We tried this place for the first time 7/5/2026! It was pretty packed as not much was open the day after the fourth - we waited about 5 minutes to sit, and were seated at the diner bar! We were attended to quickly. The iced coffee was yummy, and the waitresses were nice! Both my boyfriend and I got the hungry man breakfast special - it came out pretty quickly, and was delicious. Some of the best eggs I've had in a long time!!! The home fries were great too. We will definitely be back! Nice diner with a good vibe. read more

Staff was great as was the food. The manager was the issue. She was rude. She came to me and gave me a wet paper towel to clean the floor under my table because my 15 month old son dropped some food on the floor. I was going to clean it up, but she acted like there was a massive amount of food on the floor. Then when my stepmother said she was rude she raised her voice in front of restaurant full of customers. Will not be going back there again read more

1/19/25. Today their excuse was they were short a busser and no Manager. So tables sat empty and were not cleaned and patrons waited for no reason. The food was good and came out nice and hot. Nice brunch spot for the COVID-19 era! I have eaten inside (good spacing and staff are all wearing masks) as well as outside in their patio. Omelets are yummy! And the food comes out very quickly. Not sure why I was such a grumpy little B four years ago when I first reviewed this diner! This is my favorite diner. We drive past 2 others just to make this our regular place! The waitresses are so nice and so kind. The price is good. Usually I can make it early enough so that I don't wait, but if it's busy they do have a back room with some extra tables them open up. Well I've been 3 times now so I think I can give a little review. They have a decent sized restaurant in a little strip mall with very limited parking. 5 or 6 cars in front and the rest where they fit. We walked in this morning and the whole diner smelled like pot smoke. Wow! We sat down, and the two guys next to us absolutely reeked of smoke. They were laughing and snorting and waiting for breakfast. Ah, the morning entertainment. I have had breakfast and lunch. Prices are reasonable. Portions are average. Service is good. Waitresses are friendly. I have seen them and kitchen staff out talking with the customers. Eggs, home fries, toast, a cheese omlette, turkey club, hamburger... everything average, reasonably priced. Not uber impressed, but I would certainly add them to the breakfast rotation. read more

Even have mimosas, bloody Mary's, and other libations for those so inclined. But, it's a diner not a bar. PS. Their fish and chips are one of the best in city. Came here on a Friday morning, on my way to a doctor's appointment nearby. This diner is tucked in the back of a rather small parking lot that shares several businesses, so parking is very limited. I had to park next to a lawyer's office, and was worried about getting towed, so as soon as I saw a space in front the of diner open up, I went and moved my truck. Inside, the space is clean, and contains a half-dozen booths, a few tables, and small counter, which is where I sat, and was promptly offered coffee. I ordered a simple breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage and toast. Food came out in a timely manner. I'd say the overall portion was average, although the amount of bacon and sausage was skimpy. Eggs were just slightly overcooked, but the bacon was perfectly done, as were the home fries. Sausage was disappointing. Originally, I was going to give them a 3-star rating, but it was the lone waitresses' exceptional service that led me to increase my rating. From overhearing conversation between the waitress and head cook, it became apparent that there was supposed to have been a second waitress, who was running late. Still, this one waitress was able to serve the entire diner (which was near full capacity when I arrived), with no noticeable breakdown of service, and furthermore, she maintained a cheerful, positive attitude. I also saw the head cook come out to the dining room to shim a rocking table that a customer was complaining about. So while the food was mostly decent, and service exceptional, the difficult parking situation prevented me from joining the several 5-star reviews this business garnered. read more

There was 2 small chunks of slightly undercooked squash, one link of sausage and a slice of unmelted orange cheddar. The best part was the home fries. This morning I just needed a diner experience. And I had a great one. The coffee was hot and satisfying and the wait staff friendly and generous with smiles. The simple ingenuity of this waffle was what took me aback-- I've been here before and it's fine. But today-- they tried something new- and it is delightful. This is a clean diner. It is small-- and located in a demanding section of Rumford who expect it to be the same as it "once was" by previous owners. But I didn't care that much for it then-- I like it now. Someone is taking the time to invent tasty hot somethings-- and that garners 3.5 stars from me. I bumped up because after this morning, just can't bump down. Thank you, Broadway Diner-- I see you. Service was extremely horrible with waitress Kristen. She spent more time on her phone making calls than servicing her 4 tables. I had to wait and let my food get cold in order for her to finish her call. I don't expect excellent service at small diners but this was beyond unacceptable. By far, the absolute worst abortion of "strawberry stuffed french toast" I've ever witnessed. The picture says it all. For $6.99, you get 2 slices of Texas Toast, lightly lathered in egg yolks, with a cream cheese mix slapped in between the two pieces of bread, nothing "stuffed" whatsoever. None of the strawberry pieces were ripe, and the Texas Toast wasn't ever cooked. Then, to top it all off, very heavy cinnamon across the mess. For diners, this is definitely much nicer looking. They have really nice black booths that look new and a nice bar seating area. The waitress was really friendly and seems to have known a lot of the regulars in there. They also open at 6am during the week which is perfect for a nice breakfast date before going into work. Lots of specials listed however, the one special I wanted (egg sandwich on Portuguese bread with asparagus and other veggies) I was unable to get bc they were out of the bread and asparagus. Not sure why they didn't just draw a line through it on the specials or tell us when we sat. I ordered the veggie omelet instead and I have to say, the potatoes were very flavorful and cooked well and the Italian bread was nicely toasted. But the omelet was very dry, not sure if there was too much egg or not cooked in enough oil. I doused it with ketchup which helped a little bit. The pouched eggs Benedict with chorizo was good but the pouched eggs were hard, usually when you break into them they ooze a little, this was cooked solid. So I think the concept here of a higher class diner is great but unfortunately they missed the marked with the staple items. read more

Great spot for breakfast and lunch. The chorizo is delicious and cooked to perfection. I also had the cranberry walnut pancakes were excellent. My husband had the works omelette which he enjoyed and good value. The staff is second to none, the owner Tony is the best! We haven't been here in quite a while. Probably since my last review. We wanted to go out to breakfast this morning, and wanted to go some place quick and fairly decent. Unfortunately we didn't get that here. They always greet you with a smile, they ushered us to the booth in the back, everything was fine. We had a waitress we had once before, someone I recognized as not being great. Oh well - let's give her the benefit of the doubt, right? We waited a good 10 minutes for her to come by and just take our coffee order (we already knew what we wanted for food but unfortunately she ran away too quickly for us to give her that). She flirted with a few of her tables and finally brought over the coffee. She took our order (finally) and then went to the table across from us and took their order too. She refilled the other table's coffees, finally asked if we wanted ours refilled, and then the table across from us got their food, ate it, finished it, paid their bill, and left. But guess what?? We STILL didn't have our food. The waitress claimed that the kitchen was really slow, but I have trouble believing that, given that so many tables got their food so quickly while we sat there waiting with two increasingly fussy children. Our food did finally come out. My daughter's blueberry pancake had so many blueberries in it that she didn't want to eat it. My husband's hash had a huge piece of solid ham in it that he pulled out of his mouth (it was inedible) and he said it tasted like pickles. Almost as if it was pre-made, stored next to pickles, and then reheated. My chourizo hash was so greasy it was just gross. Needless to say, we stopped at Dunkin' on the way home and we have no plans of returning any time soon. Or ever. It's a real shame because they have a great location and they are always full up with customers. Too bad their service is horrible and the kitchen isn't much better. read more

We had breakfast here on a whim after another place was closed for moving. It was delicious and very fresh! I recommend the iced coffee and my boyfriend had the iced tea! For our breakfast we tried the bacon and avocado Benedict and the eggs were perfectly poached and tasty! My Mom had the stuffed French Toast which was done with peanut butter, strawberries and bananas! Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable and the chef came to make sure we enjoyed our food. Broadway Diner is a great little breakfast spot! The diner is clean and cozy, and the food is freshly made to order. I've tried a little bit of everything in terms of their breakfast fare - sweet and savory. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious and the home fries are seasoned to perfection. The pancakes hit the spot, too! For coffee, they use Downeast Coffee (out of Pawtucket) and it's the best! There's usually a short wait on the weekends but never anything too long. Their front parking lot can fill up fast but they do have additional spaces in the back of the building. Broadway Diner is a lovely breakfast joint with friendly service and fresh food. read more
