    Boozy Cocoa Flights
    Maria J L.

Food/Drinks: This place has delicious food and is honestly one of the best spots for breakfast. One of my favorite things here are the boozy flights! Strong, tasty, and have such a good variety. Honestly, they're one of the best parts of the colder weather coming back, just so I can go and have them again. I do wish they had them all year round ! Location: The location has a cozy, casual yet modern. You can definitely come dressed casually, but it's also nice enough to dress up if you want. I've only been here for breakfast, so I'm not sure how dinner is. I would definitely recommend making a reservation since it gets pretty busy. This place is perfect for a chill family time, first date, or just to catch up with friends ! Parking is easy with both street parking and a lot right in front, which makes it super convenient. Service: The service has always been great when I've gone. The servers are friendly, attentive, and get the job done, no complaints there. I'll definitely keep coming back, especially in the wintertime!

    Moon Bites
    Eric M.

I've heard so many good things about this spot thought I'd give it a try with my girlfriend before seeing Harry Potter at PPAC. The good highlight was definitely the moon bites. Flavorful fried mozz, great cheese pull on them. The Apple crisp also came out super hot delicious apples and loved the addition of some vanilla ice cream and strawberries. The bad: the burger was definitely a frozen patty, the burger was called the sheriff and I wanted to see him after having it. Just felt like so much going on but was so blah. Even the onions were so large and the burger didn't taste like it was seasoned. The ugly, the fish and chips or the fish and oil as it should be called was dripping. To the point were it left oil on the plate and even a small pool at the bottom portion of the fish. Definitely sad to see. To the service, honestly felt neglected from when we first walked in, no one had acknowledged us and kept having conversations, no one ever checked on us while we were at the table to see how the food was (probably because they know something was wrong or how long it took). The place wasn't that busy maybe 4-5 tables, and still took over an hour and a half for everything. The inside was clean, clearly updated which is always nice to see they care about aesthetic but should do the same with some of the food. I would give it another shot for maybe brunch as it seems to be popular, or maybe a pizza.

    Grits with Pulled Pork
    Erika W.

I was in town for a work conference and, as always when I travel, I make it a point to support local Black-owned businesses. That's how I ended up at The District for brunch--and I'm so glad I did! To start, I ordered the Guavamosa (champagne, elderflower, and guava juice). It was super light and refreshing--definitely one of those drinks that creeps up on you (in the best way)! Perfect for brunch vibes. For my main dish, I got the Grits with Pulled Pork. It usually comes with poached eggs, but I swapped them for eggs over medium. Let me tell you... those grits? So savory and well-seasoned--I'd come back just for a bowl of them. The pulled pork had a sweet, smoky flavor that paired beautifully with the grits, and the runny egg yolk brought everything together into one creamy, delicious bite. I sat outside, so I can't speak much to the indoor ambiance, but the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, timely, and super attentive, which I really appreciated as a solo diner. Highly recommend for a chill brunch with bold flavors and great energy. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Providence! #ImNotAFoodie #ImJustAGirlWhoLovesFood #YelpEliteSquad

Pizza - hard pass! Total disappointment
    Sila R.

The disappointment! We drove all the way from Boston to try this place. The first time we came was on a weekend, but since it's such a cozy spot, we couldn't get seats. We decided to come back again--this time determined! The drinks were amazing--I had a margarita that was perfect. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip (honestly, the best I've ever had!). The cauliflower was a little burnt but still tasted great. The ladies enjoyed the poppers, though I don't do that level of spice. We also tried the cheese pizza, hot honey pizza, The Graduate, and a burger. The Graduate was good, though the beans were a bit bland. No complaints about the burger. But the pizzas... total disappointment. No flavor, no seasoning--they looked great but tasted like cardboard. Such a letdown after everything else started off so strong. Let me not forget to recognize how nice the waitress was - on it, attentive and pleasant !

Came here for brunch and it was pretty busy but we got seated pretty quickly. Environment was loud but it's what you expect for a brunch place. My food was DELICIOUS and exactly what I was looking for when it! Love coming here for their brunch food.

Jerry! The best bartender in RI!
    Andrea R.

I love this place! I am a frequent visitor and love the staff, food, and drinks! There is on street parking, and a parking lot across the street. On Fridays, it gets real busy, because they have a live band, so get there early (7-8). Today, I had the blacken salmon, harvest salad and fries. It was so good! Jerry is the best bartender in RI. Also, the garlic knots are great!

Crabcake Benedict. Replaced poached eggs with fried eggs.

Came here on my birthday for Sunday brunch and overall it was a pleasant experience. No frills, and even though I listed in my reservation that it was for a special occasion specifically my birthday nothing was mentioned or done. But not a big deal not holding it against them. The service was great. Our waitress was present and kept checking on us, food came out quickly and so did the drinks. The guavamosa was really good and was the perfect balance. The tequila sangria on the other hand was not. I'm not a fan of red wine and it was so overpowering. You couldn't even taste the tequila. It took me the whole time to get the drink finished because it just wasn't that enjoyable. But if you like red wine, then you will love the drink. The Benedict was super yummy, the chicken and waffles was also really crisp. Definitely would go back to dine inside for dinner one day.

    Huevos rancheros
    Annie R.

Food: I came here years ago for the pizza and remembered it was really good. This is my first time doing brunch here and it was soooo good! I ordered the Huevos rancheros. Eggs was cooked over medium and just perfectly done. The flavors were all there and I love how they mixed sweet potatoes in with the homefries. It was a great balance. My fiancé ordered the salmon Benedict and it was also really yummy. Service: We had a super attentive and nice waitress. She was great Ambiance: The place is bigger than it looks. The seating was nice and not too close together. It was pretty packed so I recommend getting reservations done before hand. The set up looks really cool and everything was clean. I'll be coming back!

    Huevos Rancheros w Mixed Fries
    Kaylin V.

We got there at opening for brunch and had reservations just in case, I feel that if you get there before 11am, you should be fine if it's a party of 3 or less but anything more than that or after that, DEFINITELY, make a reservation. The service was quick and friendly and the restaurant itself has an elevated bar feel to it. If you seated at a certain side of the restaurant you can see the bar and the person making pizzas. For brunch, we had a regular coffee, water, and the Guava Moscow Mule Mocktail, which was delicious! For food, we got the Huevos Rancheros which were delicious and so were the mixed fries. The mixed fries are just potatoes & sweet potatoes mixed but they were good. The chicken & waffles were good too! I personally don't like cinnamon but I also didn't read on the menu that it was a cinnamon waffle, so that is my fault, but I still enjoyed the food! I'd love to come back for dinner/lunch to try their pizzas because someone ordered a chicken bacon ranch one & it smelled absolutely delicious as we were leaving!

We ordered drinks before the meal. I had a Vermont Red Ale for the first time which was very good and worth remembering. The drink, Fuchsia Butterflies ($15), was made solarium gin, house-made lemoncello, with a Gran Classico & Violet Rinse. It was quite excellent. I had a sip to try (I am usually not one for cocktails) and enjoyed the taste. Perhaps I will try cocktails in the future. For food we shared curry moules frites, well done, just how I like them, and salt and vinegar Wings - tasty but too salty which detracted from the dish. We ended with a good chocolate mint creme brûlée. The check came to $80 to which we added a decent tip for our friendly server, Triston. The space is a large modern hanger-style food court with a large bar station and plenty of seating in and outdoors on large patio. Wonderful for families and groups to gather around at long large tables. We found a table by the end by a large screen wall tv with sports on and comfy leather club chairs Great for drinks and talking. First stop, we stood at the bar and ordered our drinks ($14 cocktails). And got big glasses of ice water and headed to our table. We then we split up and everyone walked the hall looking at menus. We all ordered food and gave the restaurant a phone number and they'll text you when your items are ready, generally about 10 or 15 minutes depending on how busy things are. Then you go pick up your tray and head back to your table. Note... don't forget your phone like I did. It's a great opportunity for grazing. If you wanna try a little bit here and there. I chose to have Mediterranean food from TOLIA. Appetizer was a nice three dip Mediterranean plate with pita chips $15 that were crunchy and good. For my entrée, I selected the minced lamp, kebabs over eggplant with pita and an added extra cucumber yogurt dip $29. This was all very tasty And costs about $50 with tip. A bit pricey for a self serve if you ask me. But that's the way things are going on these days. It was a nice time sitting around and talking, but then it got very crowded and very noisy and people were hovering by 5:30 to take our tables and even asked if we were getting up soon. It was a cold chilly day, but the overflow folks were headed outside of the picnic tables, which seemed very cold to me, but on a warm day I would all be very nice. A note on parking, we parked in the adjacent parking garage right near behind Track 15 and get your ticket validated inside at wall kiosk by the door when Leaving. This will save you, so two hours cost about $8.95.

Looked at all of our options and I decided to go with Mexican from Dolores and my wife decided to go with Giusto PVD. I wish I had chosen Italian over Mexican. I've been dying to try Dolores so I opted to have three different tacos after asking the girl at the register if she would recommend their chicken sandwich over the tacos. She told me that everything was good so I went with the ribeye taco, the shrimp taco and the mushroom taco. The ribeye taco was fantastic. There was quite a bit of ribeye in it and the perfect amount of spice. The shrimp taco flavor and the mushroom taco was just spicy with a little flavor. I'd have to say the ribeye was the best taco and it definitely wasn't worth what I spent on them. My wife had an eggplant Parm sandwich and it was cooked perfectly, looked delicious and I wish I had gotten that. I really wanted to order a long Liv beer, but the bartender was talking to someone, I assume that they knew, as although I was only the second person in line I didn't get waited on for over 10 minutes. I ended up walking away to go get my food and just drank water. So my first experience here was not great, overall I'm pretty disappointed, but I'm going to go back and try again as there are a few other restaurants. I really do like the idea of being able to get dishes from different restaurants, pick your own seat and sit with other people at a community table. It's really nice inside and they had live music tonight, which would've been great if we wanted to stay. Next time I go back, I'm definitely having Italian, pizza and some falafel.
