This review is for Moving Dough Pizza. I have not had the opportunity to visit the restaurant itself yet, but I hope to try it soon. The pizza is prepared in a food trailer behind the restaurant. Hence the name, "Moving Dough." Parking is tight, so I suggest parking on Waterman Avenue and walking around to the back of the restaurant, where the trailer is located. I went with a simple cheese pizza and a pepperoni, pepper, and olive pie, both of which were excellent. Both were cooked perfectly, crisp but not burnt. Considering the quality of the pies and add-ons, the price was very fair. I'm eager to try the restaurant. read more

This is a great sports bar that offers great food options and drinks including vegetarian options. They have special drink and food nights and the servers wait all tables. This is in a great location and looks like it's only off street parking. Truly a local spot. I look forward to going back. read more

It took me about 4 times coming to The Local before I started to really like it. First time visiting we received the wrong food twice. Second time, the service wasn't particularly good. What has been the best solution is to sit at the bar if you can. The food is simple but very good. The draft list, although limited is also good. The cocktails can be fun & seasonal & filled with flavor. There is also a unique ticker tape to show off live scores & sports updates. There is also many TVs throughout the area making it great spot to catch a game including a couch & an intimate outdoor area (also with a TV). read more

Ambiance: good place to watch the game, they even have a couch, but very loud during the games Seating, all high top, outside of the couch, uncomfortable. They also have benches outside on a covered patio Service: friendly, semi attentive, it was busy Parking: street & VERY limited. There are maybe 4 spots off street Food: ranch is so good, wings were okay, couldn't really taste the lemon though. Liked the Mya pizza, decent size, fig was good. read more

Love this place! I usually go about 8 times per year. It is a good atmosphere to watch sports. That have many TVs through the place and they always put the game on that I asked last for. Their pizzas are delicious and the sandwiches are great. The food doesn't take either. Beer tower is the best bag for buck, average if 4 dollars a beer. read more

Good Food Short review, only got to stop in for a quick drink and split a sandwich. Place was hosting a large birthday party and was closed to the public that night. Nice, friendly, good looking bartenders serving a good drink and the sandwich was home made, very fresh. Smaller quaint place with a comfortable setup. We'll be back and I will embellish more on this review. Thanks read more

Was excited that DoorDash would deliver to us in Attleboro. We ordered a Rhody Flip pizza that was a special (think bakery pizza but elevated), plant-based burger with a side of fries and a side of onion rings with a side of their homemade ranch. Wow! I was surprised at how delicious everything was as sometimes with delivery, the food isn't as good as it would be hot and fresh out the kitchen. We loved everything. The pizza dough was amazing and the sauce was generous and yummy. I had the plant-based burger the next day. It was huge (2 meals worth) and did not have me missing the beef vat all. Will definitely order this again and we want to try more of the pizzas! read more

Definitely an asset to East Providence. Interior is nice as is the staff who showed me to the take out building. Everybody was friendly and efficient. The pizza by Moving Dough is solid. Definitely fresh dough, sauce, cheese and basil for their margarita. Their burger and fries are also tasty and fresh. Definitely makes me to sit down and dine. Website is fine. I would just add a space for other notes. read more

I've heard great things about this place and I live so close; I'm ashamed to say I JUST made it here. First- the SERVICE. The waitress who was also the bartender at the bar did an amazing job. She was very knowledgable about the menu and even catered to my crazy request (salt and vinegar dry rub on the side for my boneless wings) The drinks were yummy, (affordable) and the music they played was perfect. My friend and I decided we will be coming back for a night out for sure. It's very clean inside, kinda small but large enough to not feel ontop of one another. The food was really yummy. My friend and I ordered the loaded tots, mozz sticks and boneless "chunks" (nuggets). All very scrumptious and all reasonably priced. The only downfall is the parking but we parked on the main road and if that's the only complaint- then this place is worth returning to! read more

STAY AWAY!!!' I ordered a Tossed salad. How can you screw that up? I got a bowl full of lettuce and one tomato and a sliver of red onion It was the worst salad I ever had in my entire life. They should be ashamed of themselves to even have to serve this to a customer, but they get away with it because it's takeout. I will never waste my money in this restaurant ever again and I will make sure I tell all my friends about it. Stay away. It's a rip off. read more

My family and I went to The Local to have a quick bite before getting back to MA. I have been to many dive bars in my time. But this one really had a pleasant atmosphere. There are sports jerseys everywhere, and they are signed! The bartenders/ waitresses were very polite and welcoming. The food was delicious! We had the Sliders, the parm sub and the chicken cutlet club. We enjoyed the food so much, I asked our waitress to tell cooks it was yummy! I would definitely recommend The Local as place to try if you are in Providence! read more

Great sports bar with many screens so you can easily see your game from any seat. They had plenty of seats at the bar, high top tables, standard tables, and an outdoor space with even more tvs! We arrived at the end of a live music set, which was good but very loud for how small the space is. Overall, loud is definitely one of the main descriptors I would use for The Local. We had to nearly shout at each other from across the table. The other descriptors I would use are well priced and delicious. They have tons of great specials - we got the 50 cent wings since it was after 7pm, and they were so tender and well flavored. I also got a Rodeo burger, which was very tasty and still tasted good leftover. They have a diversity of seasonal drinks that are cheaper than expected but the size of the drink sort of evens out the price. Overall, definitely will be back for watching some sports and eating delicious wings. read more

Went to an event in the area and we were looking for food afterwards. We stumbled upon this restaurant and thought we'd give it a try. We arrived about an hour before the kitchen closed and were nervous that it's shut down early but it didn't. Instead, the bartender/waitress Tracy had a greeted us so warm and welcoming. She went above and beyond her roll to ensure that we were feed as soon as possible without compromising on the quality. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very clean sport bar. It was very welcoming as well. The food was absolutely delicious and arrived steaming hot, just the way that I like it. I wish this restaurant was closer to my house because I would be a regular there. Upon talking with Tracy we learned that the restaurant had only been open for 2 years. If it continues to focus on the food quality and flavors, maintain the level of cleanliness and customer service I forsee this being a very successful business. I will definitely make the drive back there to eat. Side note - my brother also got the chicken sandwich and liked it so much he ordered a second one Another note - the food quality to price ratio (something I really care about when I go to a restaurant) was awesome. The meal was affordable and delicious read more

Very good bar food . Great place if the right bartender is working ! The only negatives is the ghost wings and Nashville hot aren't spicy a bit like we wanted and the bartender hardly came to our table she was busy talking . Its a nice sports bar , but they didn't turn the volume up so we could hear the playoff game ?????? read more

The pizza is a solid "good," really didn't love the pepperoni with the honey. The crust is good, almost tastes like a sourdough (I don't think it is though) and the pesto pizza was very good. Not a huge fan of the inside but we'd get take out again in a bind. read more

Stopped in for lunch during the week. The bar was mostly full, but we managed to snag a couple seats. Happily they have bag hooks for your purse by some of the seats. The bartender and a cook were the only two staff on duty. The kitchen is open to the bar area and the gentleman in there was methodically plodding along cooking for current customers and prepping for the evening crowd. Constant motion. The bartender was chatting with customers. We received menus as soon as we sat down. There is a full bar and a few beers on tap. The menu is hearty pub food. My SO chose their 3 sliders. He enjoyed them all very much. My 'philly phily' was very filling and tasty. I upgraded my side to onion rings and they were nice slices of battered onion. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is solid and they have a huge TV and a couple of sofas for game days. There are two 'single' restrooms. On street parking is not metered. read more

Some of the best pizza in East Providence. A much-needed addition in an otherwise barren landscape where pizzas are traditionally sentenced to death without mercy. Decent beer selection; nothing crazy. If you like sports, they have countless screens and quite a few couches to sit on. read more

6/20/25. We stopped in to share a Philly Philly and a couple of beers, the place was about a third full. The food (cheesesteak/onion rings) came out too hot, to the point of just about burning your mouth! Be careful! The Service was fine. The acoustics are not good as it got uncomfortably loud when partially full! 3.5 stars. Would return with some reservations. read more

Food was very good The service not so good The place wasn't very busy but still not once were we asked how our food was or if we wanted a 2nd round of drinks. It was very disappointing as we were looking forward to meeting up and hanging out. The service put a big dump on that idea. read more

Amanda, our bar tender-could not have been bothered with our presence...even announcing that is was our first time. Amanda made drinks that were all ice -no liquor -all mixer- disgusting. No bath rooms-had to go outside to a urinal-she told us pipes frozen-should have been closed. Ignored us even went we went directly to her..... she just kept slicing limes. My recommendation-never go there unless you enjoy subpar drinks and lousy service. read more

I visited The Local for the second time today. I was super impressed with the food and service both times! Laid back atmosphere and can't wait to go back. I love that they're now serving Moving Dough Pizza too! Icing on the cake! read more

Food is always consistent. Staff are great. The addition of moving dough was a home run idea!

I had food delivered twice and found similar issues each time. Though it was well cooked with great portion sizes (definitely looking for more bang for my buck in this economy) both times there were seasoning issues. Fries and onion rings lacked seasoning and only tasted of the oil they were cooked in. One one occasion I ordered a philly and the second I ordered a buffalo chicken grinder. Both times they skimped on the cheese and the sauce, making the sandwiches dry. This turned what could've been a solid B plus meal into a C minus. read more

Great spot to grab some food and a drink. If I were into sports also great spot to hang with friends and watch games service has always been good, staff fast and efficient. Can be loud when sports events are happening, as in play the sound on the TVs not the crowd. read more

The place looks like a hole in the wall when driving by, but let me tell this anything but. The place is spotless, the food is AMAZING and the service was awesome. We will definitely be back, and everyone should make The Local a must visit. Best keep secret in the area, but hopefully not a secret for long. We will be regulars for Sunday cocktail and blt's which happen to best in RI. Btw, everything is freshly made in house and the sauces are all in house recipes. read more

I went to pick up lunch from The Local when I was on my lunch break from work. If it was after work, I would have wanted to eat there. The ambiance is relaxing but also pretty neat with the sports vibes. It would definitely be a cool place to hangout with friends and watch a game while eating lunch. I ordered the Honey Butter Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was amazing! It was a large sandwich that was crispy and flavorful. I am not a huge fan of French fries but theirs were very good. It was not a low calorie meal by any means but in terms of comfort food, I wish I could eat their Honey Butter Fried Chicken Sandwich regularly. Writing about it just makes me want to go over there now and order one. I highly suggest people swinging by to enjoy the great food and ambiance with friends. Found this gem by searching for 'sports bars nearby' and really scored! We are from out of the area and needed a place to enjoy the Saturday noon college game day matches. The comfy couches home basement-like viewing area with ability to watch 3 games at once was a hit. We got here early enough to claim our spot in this friendly, clean and well setup establishment. It was a very well air conditioned place. The guys loved it. With long sleeves, I was good. For food, we got Buff-A-Que wings, turkey Club and crispy chicken club sandwich. All were excellent yet the edging out winner was the wings. Large and meaty to say the least. Some good warmth but not too much. The accompanying ranch was clearly homemade and delicious. The sandwiches were both on a nicely toasted bread with butter, almost grilled cheese like. The tots are highly recommended! Janel was friendly, attentive and on her game.
