As always, the ambiance at Cucina Rustica is special and enjoyable. Our group of 8 was pleased. The special dinner menu is perfect with great selections for each of the main courses. Salads are always fresh and tasty as are the soups. Everyone who had a pasta dish was thrilled with it particularly with the Chicken Parm and the Chicken Marsala. Went to Cucina Rustica for lunch with my sister and mother. We had a wonderful time there. We all loved what we ordered: linguine with clam sauce, shrimp scampi and a veal Parmesan sandwich. The veal was probably the best veal parm sandwich I ever had: extremely tender and flavorful. My mom and sister loved their pasta dishes. Pasta is home made and it shows. They both also appreciated being able to get smaller portions: perfect for lunch. My sandwich was so big, I had it again later for supper. It was still excellent. Service was great! This is the second time I came here with my father. He loves this place. Each time that I've gone with him he's never gotten the right meal. I ordered a pizza with brussels sprouts, goat cheese, pancetta, and red onions. The brussels sprouts were just cut, raw and on the pizza, thrown in the oven and cooked. My family and I came for my engagement celebration and it was a truly wonderful dinner. Service by Tori was AMAZING! She made our evening so special and went above and beyond to make sure every request was fulfilled. The food portions here are huge, the appetizers were amazing, specifically the oysters and the eggplant - get these if you come. They gave us complimentary cordials and coffee/tea with the cake we brought which was a great surprise. We had such an amazing time here and the service was incredibly attentive. Visited for a friends retirement party. They were amazing at accommodating us. The staff was so kind and worked diligently to keep our drinks and bellies full. I had the carmina to drink which was essentially an aperol spritz. I wasn't a fan as it was incredibly bitter but drank it anyway. Everything was delicious except my friends Kale ceasar salad that was romaine instead and very fishy. They kindly removed from the bill as it hadn't been touched and she really didn't enjoy it. I ordered the Alforno which is a chopped chicken cutlet baked with fresh pasta in a vodka sauce with lots of cheese. I wish it had more sauce to be honest because I love sauce but this is a preference. It's was very delicious and enough to bring home for lunch the next day. Prices are reasonable however my friend got the eggplant ravioli and was still hungry. I think there was maybe 5 ravioli on the plate and was $24.A few friends had a lemon martini that was strong and delicious. It was fresh pasta but still a bit stingy on the portion. They finish the meal by offering some complimentary sambuca or amaretto to cleanse the palate and aid in digestion. I thought it was a really nice touch. Dined here for the first time tonight and I must say I am very disappointed. The service was terrible. We arrived close to 6:30pm, the restaurant closes at 8pm. Our server was very inattentive and when he did interact with us it was extremely rushed. We were left unattended for most of the evening. We've been here a couple of times over the last year. The first time we didn't even try because the line was out into the street. Obviously a sign of something good going on. After that, we made sure to go on less popular nights. The food is always delicious. The giant meatball makes a delicious appetizer. We weren't fans of the Sangria when we had it at our first visit, but maybe it was an off night. We also have had the espresso martini, and that's perfect. On our second visit, my boyfriend had a problem with his meal. Without a fuss, we informed our waiter, just so they would be aware of the problem and be able to prevent it in the future. I was very pleased with everything from ambiance to the food served. Bathrooms were clean and place was well lit but warm. Black linens and chicken parm was fabulous! Pasta was amazing! Great sauce! Bread could be warm but the butter was soft sweet butter cream. I had a grey goose vodka martini and it was great they served with blue cheese olives! Held a work event here in January and it was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, the room was beautiful, perfectly set up and the audio was just right. Our servers Leah and Norman were incredible to all of our guest and made sure that everything went smoothly. They cleared tables as soon as there was a need and were so kind and personable. Good Italian food in a lovely setting. We have been here a few times and always enjoyed our meals. The first time we came we ordered a meat and cheeses plate and 2 entrees. The meat and cheese plate with bread and turned out to be more than enough food. We took the entrees home and enjoyed them the next day. Since then we have gone just to get the meat and cheese platter and it has been just right. They have a Wednesday bottle of wine special and other daily incentives. This past time that we were there it was a little disappointing. A couple of the goodies that had been on our favorite platter weren't there. We were told that they had run out. My friend ordered a side of pasta and a meatball because he was still hungry. The side of pasta came with a gigantic meatball that was very good. We come here frequently. I typically get the chicken parm. The red sauce is to die for you could drink it. Home made pasta is fabulous. Tonight I branched out and get the Fra Diavolo. It was overloaded with seafood. Very good. The only comment I have is the home made pasta didn't really jive with this dish because it got clumpy under all the seafood. Reg spaghetti would've been better. My husband got a chicken cutlet special. He was all sorts of hot and bothered that it didn't come with soup or salad. He did have a point though, chicken parm dinner comes with it so the more expensive chicken cutlet special should have. read more

Went there for the third time and once again the food was excellent. In our visits we've had the short rib dinner VG, the veal sorrento VG, the brick chicken VG and the Sunday gravy which is superb. House made pasta is a real plus. Service is knowledgeable and friendly. The offering of sambuca or anisette after dinner is over the top. We highly recommend this place as it is top notch.
