I have been here a couple of times and it never disappoints. Breakfast - lunch - dinner all day - can it get any better. I love the Uncle Mike's Biscuit and Gravy breakfast. It hits the spot every time. The waitress was by herself and she got a little busy - but she was still very attentive. It does need some music in the background because it gets quiet and you start listening to other people's conversations. I saw the pancakes on the grill and they are huge. So if you like pancakes def try these. The main attraction is the Sausage gray and Biscuits- it is just the right size- flavorful and accompanied by two eggs and homefries. Eggs were perfectly runny and the homfries were seasoned nicely cooked with a crisp. Overall this place continues to be one of my favorites. If you have not tried - what are you waiting for?

Again, really fantastic experience we got this sandwich passport today. We didn't get here for lunch because it's Sunday and they only have breakfast so we had the sausage egg and cheese sausage Patty is husband's favorite on white toast wasn't bad. I don't eat sausage myself, but he said it was very good. It was cooked well enough for him. We had the flavored coffee of the day was toasted. It was very good full of flavor not bitter, nice and strong the way I like it. He had a regular cup of coffee with milk. The server's name was. Samantha she was very upbeat and bubbly. She wasn't fully experienced with the passport, but she would readily admitted that and she was questionable. She asked questions. She was right on top of the serving came up with our coffee before even got comfortable and then she, I ended up ordering a dish of their homemade rice pudding. It was awesome. Just kinda like homemade rice could've been cooked a little bit more but other than that it was really good and the sandwich was OK. I myself don't normally eat white bread or sausage because it gives me a stomach ache. The husband ate so fast we didn't get a picture unfortunately so that will be for next time although you will use the pictures I think today I did. I did come to their famous french fries but unfortunately theirfryolater was not working so we didn't get any side. as always it's a wonderful experience coming here. It's like a family environment. Everybody is welcome no matter what time you come in and they will see you and serve you and that's amazing. Important. Definitely a hidden experience in a strip mall right across from big north province by Dept on mineral Spring

Went with a coupon for a free hot dog. It was nicely presented. We also got their home made hash ($11 for a lb! Was really good) Eggs over easy, home fries, toast, and a pancake. Everything was cooked perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive. I'm not giving it 5 stars because for a diner, it was a little pricey. A plain burger started at $12. Place was very clean. I would come back. The corned beef hash was probably top 5 in the state!

This is where the locals eat. Random diner search while visiting family in Providence and we lucked into Mike's Diner. It's small and cozy - 7'ish tables and bar seating. The owner and staff greeted most customers by name and knew their drink preferences already. Great first impression. Serving sizes are HUGE. No duds, everything was delicious. The coffee is fresh and spot on. The standout dish was the waffles. They are next level. They had a sweet little crunchy finish. Apparently it's their secret (I'm guessing a little brown sugar)... either way, they were a hit. Will definitely be back the next time we're in town.

Food is amazing, service is beyond attentive and warm, ambiance is inviting and casual. Restaurant is clean with attention to detail. Coffee is hot and fresh. They don't let your cup empty. The owner is so sweet and walks around giving all the kids lollipops. The pancakes are huge and so tasty. The breakfast sandwich on a croissant is probably one of the best I've ever had. It's huge! The home fries could be a little crispy. I ordered well done and they were in need of a little more time on the flat top. It was busy, so they probably didn't have enough time to wait for my potatoes to be extra crispy. That's my only complaint! I will come again.

Uncle Mike's diner is one of my favorite diners around. I've never had a bad experience here. The place itself is immaculate. The service is impeccable... Always the same girls working friendly... I have been here many times for both breakfast lunch and dinner and every time I come here, everything is cooked perfectly

I'm so excited this place was so packed! Late to the party I guess. I loved the last business in there and was sad to see it go, and I'm thrilled there's Uncle Mikes there now. There was a short line when we arrived, but they pack the place in and the staff is hustling, Quick service, on top of coffee refills, and great food. I loved my Irish Benedict - a nice mellow hollandaise. And I enjoyed my fruit cup - nice variety, Will go again. I doooo wish they had half order omelettes - 4 egg omelette Is a lot.

Uncle Mike's Diner in North Providence was our next stop on our tour for the Rhode Island Food Fights Sandwich Showdown, and it delivered exactly what you want in a neighborhood Greek diner - unpretentious, packed with locals, and serving up seriously good comfort food. Walking in, you're hit with that classic diner atmosphere - bright red tables, checkered paper liners, and the buzz of conversation. The "UNCLE MIKE'S DINER" sign proudly displayed on the wall sets the tone immediately. This isn't trying to be fancy - it's trying to be tasty and satisfy your hunger, and it succeeds. The counter area is where the action happens, with staff hustling behind it while regulars perch on stools, chatting away. There's even a TV showing sports in the background - because what's a diner without a game on? Unlike the old SNL "Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger" skit, they DO have Coke here, not Pepsi, which will provide bonus points in many people's books. Now for the main event - the food. We tried several options for the sandwich competition. First up, I paid for a meatball sub served on a torpedo roll with melted cheese and perfectly cooked steak fries on the side. The meatballs were a genuine highlight - great texture, well-seasoned, and clearly homemade. Nothing frozen or shortcuts here. The Reuben and burger were solid diner fare - exactly what you'd expect from a classic joint like this. They won't blow your mind, but they'll definitely satisfy that comfort food craving. The Reuben had a decent stack of corned beef with the usual suspects, while the burger came with melted cheese and grilled onions on a traditional soft bun. These are the reliable standbys that keep regulars coming back. Where Uncle Mike's really shines is with the sides. The onion rings were exceptional - crispy, not greasy, served in those classic red and white checkered paper liners. The fries, too, hit that perfect balance of crisp exterior and fluffy interior. These aren't afterthoughts; they're worthy companions to the main attractions. Uncle Mike's represents what's getting harder to find these days - an authentic diner that hasn't changed its formula because it doesn't need to. The place was packed with locals, always a good sign. It's the kind of spot where you could become a regular after just a couple visits, with the staff remembering your order. If you're in North Providence and want to enjoy a tried and true diner with lots of friendly people, Uncle Mike's delivers the goods. I'd come back just for those onion rings and the cozy, welcoming vibe.

breakfast with some of my peeps before christmas

Great breakfast this morning and even met Uncle Mike who went to every table, welcoming them, passed out some lollipops and then gifted us each a big portion of his home made rice pudding, which was amazing! it was so friendly and just the whole experience was great! amazing. The portions were huge and they were the best home fries I've ever had! This is our new favorite spot thank you!!!

We love uncle mikes! Service is fast. There's so many options on the menu. The food is delicious. And you get giant portions for the price! The place was very busy when we went (on a Thursday). They have nightly specials and lots of seating. Most recently tried the tuna melt, mozzarella sticks and steak sandwich. The mozzarella sticks were HEAVENLY. My dining buddy didn't love the steak sandwich and also recognized it was a personal preference (she likes thinner slices vs one ribeye). Mikes still gave us a compliment dessert for the trouble! I personally loved the tuna melt.

Cute place that we heard about through the RI Food Fight's Best Sandwich competition. While they do offer breakfast all day, we came for the sandwiches and decided on the French Onion Burger and the Reuben with onion rings. Both sandwiches were excellent. The corned beef was tender, the burger juicy with an abundance of melted cheese and sautéed onions. Looking forward to coming back for breakfast sometime soon.

My husband loves breakfast food so we're always looking for new places to try. Todays adventure brought us to Uncle Mike's Diner where they serve breakfast all day. Today we ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, a ham, egg, and cheese on a crossant, the Irish Benedict, and a grilled cheese and fries. The food was good classic diner style plates and the service was friendly. My husband raved about his ham, egg, and cheese croissant and rated it 10/10 and the kids cleaned their plates. Uncle Mike's for the win!

Uncle Mike's Diner in North Providence is a vibe and a half! It's got that classic red and white diner palette, and the staff is super friendly. I tried their home fries, and they were a pleasant surprise. They're not the crispy kind, but they're fluffy and filling. The chocolate chip pancake was huge, fluffy, and loaded with chocolate chips. Definitely a good choice if you're really hungry. Their grilled cheese is *chef's kiss*! The prices are quite reasonable as well.

The vibes of CRU are immaculate. Retro, friendly, comforting, & suave. The quality of food to price of food ratio is inspiring - I love a heaping salad with seasonal fruits & vegetables for just $8. Most of the menu can be made gluten-free, which brings a tear to my eye. Don't sleep on the pan-fried turnip cake. Sounds strange, right? I crave it constantly. They ended up giving us free brownies and free orange juice to make up for their mistake (maybe forgot to put our order in?), but still maybe could've gotten a comp for one of our dishes that we had already ordered instead of new dishes we didn't need. I'm grateful don't get me wrong just.... The food was delicious though. I'm not a huge biscuit person but the biscuit was yummy and flaky which I feel like is different from normal ones? Idk regardless was good and it came with grapefruit jam and butter yum. The hash browns were hands down my fav dish. So oily and crispy and everything a hash brown should be MMMM plus the aioli and cubed presentation. The pancakes were so good and fluffy and GIANT and the whipped butter was yummy on top. The maitake madame was something different but nonetheless good. It was very mustardy but also not too overwhelmingly mustardy and the cheese on top the crispy bread was perfect. All in all the food was superb but the long wait time is what ultimately brought this rating down. The place was also very crowded and lively up until closing, no doubt due to the delicious food
