Bananas foster french toast - French toast topped with banana slices and drizzled with syrup, served on a decorative plate. A small container of syrup is placed beside the toast. The dish is dusted with powdered sugar and appears to be a breakfast or brunch item.

Came here for breakfast as I was staying here, and it was nice for the convenience. There wasn't anything amazing to come across town for, but they had a small breakfast buffet with your typical eggs and meats, fruits, pastries, and juice and coffee. Nothing too exciting but serviceable. There is also a menu for more complex dishes. I got the bananas foster French toast, which was a nice sugary start of the day. They are also open for lunch and dinner for your stay convenience. The service was good and seating was plentiful.

    Clam chowder

Based on the reviews I stuck with the appetizers. I ordered a cup of clam chowder which was good. Not the best I ever had but still tasty. I ordered wings (8 garlic honey ) that came with celery which was good. I also ordered a side Caesar salad which was good. The server asked if I wanted fresh cracked pepper which was nice. The house wine was tasty. Overall it was a nice meal. I forgot to take a pic of the rest of the meal. The view from the hotel was nice also

Had some room service from here upon arrival and it was pretty good. Food was delivered fast and hot. Clam chowder was good as was the Reuben sandwich.

Gorgonzola steak with smashed garlic potatoes - A white round plate holds a cooked steak topped with blue cheese, alongside green beans and roasted potatoes. The table setting includes a glass of red wine, a bottle of wine, and various barware items in the background. The scene is set in a restaurant environment with a marble table surface and bar accessories visible.

I was very impressed with my experience here as a diner and bar patron. I didn't expect much considering this is attached to the Crowne, but I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of the service, food and drinks. I tried the gorgonzola steak rare and it came out beautiful, on top of the food I was VERY speciality impressed with the cocktails that were available. My friend got the pork tenderloin rolled with apples and sausage and I managed to try a few bites and I am tempted to say I wish I got that instead. We tried some classic cocktails along with a few specialties, I think the group favorite was the "Nellie" a cranberry seasonal cocktail that would be enjoyable anytime of year. The espresso martini I had as a nightcap was perfectly balanced and left me excited for the next time I come to visit. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Don't skip this place!

Chicken Marsala and pizza - A dinner plate contains chicken topped with mushrooms, served with mashed potatoes and a side of sautéed vegetables including zucchini and carrots. A small salad with mixed greens is also on the plate. Next to the plate, there is a pizza with pepperoni, green peppers, and other toppings. A fork rests on the edge of the plate, and a glass of beer is visible in the background. The setting appears to be a casual restaurant with a dark wooden table.

The pizza here is pretty good. We also had the chicken Marsala and calamari as appetizer. Overall I would say this place is ok. Nothing too special

Mushroom and Swiss burger with truffle parmesean fries
    Donny S.

I don't normally expect much from hotel restaurants but this burger was actually quite good. The menu only shows one burger but you can make your own burger for $14. It came with a choice of fries, truffle parmesean fries, or a salad. I went with the truffle parmesean fries and they were pleasantly truffled (not overwhelming). Burger was juicy and done medium as I had asked.

Inside lots of space for big groups and parties

My family was here for graduation wknd for BU. This restaurant was very clean, peaceful, and food came out quickly and fresh. It's inside of the hotel but it operates like an independent- it's def family friendly and the menu doesn't feel chain like. Music was current. WiFi was free. Drinks were strong. Older and younger crowds welcome. Not to mention they stay open very late for a New England restaurant. Irinka service was awesome and the MOD Jonathan was perfect.

Craving wings, a comfy spot to enjoy said wings? This isn't that spot. It's loud, the ambience is over stimulating and the food is meh at best. I will say the people were all VERY nice, but it couldn't carry the rest of the experience. We got: Teriyaki tenders with fries 5 and 5 buffalo and honey BBQ bone in wings Side of tots The bill total with tip was a hair under $50. A little steep but would've been worth it if the food was better. It was 30 min before our food came out. We had one customization and that was no seasoning on the tots or fries, salt is ok. I'll run down the list: Tots were a notch below room temp Fries were stale and same temp as tots Tenders room temp and wings not warm in the least. They appear to have a temperature issue and frankly with a table of fried foods, that's kind of a big deal. The sauces for all were delicious though! I'll give them that! Yummy blue cheese dipping sauce too. I was disappointed especially with the tots and fries they had SO MUCH POTENTIAL to be amazing! They weren't greasy and could have been potato perfection. The place isn't comfy at all, there's tv's lining the top border of the room all playing different sport things and ads. The chairs aren't comfortable and it's def not made to hang out for any length of time. It's in a mall, so there's lots of family which is a little odd in that the it has the air of a sports bar. And finally it's expensive. I got the bathroom text, which made me laugh but not sure if it's a family friendly bathroom with it potentially being a hot box. Ohhhhh BWW, you have the potential to be a great place. Well, I won't be back and I'll be looking for another wing joint to try until I get it right. CHEERS!

The restaurant has a modern but cozy style, with lots of seating and a lively vibe that makes it perfect for hanging out with friends or going out with family. It felt comfortable but still exciting at the same time. The food was definitely the highlight. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and you can tell they care about quality. The portions were generous, and the presentation looked just as good as it tasted. There were so many options on the menu, so it would be easy for anyone to find something they like. The service was also great. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick without making us feel rushed. They checked in at the right times and made sure everything was correct. It made the whole experience even better because we felt taken care of. Overall, Tavern in the Square is a restaurant I would absolutely recommend. Between the fun atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service, it was a really enjoyable experience. I would definitely go back again.

The dining area has honeycomb, black and white tile floor, the reclaimed wood slats on the benches and tables and big metal bowl lights all made for vibe cool. The bar is Big & oval bar must seat 20 people, It's a good spot too. Our libations were very tasty, I enjoyed one of the best Aperol spritz ($12) I have tasted and my date had the old-fashioned banana foster $14. We were both very happy with these choices. For a meal we ordered bowls, $25 each. I had the ahi Tuna bowl and she had the salmon bowl. They really cut back on the fish in these bowls... shrink- flation? Added lots of rice and I had to ask for more kimchi and carrots just to see more vegetables, but in general, it was fine. The Salmon bowl on the other hand had so much broccoli that it was overpowering the entire balance of the dish. I'll pick differently next time. The good service and the convenience of the tavern in Garden City will bring me back.

Be warned, it's on the more expensive side for dining and may be a coin toss for "is it worth it" for those that enjoy a night out but also looking for value. Food was a mixed bag for us.... Starting with the smashburger was genuinely disappointing as the burger itself was dry and advertised as a "French onion" smashburger that failed to deliver any of the rich, savory flavor we expected with a name like "French onion smashburger". The hot honey Mac and cheese was very good and flavorful... The hot being more of a vinegary heat than I expected but the cream sauce was rich. Speaking of value earlier.... Smashburger was $20 and the Mac and cheese was $28. Entrees were $10-15 more it seemed but previous reviews all spoke highly of the entrees and would want to try them if we visit again. The overall service experience was disappointing for us. Not for the demeanor of the staff but everything else... We had a decent size group of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids) and was fortunate to have a dining room to help the kids burn some energy while not bothering the other diners. However, from ordering to entrees to arrive was 45 very hungry minutes. It also took 20+ mins just to get drinks. Once the food arrived, they also were short two of the kids meals which was thankfully corrected quick. We then were somewhat "gently" being asked to wrap things up by 3 staff members in 10 mins making the rounds to clear plates and any to go containers. We all understand the business in the food industry and turning tables, and trust me, after an hour from arriving to food on the table we wanted to get home for bed time. However, really sours the experience and would not advocate going here with large groups.... Between the kitchen and staff I can't say you'd have a guaranteed good time.
