[[HIGHLIGHT]]Classic dinner place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dinner is small with a few booths and counter seating, but they turnover the booths quickly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We sat at the counter and were served quickly. The waitress was quick and very sweet, great disposition. My girlfriend had a ham, egg and cheese sandwich in an English muffin. I had a grilled cheese with bacon and tomatoes. It was classic diner breakfast and we loved it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at the counter and met a few locals and had fun with them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If the locals done hear them you know it is good.

True classics never go out of style. A providence institution through and through. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No frills breakfast, fair price, perfect old school diner vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If seaplane diner ever has no one left that loves it, that means I'm dead in the cold cold ground

    Hot. And fresh.

Require modern surroundings? WiFi? TVs behind the counter? Uniformed servers? Keep driving. Happy with terrific food and friendly service? This is your place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A wonderful diner. Just perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Located on the side of a lonely road and east to miss. Plenty of parking on the side and lots of regulars inside. A very comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. And I'm pretty sure I saw Jack Reacher sitting by himself in a booth with a steaming pot of coffee in front of him...

The linguica was cooked very well and they didn't just put the peppers and onions on top without them being cooked. My eggs was cooked over medium with no white running and it hard to get them cooked right. Thanks to the service of Roberta everything was cooked the way I like it and she made sure my linguica was not undercooked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is an old seaplane and an old diner mixed together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A lot of the waterfront employees go here for breakfast so it's a very casual atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be back it's well worth your money.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Step back in time when you enter the Seaplane Diner in Providence, RI. This classic New England-style diner offers breakfast all day, along with a unique twist: a model seaplane perched on the roof.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's not a gimmick, but a nod to the seaplanes that once landed on the working river across the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vintage jukeboxes at every booth complete the authentic, nostalgic vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The mushroom omelet was cooked to perfection and served with fresh red-potato home fries and multigrain toast. Coffee was classic diner fare. The massive Rodeo Burger came on a soft roll, topped with cheese, bacon, and onion rings, with a side of perfectly mashed red potatoes that tasted homemade. Our server, Stephanie, was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and clearly someone who enjoys what she does. Her positive energy made the entire experience better.

Happy Saturday Everyone!!!! My weekly review of somewhere to eat! For some reason I woke up earlier then I do and found myself scrolling in the Yelp app looking for a place and then I found this cool diner which I remember during my clubbing days! Seaplane Diner! I don't remember much about this place except for the cool seaplane on the roof which was still there! I flew over the bridge from Riverside and grabbed a parking spot in the back ( parking is tight but manageable). Took some pics of outside and headed in. I looked around and was going to sit at the counter and I asked the very polite wait staff if I could grab a booth (was just me) and I kind got the vibe of not really but they asked if I wanted to sit at a small table in the corner which I said sure no problem. They came back after a couple minutes and asked if I wanted coffee at which I said just ice water please, they then asked if I was ready to order, I asked them to give me a couple minutes. Looking over the menu which seemed like a standard diner menu I settled for ( shocker here) the Eggs Benedict with a side of corn beef hash. The wait staff came back and took my order. I think I waited about 6 minutes. Here comes my pipping hot food. It was literally steaming. On to the review! - Ice water, standard water with ice in it, in a red clear clean cup. Providence tap water I assume so it wasn't the best tasting. - Side of corn beef hash, super pipping hot, had a nice crispy outside texture with the standard melt in your mouth in side texture. Maybe didn't seem homemade so nothing really that special. - Eggs Benedict, What happened to the Hollandaise sauce, watery and pale in color, not much taste at all. The eggs were poached well, the ham really had no flavor and the English muffins were kind of soggy. :-( thank heaven for Franks hot sauce! I was bummed out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall they had great service and everything was super clean. I really enjoyed the diner vibe and the wait staff![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be returning in the future to give them another shot!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Returned after a year for breakfast as we were in the area. A quintessential dinner still picturesque and unchanged. The inside remains original. Back in time and design. A pleasant place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although a weekday it was full of young and older people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered hearty meals -various eggs, fries and a side order of pancakes. And coffees. The helpings were large and we took some of the food home. Our server, Stephanie, was cheerfully attentive. The bill was very reasonable, under $20 per person. The four stars are for informal eating houses within this category. We will return sooner than later.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing decor!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is a simple and small dinner but definitely better than a lot of restaurants in Boston. Even for a less than $10 pasta, the sauce was very fresh and the pasta was perfectly cooked. I loved their burger as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathroom is very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is always beyond friendly and fast!! The lady remembered our order from previous time. It is my favorite dinner in New England, and I will always, always, always go back!!

Huge breakfast portions that's affordable and tasty! They give generous and balanced portions of carbs and proteins. What I love is that none of the dishes were greasy or too heavy. Everything was clean and cooked well. We had a big party and our server got our order right down to the T! Overall, the photos speak for themselves. The food is great and the service is welcoming.

Perfectly warm, fluffy, tasty pancakes. The prices here are so affordable. I got 3 buttermilk pancakes for $8.30 (w/ tax). They were pretty large and had a good thickness. Friendly staff and quick. My pancakes were ready in 4 minutes after ordering.

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

The frosting was incredible though. That stuff could go on anything. The cinnamon buns at Oak Bakeshop and Whole Foods are much better with those typical gooey layers inside. Also, it was not large in size, anyone can eat it in one sitting. The worker who took my order was very friendly and it is so nice/comfortable inside there.

Service was friendly & helpful, and the menu offers many delicious sounding options. Food is fast casual style (order at the counter, get a card - here all were west side street signs, not the usual numbered placards, food will be delivered to your table. I had the avocado shakshuka, my husband had the lox omelet (see the photo). Despite the large menu of fancy coffee options, we each had a basic iced. It was served in a glass, which was a nice touch. Self serve milk was at a station in the dining room area. Coffee was good, cold but I would have traded some coffee for a bit more ice to stay that way as I drank it slowly. Both of us were surprised when our meals were delivered: the plates were beaut! In particular his omelet was absolutely gorgeous! Now for the flavors: the omelet had a generous helping of perfect cooked eggs (not sitting in a pile of grease, as restaurant omelets frequently are). It was so fluffy that we both thought "that's way more than the advertised 3 eggs," and the lox was thickly layered whole slices nestled inside the fold. Most places chop the lox like vegetables, add it to the eggs, & make it like a veggie omelet - meh. This iteration was perfect; the lox tasted like smoked salty fish, losing none of that flavor to the omelet itself. The potatoes? Fabulous! Great spice mix, cooked until they were crispy. That was a tasty bit of marble rye toast too. My shakshuka was very good, but a bit less successful. The elements were all excellent; the avocado was actually guacamole since it was mashed & there were tomatoes and spices in the dish. The combination worked, except for the bread element. The dish as presented was really more of an avocado toast with shakshuka on top. It might have been more successful to add the avocado/guacamole as a unique base on the plate, with the tomato sauce and eggs on top with toast on the side (as is the way shakshuka is traditionally served) because halfway through the bread got really soggy & less appetizing. Still, the first few bites, while everything was still warm? So good!

For the RI food fights challenge, they were serving a CRU Cookie Blazer--an iced dirty chai latte with hazelnut and vanilla syrup, vanilla cold foam, Oreos, and CRU mocha sauce. It's not normally on their menu, but they'll happily make it if you ask! This one was definitely more of a sweet treat than the bold coffee flavor I usually gravitate toward, but if you love dessert-inspired coffee drinks, this is right up your alley. I'll definitely be back because that lobster avocado toast has my name written all over it.

Super flaky and a lot of delicious flavor from the filling and garnishes. It was very busy when I stopped by midday. There is a parking lot in the back, but I was not sure if it was for the café or apartments downstairs, so I just found street parking nearby. The inside gave me Spaniard vibes because of the cream, smooth walls and dark wooden accents. The following were the two things that instantly caught my attention when I walked in: They have merchandise on display for sale and it seems like high quality material and they had a vehicle made of croissants on display, maybe about 1.5 ft x 1 ft x 6 inches. They have their pastries on display which helps visualize what you're getting before buying it. They are unique and big in size. Their drink menu is good and includes a mix of teas (including matcha) and coffee. I went with the bee latte which was supposed to have honey, cardamom, and cayenne. I was interested in seeing how sweet, herbal/minty, and spicy would taste together. I was also [easily] self-convinced into getting a Za'atar croissant. After our order came out, we walked outside and sat at their patio area which has about 5-6 tables enough for two people each. The latte was good. I appreciated how it was not sweet, but I did think the cardamom was too subtle. It seemed like the cayenne was powder just sprinkled on top and I might've inhaled half of it on my first sip, so I was dying a bit. The Za'atar croissant was given to us in a brown paper box with the outside of their building drawn onto it. Since we asked for it toasted, it was warm and extra crispy/flaky on top. It was flat (about 1 inch thick) and about 6 inches in diameter, so big enough to share if you're just interested in a light snack. The inside of every swirl was packed with olive oil, middle eastern herbs, and lots of sesame seeds. Although it may take away from the traditional flavors and way of eating it, I wish it came with something to dip it into like whipped cream cheese or smashed olives. Nonetheless, it was delicious. On weekends, they have a laptop free policy which I think it good to allow for more people to enjoy, rather than people taking up tables for a while to do work.
