive on a popular high-volume night. Service here has never been a let down. From the moment you walk in, to the attentiveness of the waitstaff, you're never left waiting on anything or looking for someone to top off your water or bring you more bread. Food is amazing! I usually come for dinner with my girlfriend, but there have been a couple of occasions where my medical group had dinner or a presentation held here and the food is consistently good and service top notch as always! All the meals are fresh, tasty, large in portion and have never let us down. You can eat here dressed up, or a little more casually, prices are slightly more than what you'd normally pay at other establishments in the area, but you get exactly what you pay for here and it's worth it. read more

Excellent food, excellent service, place is always stellar. Sangria delicious. Been a while since we've been here and it was as good as I remember it. Just missing that little scraper they used to use at the tables to clear crumbs. lol. read more

Always a solid choice for dining in and even for take out- which we chose for a low key birthday weeknight dinner option. The portions were huge and everything was cooked right and was piping hot even with the 25 minute trek home. Love that you can be casual or as fancy as you want when eating here. read more

We had such a great night enjoying great food and drinks. My cousins were in town from Vegas and Spain was the restaurant chosen for the evening. It was beautifully decorated in the holiday spirit. The white sangria was delicious, made perfectly! Everyone's entrees came out looking beautiful and tasted even better. I went with the pasta dish which I don't usually go with but it did not disappoint. Desserts were finger looking good too! You won't regret dining here. read more

Second time visiting and it was for a date night with my husband. We made a reservation and we're immediately seated upstairs. We were provided with water and bread, I ordered a sangria and my hubs ordered Jack & coke. The waiter was very attentive and brought over additional bread. It was a busy Friday night so the wait time for our entree was longer than usual, the waiter came over often to apologize. Once we received our food it was delicious! I ordered the veal Spain and it was hands down the best veal I've ever had! I wish they gave four on the plate because it's so good! Everything was truly delicious, we ordered the empanadas for an appetizer and they were also so good! I truly love this restaurant, the service and food is too knotch! read more

I have been in four continents, many countries, and eaten in some high-end restaurants. Perhaps a surprising locale for such exquisite dining. Spain's filet mignon remains reigning champion in my wife's eyes and mine, a challenge comparison we enjoy making when we travel. Their clam chowder app is also unmatched in our eyes, as is their Sangria. Do not leave without dessert, you can't go wrong. A shoutout to the best hostess ever, Stacy. read more

Food is amazing, desserts are amazing, service is always top of the line, and the restaurant itself is just beautiful. We love Spain!

A+ food and A+ service! We came by with a larger group for my cousins college graduation. Our table was promptly ready and our waiter introduced himself almost instantly. We really felt like we were in good hands. They made great recommendations and helped us navigate the menu. My cousin had flowers and gifts that were brought for the dinner and they were so kind to bring a vase for him to display them in. The food was outstanding! For appetizers, we ordered the calamari, shrimp, and stuffed scallops which were all delicious. For dinner I ordered the Pollo con Gambas. The chicken was well seasoned and moist. The shrimp were massive and very flavorful. To top off the night we had a tres leches cake, very moist and very sweet. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the Cranston, RI area! read more

Spain was the last restaurant the co reviewer and I went to before the quarantines began. We have been here several times and they are always consistently great meals and service. The place is clean and comfortable as always. Of special note in this new post plague environment there tables have always had a decent distance around them. They are among the most spacious restaurants in Rhode Island. The house made potato chips are fantastic! The co reviewer had the pork special and I had the filet mignon. Both were excellent. The chocolate mousse was delicious. Once the craziness is over we look forward to coming back. read more

Spain is a classic place to celebrate a special occasion. It sort of feels like you've gone back in time to a more civilized era; tables are assigned 3-4 wait staff, and they do all the old world flourishes, pulling out your chair, setting the napkin on your lap, pouring wine with flair. They even sweep crumbs. The food is good if not particularly inventive, and the portions are huge. It is an expensive night out, and the main room can get a bit noisy, but Spain is a great choice for a celebration with family. read more

Haven't been to Spain in a while. Due to multiple Unexpected physical/financial difficulties. However, Spain is my all time favorite restaurant of all the places I hv ever tried. I've lived RI,Mass.,Ct,Texas. I've also been to restaurants in many other states. Spain restaurant takes the cake by 1 million times over. Just love it .if you've never tried it you absolutely must. Really nice night out. Take a date, or not. Great for any occasion actually. Enjoy enjoy read more

Spain is a pretty well known restaurant in RI and most who eat out, even on a semi regular basis, have likely been there at least once. That being said, I went there Saturday night for dinner for the first time. Being it was a special occasion, I wasn't as put off by the 90 minute wait as I normally would be. The wait would be the worst part of the experience. We were seated upstairs. The noise level was slightly higher than what I would consider normal, but not so bad that you can't have a conversation. We started with the calamari and slices of tomato with mozzarella, cucumber and beet layered. I'm not a beet fan but it was good, and the calamari was nicely cooked and breaded. The peppers complimented the calamari nicely. I had the Veal Spain and my girlfriend had the pork tenderloin for entrees. Again, both were cooked perfectly, were well seasoned and portioned nicely. The meal concluded with the chocolate chip bread pudding. Sweet but not too sweet, toasted on top and soft inside with a side of vanilla ice cream. I should add that you start with a bread basket with very crispy bread that is soft and chewy on the inside. You'll be tempted to load up on it, but leave room for the food. The food could be considered to be on the pricy side, but I didn't have anything I felt could have been prepared better. The food was good, service was good, I'll just have to get there earlier next time. read more

I called several restaurants requesting reservations, but because we only had a party of 4 no one would accommodate us, except for Spain. Glad we made the choice. I have been there several times and it never disappoints. Food, dessert and service were great. We didn't feel rushed although online mentioned 1.5 hour max. We were there for 3. Manager came over at the end to make sure everything was ok! Highly recommend. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for! read more

Spain Restaurant - Stuffed Salmon with mashed potatoes. - Spanish Near Me - Cranston, Rhode Island

Dined here last Friday with a large group of my family--there were 16 of us. I think every single one of us left both impressed with the service and the food. We imbibed everything from pitchers of fruity sangria to tumblers of icy whiskey while noshing on crunchy-tender calamari and chicken empanadillas to start. Selecting an entree was a bit of a challenge, especially with so many impressive-sounding specials. I tried one of the regular menu options, the Mariscada Salsa Verde which contains shellfish in a green broth with pasta. Honestly, although it was overall very tasty, some of my shellfish was overcooked (namely the clams, which have a rubbery reputation to begin with). I still enjoyed the meal however, and perhaps next time I will try one of the exciting-sounding specials instead. The service was excellent, as was the ambiance. Our waiter, Matt, was funny and knowledgeable. He made my family feel right at home. My birthday is in a couple weeks, so my mom had the waitstaff surprise me by singing happy birthday. Let me tell you, it's quite a treat! Apparently all the servers are tenors and therefore a Spanish birthday song from them surely beats what you might get elsewhere, even if the candle-topped rosette of whipped cream and chocolate sauce they bring you isn't anything special. Overall, I had a really great time at Spain and am definitely looking forward to my next visit. read more

Excellent. The service, the wine, the food. Went there with some neighbors and we all got delicious meals. Everyone raved about their food and the service. I got the Sole Frances and it was delicious. It usually comes with mashed potatoes, but I asked for the potato chips instead. What a great dish. The vegetables, the chips and the fish were very good. Some other people at the table enjoyed the paella, the Pollo al Limon, and the Mariscada Spain. I got a glass of the house Cab and it was a great quality house wine. I believe it was Chateau St Jean California Cab. Everything was reasonably priced and very well cooked. The waiters were attentive and pleasant. A great dining experience. read more

I'm just not really impressed with Spain and I can't see what the hype besides the wonderful ambiance. I had white sangria. I tasted no alcohol. Initially, the clam chowder was delicious but then I couldn't finish it because it was too salty. For dessert I had creme brûlée. My daughter had the stuffed salmon which she said was "okay". Additionally, she had wine and creme brûlée. Our waiter was ok but I give accolades to his helper. He was very professional and accommodating. The bill was over $100. I will only come back to go to the lounge area. read more

Came here for a birthday dinner with a party of 8. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. This was my first time here, and my first impression was wow - this place is huge and the decor is nice. The ambience is very upscale so this is a nice place to come for a special occasion. For food, we ordered chicken empandillas for an appetizer and they were crispy and delicious. We also ordered the arroz con pollo, pollo con gambas, paella, pollo jerez, and chicken spain to name a few. Everyone liked their dish but the favorite was the chicken spain. They were all good, but I'm not so sure they were each worth the $20-42 price. There are so many other restaurants in RI where you can get similar food that tastes better, for much cheaper. The servers were very prompt and friendly. Overall, we had a nice time but this isn't a place we'd come to again. read more

Food was great! Service was awesome and the ambiance was sensational! Can't wait to return.

Everything I ordered was amazing. The drinks and food are top of line. Nothing held back, fine dining at its best. The Lemon Meringue Martini is my new favorite cocktail, I highly recommend the Spain Salad. If you can never decide between chicken or egg plant Parma like me I suggest the chicken parm, topped with eggplant parm, topped with chicken parm again and finished off with a slice of cooked prosciutto. We couldn't decide on desert so we ordered half the desert tray. All of which was amazing, but the Tres Leches was the best I have ever had. Looking forward to my next outing there! read more

Great service and the seafood was great. I would go back again! Definitely a family or intimate restaurant.

Another restaurant that I come to all the time but I don't check in like I should! I have been coming here for 20 years and have never been disappointed ever. I even had one of my wedding receptions here one! (Yes, folks, serial groom here!) I love the sangria and espresso martinis, the potato chips, the constant water refills, the veal jefe, the filet Mignon, the lobster, the amazing daily specials, and, of course, the desserts! One of the best tres leches around! David and Carlos have waiters there for 20+ years and they know how to take care of the guests! Plenty of parking as well as valet available too! read more

Food, service and ambiance are all top notch. This is the best restaurant in the state of RI. The server, Peter is the best!

This restaurant never ever disappoints. The food variety is all so decadent. The waiters are very knowledgeable about dishes and happy to tell you about it. The appetizers are all wonderful it's hard to decide. We always get the calamari the stuffed artichokes. The specialty dinners offered when your waiter tells you about them are also very very good. They have a talented chef back there. I always enjoy a refreshing drink in the Summertime. They make great drinks. The desserts.....well they are all perfectly delicious. I always try a different one and split with hubby for a less guilty pleasurable dessert. Nothing wrong here ever. It's dining the way it should be delicious food and great conversations.
