Used to be a pretty good place for a good beer and a good bowl of chili. But about 4 years ago it became a place where you were not welcome unless you were wearing a red hat and or you were white. I do drop in there and on occasion but it still has the same vibe. It's a shame. read more

I've been a few times once for brunch and once for dinner and trivia. Brunch: got a breakfast burrito and the bottomless mimosa. Both were tasty. The mimosa could have been stronger. Trivia and dinner: got the make your own burger and a forgot to get a picture! Ordered it medium rare and most of it was but some was medium well. That side must of been thinner or their grill isn't even! The indoor space is like any neighborhood bar. Friendly people and standard decor. The women's bathroom is single use but there is a locking separate section for the toilet so someone else could be washing their hands while the next person goes. The outdoor space was well above expectation! The tables and chairs are metal so be warned! The lights and decor are super cute. There is a tv outside and music too. Overall a solid spot! read more

Staying close to the airport I needed convenience & a warm meal. Preferably a fresh one. This little hole in the wall was not only close but also featured fresh bar food (that also happened to be delicious) and was served with genuine mom & pop hospitality. If you're looking for a fancy meal, this place is not for you. If you need convenience & love that down home feel this place IS for you. A good place to be a regular if you live in the area.. While it doesn't look like much from the outside. The inside has an elevated dive bar look to it. Warm, welcoming, a little out dated but this place wears it well. Service was great. Our server recommended something from every section of the menu. I came in a party of 5 and we all got something different. Elevated bar food made with love sums up their menu! In our party we got: chicken caesar wrap, meatloaf, loaded shepards pie, wicked hot burger & SVI burger. Everyone loved their meal. The meatloaf and Shepards pie was raved about. The wicked hot burger is seriously HOT (fried pickles are made with chili peppers). I had the SVI burger and can personally say it was delicious! Absolutely recommend if you're in the mood for a burger. Burgers and sandwiches come with a side. I opted for a salad and I was pleasantly surprised when the salad came and how fresh it was! The house chips were very tasty and homemade if you want a more filling side. They have a full bar: wine, beer, cocktails. While it's a smaller menu- there is something for everyone. I would recommend this place if convenience is necessary! Will be back again when staying near the airport. Ambiance is laid back and very casual. read more

We went here for Sunday brunch having never been here before. The atmosphere inside wasn't bad with a bar in the middle and high and low top tables surrounding the bar. The service wasn't bad either and our server was kind and funny. The issue was with the drinks and our food being served on paper plates. The drinks we got were a spicy Bloody Mary and a Cranberry Mimosa. There was absolutely no taste of champagne in my very large glass, just mostly cranberry. The Bloody Mary was not spicy and had nothing in it as far as bacon or olives or even horseradish, it was very plain, not spicy and had almost no vodka. The size of the drinks is great, but there is really no alcohol. I'm not saying it has to be super strong, but when you buy those drinks, you want at least what you pay for. The food didn't taste bad, but it came out on paper plates. I don't think I have ever eaten in a restaurant on paper plates. It was not a horrible experience, but just don't serve people on paper plates and add the correct amount of alcohol to the beverages. They also did not have many GF options, just the eggs and omelettes, and nothing is listed as GF so use caution with that. read more

We stopped by for a couple quick drinks before our flight. The moment we stepped through the door, we immediately regretted not coming sooner. The bartender was cranky, yet attentive, and we absolutely loved him! The drinks were strong, the prices were totally reasonable, and judging by the amount of people in there at 3pm on a Monday, I would say this place definitely has a following! The bar itself is filled with cool nostalgia and local relics that tell a story of the bar, and give it a local neighborhood feel, despite it being on a busy road right by the airport. read more

Went for brunch/lunch before a flight out of PVD. Service was kind and attentive. Asked for crispy bacon on sandwich but they did not cook it well at all. Two of us went on a Saturday night, very few people there but we waited at least ten minutes to even put in a drink order (we were seated at a table for dinner). We were waited on by four different people, which made things confusing and slow. Rueben sandwich was good; Mac and cheese was tasty, but the sauce had a weird texture - it looked sort of broken into pieces. I usually frequent this place every Sunday and Monday, Sunday mornings they have the best brunch, absolutely amazing menu. It'll blow your mind, Mondays they have $.35 chicken wings again amazing, they have an extensive menu, a very big selection of craft beers, outside tent in the back if you prefer to sit outside, the staff and the bartenders are amazing, in the kitchen always has great food. A great little authentic Irish pub right down the street from the airport. It was pretty quiet at lunchtime on this rainy Monday that I chose to stop in, but that's not really a surprise considering most restaurants do their business between Wednesday and Sunday. And with the weather being crappy outside, I'm sure that kept many people away also. The bartender was extremely friendly and was quick with a smile and ready to chat. I'm a pretty friendly person so it didn't take much to get me to start shattering away with him. I placed my order which came pretty quickly and this sandwich really hit the spot. I had been craving corned beef for a little bit and this was stacked high with very high-quality Meat. It was full of flavor. The house made potato chips served with the sandwich were still warm and tasted delicious. I thought it was a nice treat that you don't find in a lot of restaurants. They had a really great looking menu that I'm curious to try and there was such a cozy feel to the ambience of the restaurant combined with the great food, reasonable prices, and fantastic service. My main reason for a 1 star review is because they water down their drinks. They charge going price and you're getting half water. My table ordered 4 jack and coke and you could hardly taste the jack. At first I thought it was just short on jack and heavy on coke, but after ordering a double shot of jack straight up, I knew they were watering down the liquor. The jack was barely a tan color, almost like dirty water. Jack is brown! It even smelled watererd down. I get upset as a whiskey enthusiasts when someone thinks I am stupid enough to not notice watered down alcohol. That's straight up one of the crapiest moves a bar can make to pinch a penny. It's not even like they're offering cheaper prices. If the owner reads this...stop screwing your customers. We can tell what you're doing.‍ read more

Nice little 'dive' bar with friendly staff, bar food and lots of good adult beverages. The outdoor space has been put under a tent over the winter, which helps with spacing patrons during this time of pandemic. The burgers can be made with pre-made beef patty, quinoa patty, Impossible burger patty or chicken breast. Put that on a brioche roll or upgrade to a pretzel style roll. The amount of fixin's available to go on top is wide and varied. If you decide to 'build your own' you will not be disappointed in the options. The 'sides' include much more than just fries. There are a bunch of tasty apps, a kids menu for those under 10 and a couple of desserts for those who like to end a meal on a sweet note, or just grab a coffee (Irish?) and dessert. Why not? Entrees include comfort foods like meatloaf and mac & cheese, there are a bunch of sandwiches, soup and salads for those watching their waist line. There is a bit of parking out front, and a lot more in back. It's super easy to get into the parking lot, right on Post Road (Rt. 1) south bound. The beer list is extensive and the house vodka is Tito's so you know they take their drinks seriously. During pandemic the menus are paper and you can also find it on line through their website for hands free viewing. One restroom each for ladies or gents: ladies on the right, gents to the left. It's small in there so you can't really miss them. Wear your mask when not at your table, the staff are, and there is hand sanitizer for you too. This would be a nice relaxing stop if you are traveling and want to stop for a quick bite and beve before or after a flight as well as the kind of spot the locals frequent. They offer Wednesday trivia, $5 cheese burgers on Thursday (what a deal!) and Sunday brunch. A nice, friendly, laid back neighborhood pub. read more

I've been here a few times. My burger is always cooked perfectly and it's thicker than it looks so it's definitely worth coming back for. And let me add that Thursday is $5 burger night. Even better right?! My friend made a point of telling me this isn't a cute date night idea because it gets messy. But let me tell ya, you'll enjoy the hell outta it! Ok onto the nitty gritty... the Mac n cheese wasn't really worth it. The pasta was undercooked and tasted like Parmesan and white cheddar but no other seasoning. Not an order again item. Next, those Irish spring rolls... I was excited to try these. Execution was noteworthy. They stayed together nicely. Not too oily. The filling... I was expecting more meat. After 3 years plus of regularly going there I was shut off after having 2 drinks not because I was too drunk but because Bill and I had a fiery debate about Measles. Nick acted like an arrogant douche in his manner, this on the heels of my hearing week in and week out from my wife that he busting her chops every time she goes in. I had a bad word for Nick and left. Ashley then overstepped her role and told my wife who had said and done nothing the she was no longer welcome there. Then we learn from a mutual friend that theyve been spreading lies saying I was trying to order a 5th martini (no I dont think so) and that my wife and I were both calling both Nick and Ashley names. After messaging Bill privately with no response Im yelping so the public will no that SVI is apparently anti free speech. Not a great look for a bar! read more

I went to Trivia with a group of friends. The Trivia host was very nice but everything else was a mess. All three to four servers were equally covering all tables, which led to us being ignored multiple times, first when we sat down we waited at least 10 minutes for someone to come over, then again when we were ready to order food. We ordered two appetizers and waited over 20 minutes for them to come out. After waiting a long time for anyone to come over, we walked up to one of the waitresses who was not actively helping a table and asked if they could come over to us soon and she said she would follow us over immediately, but then never came over. We saw multiple rats outside and then one in the bathroom, the appetizers we received weren't great either. The drinks were okay, but after ordering a few beers and one mixed drink, we waited at least 10 minutes for it to come. We will not be returning. read more

Good selection of beers as well as traditional NE dare to eat. Lots of other food items looked good too, but that's not why I am making this review. Aside from the place being outwardly attractive and clean, the staff had such a terrific attitude! One bartender said he could make more at other more corporate places, but he loves to work here. It really shows as a customer! Other staff agreed and were also super fun to be around. They said here all managers still wait on customers which explains a lot. I will be back. This place ruled. The impossible burger was pretty good, you can add many toppings from jalapeños to sautéed mushrooms. Haddock was frozen but good. Beer selection was typical, per my company. Price was fair. Asked if there were any other colder beers available. Got a snarky response and took the bartenders suggestion. (Freakin $10 for a can of beer!) So I have to wonder how people with no personality get into food service?? I mean I had to really work not to lose my cool with this guy who looked like he lives on somebody's couch. From the get go he was a dud--attitude like--"I want to go home--you're bothering me. $15 for a loaded burger--$30 for 4 beers!! $9.50 for a shot of Basil Hayden!! Ridiculous. This place is AMAZING! They have so many fun specials that are so worth it. My family and I go every Thursday and Monday for the cheap burgers and wings and they never disappoint. The burgers always come out cooked to perfection and the wings are always super crispy and delicious. The service is super fast and there is a girl we get every Thursday that is very nice and funny. Inside is clean and very cute, really well decorated. So glad we found this place because it has become something my family look forward to going to every week! read more

Bar with a dozen tables plus outdoor (covered in winter) seating at a dozen tables. Lots of TVs tuned to sports. Serves breakfast and lunch. Limited breakfast menu but does have eggs Benedict. Imitation maple syrup. Meals served on paper plates. The short stack was 2 7" pancakes. Enought for most people. Prices are good and service was fast and friendly. The better half and I have been looking for a good burger since we moved to the Ocean State. We have found some good ones, but nothing we felt we would be coming back to with any regularity. Well the luck of the Irish was with us at Shannon View Inn. As pictured, we both had a build your own burger. For sides we got Buffalo chips and fried pickles . Everything was super tasty and cooked perfectly. Let me just tell you about two things... listen closely...PRETZEL ROLLS AND IRISH CHEDDER CHEESE!!!!!!! The service here was reasonably prompt though a bit overly familiar. We visited for brunch, and they provided both a specific brunch menu as well as the general dining menu, presenting us with a concerningly excessive number of options. The execution turned out as flawed as expected - the chicken and waffle were quite dry, served with a modest amount of underflavored compound butter. The syrup was a grotesque pancake syrup, unforgivable in general but especially in New England. My friends got omelettes, once of which was sort of a scrambled egg pancake and the other was open face, conforming to neither the French nor Western styles. Their texture was dense and muddled rather than light and fluffy. The brunch drinks were large and inexpensive, but my spicy bloody mary was neither spicy nor strong - it basically tasted like tomato juice. I wouldn't recommend this place and don't intend to return. read more
