Eggs home fries and sausage I guess

This food was so gross. Brown and serve sausage burnt eggs forgot my cheese under cook bacon. I didn't take a picture I got mad and just threw the food away. I wasted money on this place. I will never eat in or order out from here again. I'm really disappointed.

My eggs are supposed to be sunny side up ??

Our first time visiting today. Menu was good sized and fairly priced. The French toast was delicious. Our waitress was friendly and kept up with all the tables. Loved the bacon being crispy and the sausage links being perfectly grilled. They offer cans of soda with many flavors to choose from. My hubby loved the coffee milk and my stepson enjoyed his milkshake. We all left stuffed for $38 before tip. Will definitely return with it being down the street from our new house.

This place is adorable. Staff is fantastic. Good food, quick service, casual environment. Can't go wrong with a good old fashioned diner. These guys are amazing!!! Please come by and give this place a chance.

SCORE!! Sorry for the sports reference, but this place is definitely a homerun! The other reviewers who gave them a one star and said their portions were small are nuts!!! The portions are medium to large and the prices are super cheap!! This is a diner and the food is exactly that, simple, tasty and fun. They even made a custom grinder for us. We ordered 7 things and the bill was under $30!! We were touring Brown University and wanted to checkout an old school diner. We took an Uber (thank you Rawl) from BU and arrived at this cute little diner on Douglas Ave in North Providence. You could tell the diner had been owned by many generations of the same family. They had different dishes named after family members and friends. The place had so many tasty treats that we just kept ordering, lol!! We had a bowl of clam chowder, an egg white omelette, Fish and chips with tomato sauce, a waffle, a side of bacon and a bunch of cookies and took an Italian sub back to our hotel room! We could have had more, but we were entering into what seemed to be the first stages of a food coma. This was the perfect way to wrap up our east coast trip. Thank you Amanda and your dad for such a great experience. We wish we could pick up your restaurant and move it to Palos Verdes.

Love this place! Mario is so nice, after you come in a few times he'll remember what you like to drink... and if you're like me he'll also remember that you always order the Rhody Sunrise (because it is AMAZING). A real neighborhood place, lots of regulars. They even take credit cards! What are you waiting for?

Walked into a cozy cute very busy restaurant, greeted within two minutes, took our Beverage order and was off, They specialize in bloody Mary's mimosas as well as special coffees very nice, back in three minutes with the drinks, taking the order and she was off I must say the waitress is very nice very polite and very efficient! that being said within 10 minutes. The main courses arrived looking fantastic. I didn't post any pictures this time cause looking at the plates from the reviews on Yelp it's basic eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes on a plate no special garnishes so I apologize in advance for that however, the food was fantastic. Everything was hot. My only gripe was being from Rhode Island and the Portuguese community being very relevant here they serve Portuguese chorizo and my wife ordered this and it was quite dry not juicy at all. That was a bummer coming from Florida, You can't get it! everything else was phenomenal I must say this was a great experience and if you're ever in the area for a great breakfast and you want to stay away from the chain restaurants that serve breakfast check out The Rhody you won't be disappointed I have spoken...

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

It feels like her place in the best way -- warm, proud, hands-on. Pastries are legit. Super buttery, flaky enough to make a mess, clearly baked that morning. No sad, sitting-around-all-day vibes. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and that tomato jam needs to be illegal. Sweet, savory, slightly tangy -- it completely makes the sandwich. I kept trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. Not happening. Crispy chicken sandwich was properly seasoned and not dried out (why is that so hard for some places?). Fries were solid too -- crispy, not limp. And the kale salad with roasted chickpeas and chicken made me feel like I had my life together. Fresh, simple, and actually satisfying. It's one of those places you stumble into while traveling and then immediately start googling whether you can justify going back the next day.

All to say, this place is very popular. I was a fan of the minimalist interior design with some wood accents, neutral colors, some overheard lights, natural lighting coming through, and the black ceiling. My friend ordered a mimosa and since I don't drink, he requested the waiter to have the bartender make me something non-alcoholic. He was really considerate and asked if I wanted something bitter, sweet, fruity etc. and if I am opposed to any fruit flavors since I picked fruit - I felt heard. He came back with something that tasted citrusy and maybe some pear in there. It wasn't anything too unique, but it was the thought that counts. The menu is unique in that there's one of everything you'd imagine would be on a brunch / breakfast menu. There aren't variations of anything. Since it was my first time there, I went with the classic ($18). It brought eggs, bacon, sausage, croissant, and home fries. Instead of home fries, I asked for truffle fries instead. After about 15-20 minutes, the food came out. My eggs were cooked perfectly. I think I had higher expectations from the croissant, so I was a little disappointed. I thought it would be cut in half and toasted to a crispy perfection but it was definitely store bought, toasted as a whole, and a little dry. The sausage and bacon were really good. The sausage was thick, juicy, a hint of spice, and great in flavor. The bacon was thick cut, savory, and crispy. I am glad I asked for truffle fries. They were crispy and hot. Our waiter was great throughout and the restaurant is clean and inviting. In the summer I do think they have tables outside. Parking can be tricky, especially on weekends but luckily there are many side streets.

Our waitress was very friendly and checked in regularly. Street parking only but it's not too challenging to find a spot. The food was tasty, it seems like they have their savory dishes in lock but their sweet plates are just ok. I got the focaccia CBR, which was good. The focaccia was herby and chewy but I'm not sure I would call it a fococcia. My friend got the breakfast burrito and said it was excellent! My husband got the short rib benedict and it was SO good, however I recommend finding someone to split that and another dish with as the flavor gets to be a lot for a whole dish. The last person got the s'mores French toast and felt it was just ok. The coffees looked better than they tasted, perhaps the cocktail versions are better.

Luckily it was warm and sunny so we just chatted in the courtyard as we waited for our table. The owner (Chef Armando) was friendly (at first ) apologized profusely, and gave us each a free mimosa for waiting. If they have a scheduled Majhong party, I'm not sure why they bother taking reservations since it's very small inside. I'm sure the ladies in this Majhong party more than make up for not taking any other customers with all the drinks and food that was ordered. Once our table was ready, we were seated inside near the door that leads to the basement. It was really loud inside (due to the Majhong party) but we didn't really care because we were hungry. It was a pre-fixe brunch so the owner (Armando) came over with menus and when it came time to take our order he actually sat down at the table with us. Before he took our order, he was talking to us and trying to be a part of our conversation. It was odd but I wrote it off as he was tired and needed a minute. Our starters came fairly quickly, we got the fried zucchini blossom, misto board, and prosciutto and melon. Everyone really enjoyed their starters and we had high expectations for the rest of brunch. The time came to take our main dish order and again Armando sat down with us. He took our order and proceeded to chat with us some more. Our food was served. Two of us got the Porchetta( he raved about) and the other ordered the steak omelet. Armando sat down with us yet again. He started to complain about how tired he was, how annoying and stupid brunch was, and how annoying other customers were. I was surprised by this conversation because we do not know Armando and had never met him before. He asked how our food was and acknowledged we probably didn't even eat yet because he was sitting with us. He kept lamenting and we started to eat. Honestly, the food was okay. We both thought the porchetta was dry. It was close to closing time, so it's possible that the Porchetta were end cuts and had been sitting out under a heat lamp or in a low temperature stove. The person who ordered the omelet really enjoyed it and the toast points were really yummy. I could of probably eaten a basket of the toast with butter and been completely satisfied. After we were done with our meal, Amando sat down with us and started scrolling through his phone and talking to us. He told us they were out of everything for dessert except the tiramisu. He told the other man who worked there (I believe his name was Mario) to get our desserts and continued to sit with us. Mario brought out desserts - and to our surprise there was a small cannoli , lemon cake, and tiramisu on a tray to choose from. All the desserts were personal sized which was perfect after the large brunch we all had. I ate the cannoli and the shell was crispy and the pastry cream was good. Everyone else noted that the desserts were freshly made and really delicious. Brunch went downhill really fast when as we were eating dessert, Mario came up to our table and was just standing there staring at us. Amando was still sitting at our table talking to us. My friend asked if he needed something from us and he just stood there smiling. He reached for my arm and started caressing and slowly massaging it. My mouth was full so I couldn't say anything but I was so uncomfortable. I yanked my arm away, and he walked away before I could say anything. At this point I was beyond fed-up but I didn't want to cause a scene in the restaurant since it was filled with the Majhong party. The other people in my party were stunned and speechless. I asked for the check, we paid, and quickly left. When we were outside, my friends asked if I was okay and I was just still in shock so I said I was fine. They said that Mario had been staring at them from the kitchen the entire time and it made them feel uncomfortable. I told them they should of said something and we could of left after our starters. I doubt Mario or Amando would of pulled any of this non-sense if we were with our male significant others. I grew up in the kitchen industry. Someone in my family is a chef. They worked all over the Mass and RI in some of the most highly rated kitchens with other highly awarded chefs and I have NEVER seen or heard about this type of behavior. Armando crossed the line of unprofessionalism multiple times. A chef never comes out of the kitchen to sit with customers unless they are asked to or know the party. If a chef does sit with a party, it is brief because they are needed in the kitchen. If Armando was bored, he should of kept busy in the kitchen by cleaning or prepping for dinner. Mario is creepy and should not be interacting with the public if he cannot keep his hands to himself. I wish Armando the best - but I in good conscience can not recommend this restaurant.
