Advertising open when closed - The image shows a sign for Jefferson Diner situated on a grassy area adjacent to a road. The sign is black with white lettering and indicates that the diner is open. Several cars are visible on the road, and there are utility poles and power lines overhead. In the background, there are trees and a building, with a partly cloudy sky above.

Half hour walk to a "CLOSED" sign on their door. Tuesday, September 9, 2025, 8:00 am. Their business website, social media, YELP advertise otherwise.

Breakfast plate - A breakfast plate includes three fried eggs with runny yolks, two cooked sausage links, and a portion of seasoned diced potatoes. The food is arranged on a white oval plate placed on a light-colored table surface.

Really good food! Glad we stopped and enjoyed every bite. Place is small but full of character and love. You can tell the staff loves what they do.

The image shows a diner counter with a brown ceramic coffee mug, a folded paper bag, and a set of utensils including a fork and spoon in the foreground. Behind the counter, staff members are preparing food, with shelves holding plates, bowls, and framed photographs on the wall. The setting features a brick wall, a drop ceiling with fluorescent lighting, and a television mounted on the wall. Condiment bottles and sanitizer are also visible on the counter.

Breakfast is always classic. Real diner feels. The sandwich's with potato salad for lunch is a great choice. The ladies there are so kind. Seasoned pros in service. Plus it's locally owned and operated sooo big ++++ there :)

Sweet elixir of life. - A brown ceramic mug filled with a light-colored beverage, likely coffee with cream or tea, with a metal spoon inserted. The mug is on a beige diner table, with a menu and some condiment packets visible in the background. The setting appears to be a casual American diner.

This was my second time here and I have grown completely enamored with this place. Found out today that it is woman owed and was started by the woman's (who usually works the grill) mother 53 years ago. Great casual place with friendly waitresses. If you are in the area, check it out!

a nice hot coffee!! delicious - A hand is gripping a brown ceramic mug, which appears to contain a hot beverage, in a diner environment. The background is out of focus, showing other customers and the interior of the diner, including wooden accents and seating. The setting suggests a casual dining experience with a focus on traditional American diner style.

I had a bad morning and this was my third shot at getting a seat and getting blueberry pancakes. (everyone is short staffed) I got here and they stopped serving blueberries at 11 and i just missed it. she saw I was having a rough morning and decided to make them anyways. thank you. it's the little things that make a big difference to me. i'll 100% be coming back. THANK YOU! it was December 30th at 11:03am i'm not sure who was working but they all rock.

the front of the restaurant - A small American diner features a red shingle roof, brick and siding exterior walls, and large front windows with curtains. An orange umbrella shades the entrance, which has steps leading up to a door. An American flag is displayed outside, along with a sign indicating breakfast and lunch options. The parking lot in front has a car partially visible, and the sky is clear and blue.

Small old diner, but clean and well maintained. 6 booths and about a dozen stools at the counter. Menu is small with the basic breakfast choices. (They also serve lunch) Nothing fancy, no benedicts, no wraps, no egg sandwiches, no waffles. Service was quick and friendly and prices were a bit lower than other comparable diners in the area. The food was quite tasty and well prepared. Very serviceable diner if you are in the area.

The image shows a breakfast meal served on a diner table, featuring an omelette with diced ingredients and a side of roasted potatoes, a toasted bread with butter, a cooked chicken leg, and a muffin. A person is holding a glass of tomato juice, and there are utensils and a salt shaker on the table. The setting appears to be a classic American diner environment.

The CUTEST tiny diner, my partner and I loved the food. Great quality and good prices, the staff was so sweet as well. Bummer they are closed on weekends

Coffee - A boy with dark hair wearing a green hoodie is sitting at a diner table, looking at his phone. On the table, there is a brown coffee mug, a glass of orange juice with a straw, and a menu. The background shows a wooden railing and a window with natural light, indicating an indoor dining setting.

Upon arrival the room was at 68 (below 30 outside) soooo turned that sucker up. Put it on 74 and thought it would warm up overnight. Arrived pretty late, after 11pm. To my suppose the room was still at 68. And getting out of a warm bed to that was not my idea of a good morning. I called the front desk and the agent confirmed I was using the right thermostat to control the temp and noted that maintenance would check it. That was fixed as when I returned it was a nice balmy 76! Downside though was the unit did an odd cycling thing with warm air....cold air...warm air. So it never shut off at night and tan the entire time. Their drive way is odd, one way only and Tuesday morning there was a delivery truck blocking the exit. Thankfully no one else was behind us so we were able to back out. The room felt very industrial. Concrete walls and high ceilings, with an almost open concept bathroom. Barn door and the shower was a waterfall (over head) with hand held option thankfully. If you've got curtly hair, you know why a waterfall shower is the worst. And to ere was no shower cap as an option. The shower itself did not go all the way to the ceiling which also meant there was no barrier between you and the room. If share with a partner may not be bad but with friends, that's a nightmare. Other downside was the lock was funky. When leaving for dinner, thank goodness I checked the lock as it did not lock. I had to open the door and mess with it to finally lock. All in all decent hotel however I can't say I'd stay again.

When we arrived there was parking available and no wait, but by the time we left, the tables were pretty full as was the parking lot. The Cozy Grill is quite literally cozy inside... the menu features breakfast classics but also an impressive Benedicts menu. I'm a Benny girl through and through so this was very appealing to me. I tried their most popular option, the Fig, Prosciutto, and Goat Cheese. It sounds like a bizarre combination for Eggs Benny, but let me tell you, it really works! I was very happy with my choice. The home fries were also quite good. My friend had eggs and corned beef hash. She is a huge fan of corned beef hash and was really impressed by how it was served (more elegantly than is typical). I, never having had corned beef hash in my life, tasted hers and thought it was really good! All in all, I'm so glad I finally discovered this spot. Be warned, it's on the more expensive side for dining and may be a coin toss for "is it worth it" for those that enjoy a night out but also looking for value. Food was a mixed bag for us.... Starting with the smashburger was genuinely disappointing as the burger itself was dry and advertised as a "French onion" smashburger that failed to deliver any of the rich, savory flavor we expected with a name like "French onion smashburger". The hot honey Mac and cheese was very good and flavorful... The hot being more of a vinegary heat than I expected but the cream sauce was rich. Speaking of value earlier.... Smashburger was $20 and the Mac and cheese was $28. Entrees were $10-15 more it seemed but previous reviews all spoke highly of the entrees and would want to try them if we visit again. The overall service experience was disappointing for us. Not for the demeanor of the staff but everything else... We had a decent size group of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids) and was fortunate to have a dining room to help the kids burn some energy while not bothering the other diners. However, from ordering to entrees to arrive was 45 very hungry minutes. It also took 20+ mins just to get drinks. Once the food arrived, they also were short two of the kids meals which was thankfully corrected quick. We then were somewhat "gently" being asked to wrap things up by 3 staff members in 10 mins making the rounds to clear plates and any to go containers. We all understand the business in the food industry and turning tables, and trust me, after an hour from arriving to food on the table we wanted to get home for bed time. However, really sours the experience and would not advocate going here with large groups.... Between the kitchen and staff I can't say you'd have a guaranteed good time.

The food was good, but not as amazing as I had thought or hoped. Of course, this is my opinion and you are welcome to disagree. In fact, I'm happy for you if you had a better time. The menu read very fancy and culinarily interesting, but for me at least, that just meant they took what would be great, but overcomplicated it, made it too foodie. No matter what I ordered I would have had to change something. I got the chicken sandwich. I'm in the 10% of the population where cilantro tastes like soap, but cilantro is mixed into the slaw that is the primary thing on the sandwich. I also asked for light chili mayo because I don't like too much. If that was light mayo, then maybe they normally serve it in a bowl of chili mayo. It was 2 relatively large, very fried, chicken breasts. I immediately took one off because I knew I would make myself sick eating so much. Frankly, it basically tasted like a fried and chili mayo sandwich. All the chicken flavor was completely drowned out by the fried taste. I don't think I'd order that again. I swapped out the sides for the Gruyère mashed potatoes. They were very good, but they got really dry and starchy by the end. I got the espresso mock-tini, which was basically milk and a shot of espresso in a martini glass. I could have downed it all in one gulp. It was nonalcoholic, but it was still priced the same as the alcoholic stuff. Bottom line, if the company were paying again, I'd give it another try, but if I lived here I don't think I'd come here again on my own. Still awesome service though, and plenty of people love it, so hopefully it works better for you!

Most egregious: the shrimp that came with the Caesar salad was POPCORN SHRIMP coated in SWEET-AND-SOUR sauce. I truly couldn't believe it. Why wouldn't the server at least warn me? To add insult to injury, my salad was overdressed and soggy. Also, the dressing was revolting. I don't mind anchovies for flavor, but the dressing tasted like an anchovy puree. I think it was maybe past its prime. I had one bite and couldn't continue. Inedible. And the fries. The parmesan truffle fries were drenched in mayonnaise??? I don't really care for mayo but I don't mind a drizzle or an aioli dipping sauce. However, the mayo to fry ratio was literally 2:1. I tried to wipe it off and it was still like a mayo-fry soup. Inedible. I took everything to go and just trashed it. I've NEVER done that before. This is a delayed review (meal was a few months ago) and I'm still rattled by how bad it was.
