We had Jessica and she was perfect. Such a sweetheart even accommodating when my always late sister- was late. She patiently waited and took care of my fiancé and I while we waited. She was full of energy, professional and she made sure to take care of my sister as it was her birthday. We got the deviled eggs and steak tacos as apps they were very good. A little pricey for here deviled eggs which only came with 3 but they were good. I ordered the eggplant parm, it was pretty good. I've had better but it was flavorful and a decent size, not that many eggplant pieces though. My sister ordered the salmon and she loved it. My fiancé ordered the Tuscan sausage orcchiette and he enjoyed it also very well. It was on the smaller side for a meal, but he enjoyed it. Easily one of my favorite restaurants. Top notch service. The food is delicious and I'd recommend the braised short rib or au poivre steak with truffle fries. I always get the burrata for an app and the flourless chocolate torte for dessert. No need to deviate because it's so good. They have a decent variety of wine but the cocktails are the star. My favorites are the Lemon & Lavender and the Panty Snatcher. I with the alcohol to gin because that's my preference but both drinks are so good! The ambience is phenomenal with 3 separate rooms with different vibes (bar, main dining room and patio). You can also host a party in a private room in the basement. The only issue that I have is that the bathrooms in the main dining room are not handicap accessible, and you have to go downstairs for the handicap bathroom. Unfortunately, with the signage you don't know that until you get to the main bathroom door. I'm currently using a knee scooter due to surgery so that was tough aside from that, this is a top dining experience for me. read more

Its the old Chapel Grill! Who knew they closed? Still a beautiful facility and so glad they left the absolutely gorgeously stained glass windows in the bar area! Just like the Providence location- a live DJ with a hot Playlist and a somewhat similar menu. I tried the beef carpacchio and the prosciutto roll. What an amazing idea!! The roll was also delicious. I love the balsamic touch and the chopsticks! The carpacchio, it was my first experience so I feel I cant really judge. The steak was tasty. Needed a little salt but the mashed potatoes were the creamiest! The Brussels sprouts- I am a bigger fan of crunch as opposed to soft. They were soft but flavorful. The berry cheesecake was ok. I wished it had a more flavorful crust but a nice mixture of berries. Our server, Jess, was great! Honest and just was working hard for us. Great customer service. Jess gets 5 Yelp stars from me! I'll admit that I was a little heartbroken when I heard Chapel Grille was closing but I definitely perked up when I heard the news that the team behind Circe would be opening a new restaurant in its place. A few updates to the interior & a delicious Providence Restaurant menu made for a delightful evening out! My friend & I met up for dinner. By 6pm, the bar was hopping but the dining room was just starting to fill up. We started with a split of Canella Prosecco (the Circe restaurant's house prosecco). I was trying to decide between the Beef Carpaccio & Grilled Lamb Lollipops. Upon recommendation of our server, I ordered the former. Peppercorn crusted filet mignon, black garlic aioli, pickled fresnos, caper berries, lemon, parmesan. It was good but, personally, I like a little less accoutrements on top to let the beef shine. My friend ordered the Italian Wedge - iceberg lettuce, grape tomatoes, gorgonzola, pepperoncini, green goddess, pepperoni crumbs, crispy bacon. She loved it but, again, for me, I would prefer a simpler version. I scanned the wine menu & was delighted to see Forge Cellars Riesling from the Finger Lakes, NY. Very few Finger Lakes wines make it out of the region & even more seldom are you able to order just a glass. It is a bone dry riesling from southeast Seneca Lake & it is a super special wine. For my main course, I ordered the Blackened Salmon: broccolini, mango salsa, fregola, sofrito, prosciutto, tomato. A good sized piece of salmon with the perfect amount of spice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the fregola & the unexpected sweetness from the mango salsa. My friend ordered the Day Boat Scallops: purple risotto, sweet & sour butternut puree, siciilan red pesto, orange beurre blanc. The presentation was stunning! Scallops were perfectly cooked & the risotto was toothsome. I really loved the orange beurre blanc sauce. For my dessert, I ordered the Carrot Cake: seasonal berries, vanilla chantilly cream. Simple & delicious. My friend ordered the Circe Affogato: vanilla gelato, chocolate shavings, amaretti. Pretty presentation - our waiter poured the espresso so quickly that I didn't have a chance to take a pre-photo. A great combo of coffee & dessert in one dish! We went to Circe Prime to check out the place that once was the old Chapel Grille restaurant. The inviting garden at the entrance was full of beautiful flowers and plants. The hostess was very friendly and the bar area was ample and very well stocked. I got the salmon and it was not bad.... a bit salty for my taste but not a bad piece of fish. The dinner rolls were good an the olive oil on the table for dipping was good as well. Not a bad place for a nice meal in Cranston. read more

Came here for a family dinner.. BEAUTIFUL both outside and inside.. staff was very friendly and accommodating when we needed to modify a few things we were ordering. Our Waitress (Jess was her name I think) went above and beyond to make sure we were all satisfied and left happy and full! The food was good, started with calamari for the table and bread, of course... Then moved onto entrees. Everyone got something different and they were no complaints! Having been a regular for many years at Chapel Grille, it was not an equivalent experience at Circe Prime. The service from Nathan was excellent. The ambiance is still lovely. As a newcomer to this dining experience, we decided to try the luncheon menu. For starters, we did enjoy the prosciutto roll plate which consisted of parma prosciutto wrapped around arugula, Burrata cheese, and roasted sweet peppers. It was a unique and tasty appetizer. The bread and oil as always was a good accompaniment. However, neither my husband nor i enjoyed the entrees. He ordered the Meatball Wrap which included mashed potatoes, Chipotle Aioli and onion wrapped in a tortilla. He did not like the taste of the meatloaf or the spices and would not order it again. I decided to order the Bolognese pasta dish and it was so spicy that I could hardly tolerate it. In addition, the red sauce was not what it was in prior years. I would not order that in the future since it was not to my former delight. We have eaten at Circe in East Greenwich many times and enjoyed their entrees so we expected a better experience. read more

We come to a restaurant first and foremost for the food, right? The food was worth the trip on this, our first visit. It was restaurant week, an economical alternative to the regular menu. The restaurant offered a prize fixe menu, one appetizer, entree and dessert. The apps sizes were half order; entrees and dessert full orders. For apps we ordered Lamb Lollipops, Prosciutto Fig Roll and Fig Carpaccio. All were delicious and even at 1/2 size were an ample portion. The entrees, again full sized orders, were equally delicious and plentiful enough that some of us took home leftovers. Our choices were Overnight Short Rib, Chicken Parmesan and Vodka with Chicken. Yum, yum and yum. Finally dessert did not disappoint: Flourless Chocolate Cake-decadent, Tiramisu-luscious and New York style cheesecake-creamy. Everything in each course was expertly prepared and served hot when appropriate. None of us went home hungry. The service was excellent; once seated table service was consistent and most pleasant. At the end of the meal the host came to our table to inquire about our experience. In my book, a host/manager/owner who takes the time to visit their guests is genuinely interested in providing a memorable experience for the patrons of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is beautifully appointed. The tables are situated so as not to crowd guests. The women's bathroom was clean (important). Circe Prime is worth the visit. This was the first week that Circe Prime in Cranston was open and it lived up to its good name! The atmosphere is amazing, perfect location for a special occasion! They lightened up the bar area with fresh paint and it looks amazing! We were a party of 8 and everyone enjoyed their meals and would return! We especially loved the espresso martini tree! This was my first time dining at this Circe location and I was really impressed with the entire experience. I got there early and grabbed a bar seat around 4:30pm on Saturday and by 6pm the place was filled. From start to finish the I received exceptional service from the bar staff. The steaks were amazing (got the bone in ribeye) and cooked perfectly. The apps and sides were also excellent, The restaurant has a unique atmosphere with a "chapel" appearance on the outside and in. My prime New York sirloin was truly prime, full of flavor, and cooked exactly as ordered -- a steakhouse that clearly takes its craft seriously and is building on the strong foundation of what this restaurant has been before. Service really made the night. Julian was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming on one of the busiest nights of the year. He handled everything smoothly and made us feel like regulars rather than just another holiday table. Special mention as well to Mike behind the bar. He nailed a very non-traditional Manhattan for me, and even the lemon peel showed real craftsmanship -- the kind of attention to detail that separates a good bar from a great one. First of all the place is huge!!! The decor is amazing. Very classy. I loved the over sized semicircle booth my friends and I were given. It was so cozy and felt private. I loved our waiter, he was very personable and had a good sense of humor. He recommended a fantastic wine that may be my new favorite in life! A wonderfully dry Sauv Blanc. My ceasar salad was delicious and for dinner I had a gnocchi special which had the most incredible sauce on it. My only complaint was that some of the gnocchi was a little under cooked so some were hard and the portion was a little small. I didn't complain because half of them were cooked perfectly but I would never know if it wasn't until it was in my mouth. We didn't stay for dessert. I would go back again but I will say I love the EG location more so chances are I will end up there in the future. read more

Went for our staff holiday party and had such a wonderful experience. The crab cakes were so good, and the Caesar salad with anchovies--chef's kiss. I also had the steak with French fries I still dream about: garlicky, truffle, parmesan, perfectly crispy... I just wish they gave more because my plate was definitely on the sexy-slim side . Listed below if reasons Valet - terrible. Probably the rudest valet I've met in all my years. Hostess - very nice and welcoming. Was seated promptly. Dining room- was in the "three season " room. Nice spot with big windows and very open feeling but they couldn't get the temperature right. It went from wanting to take your shirt off to needing a jacket every 10 min. The rug in the dining room looked like it should be vacuumed. Definitely a turn off. Appetizers - lamb lollipops were top shelf Calamari was about a special as getting it at any other chain restaurant Dinner - terrible Pork chops should be served with a extra glass of water they were so dry Ny strip - didn't impress at all. She said she would let the kitchen know and she came back and let us know that she did and nothing was pretty much done about it so for those reasons, I was disappointed. It was sad to see chapel grille go and my husband and I came to Circe prime on a Saturday night and the experience from beginning to end was amazing! The men at valet were friendly and had great smiles on them! They loved the corvette...haha great guys! The hostess was amazing ! Again we were greeted with a smile and friendliness. The waitress had awesome recommendations on which dish to try. The food was to die for!! Oh my goodness! Again.. from beginning to end the service was amazing. I've been hooked. The vegetables looked like a ball of brown something. My husband has had diarrhea for 2 days now with dizziness and nausea. He may have gotten food poisoning from the salad or the steak. read more

Circe Prime is an esthetically beautiful restaurant. The issue is they believe that they are a fine dining restaurant and our experience was not consistent with fine dining. The service was fair at best. Water glasses were not refilled after the initial fill. From a culinary standpoint, the food was okay but not great (especially for the money)... the eggplant parmigiana was good but no one offered pepper or grated cheese which would have enhanced the flavor. The lobster ravioli was three ravioli and the scallops were overcooked and rubbery. At no point did we see any management which was evident in our experience. There are many better options for true fine dining in the area and recommend trying one of those places. read more

Dinner- the wife ordered the Overnight Shortrib and she enjoyed it and she stated she would order this again. I ordered the 22oz Ribeye, that per the menu it claims to be 45 day aged prime ribeye, this is where the 2 stars come in, this place claims to be a "Steakhouse" and the ribeye was overcooked, I ordered medium rare, when the waiter asked if the meat was cooked to my liking, I showed him that my $70 ribeye was not medium rare, it was between medium and well done. The service from the waiter up to this point was great, but after I told him that my ribeye was not cooked medium rare, he went ahead an took his phone out and took about 2 to 3 minutes to turn on the flashlight on his phone to show me that the ribeye was actually cooked medium rare, this was very insulting and I did not want ruin a great night out with the wife by complaining even more, so I just told the waiter I would keep the ribeye. I had better ribeye at chain restaurants for half the price. We will not be visiting this restaurant again as it is a fake "Steakhouse". If you are looking eat a great steak in Rhode Island I would stay away from Circe "Prime". read more
