The chicken Caesar wrap was one of the best I've had, made even better by their homemade Caesar dressing. The hand-cut French fries were fresh, crispy, and clearly made with care. The wings were absolutely amazing--perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. A special shout-out to Brit, who provided exceptional service throughout our visit. The Lord of the Wings brought me here last night, but it's not my first time at this establishment. When you walk in, it smells like bread baking. A cute hostess area for pickup orders, but we headed to the small dining room and grabbed a table. I ordered garlic Parmesan wings and a meatlovers pub pizza. Our server/bartender was pleasant and attentive the whole time. Our food arrived looking great. The wings were cooked nicely, jumbo sized with super crispy texture and juicy on the inside. The garlic Parmesan was... Interesting. I believe it's a mayo based sauce, similar to an Alabama white BBQ sauce. I could see the appeal in it but it wasn't for me personally. The pizza was great as usual. I love the combination of the toppings on the meatlovers with the sauce. I enjoyed every bite. While I don't need an excuse to come to Grainsley's as it's in my semi regular rotation, I didn't mind the chance to come back sooner than later for some awesome wings and pizza! read more

Ohh what a delightful little hole in the wall. This place is definitely worth more than what they charge. They make all of their food fresh and it taste so good, let me tell you. We started with the mozzarella triangles, the cheese pull was serious! Then the bacon jalapeno pizza and the chicken parmesan sandwich hit the spot. This restaurant is family owned and the first day that I ever tried it happen to be there five year anniversary and they were giving out free cake too! Stopped into Grainsley's for the RI Food Fights pizza challenge and ordered the Taste of Italy pub pizza. This had meatballs, sausage, and ricotta. The service was great. I sat at the bar. I felt very welcomed and bit people behind the bar checked on me and kept my glass filled. The pizza was really good. You have a choice of pub style or NY style. I went with the pub style (I bit thicker and the toppings to the edge). It was very good. The restaurant has tables but the bar is where it's at! I went at dinner time on a Thursday and there were some regulars and some people in for the challenge. The bar is very nice with a granite top. It was clean with an upscale feeling. We've been here a couple of times and the pizza is really good! Last night we got the meat lover's pizza and a build your own pizza with tomatoes, ricotta, and basil. Both pizzas had generous toppings, a crispy crust, and toppings nearly all the way to the edge. We've always gotten the pub style smalls, but someday soon I'd like to try the NY style larges. Last night when we arrived at about 6:30, the bar was hopping, and several of the tables in the dining room were occupied. Our server was also the bartender, and even though she was obviously really busy with both roles, she did an amazing job. Our drink order was taken promptly and the drinks were both delicious - Cranberry Mule and a Toto's & Cran. Our server told us that Wednesdays is half off on wings and that Grainsleys wings ad won awards from RI Food Fights, so we decided we needed to try them. The 1 lb order of buffalo wings included 6 wings with ranch or bleu cheese (we got both) and they lived up to the recommendation! Sauce was delicious - it wasn't just your average Frank's red hot - it had more seasonings and flavor. Atmosphere is really nice and comfortable as well. There are tables near the windows which will seat 4-6, and also a few tables in the center of the dining room that can comfortable fit about 6 as well. In addition to the bar seating, there is also a comfortable couch that would be great for two people enjoying drinks. No fake enthusiasm, no ignoring you until the check comes. Just great hospitality. We got two pies. Meat lovers as a bar pie. Tour of Italy on New York style. They came out together. The bar pie nailed it. Thin with structure. Crispy without turning brittle. The toppings were impressive. Pepperoni brought a bit of heat and a bit of tang. Sausage added fennel and richness. Bacon contributed smoke and salt. As soloists, each one was delicious on its own. But with every bite they worked together as a band, each element complementing the others instead of competing. Tour of Italy shifted the equation. The New York style crust had more body, more chew, good color on the bottom. Those ricotta dollops scattered on top cut through everything with a creamy mildness that balanced the heavier flavors underneath. The sausage and pepperoni played their parts, but the ricotta changed the dynamic entirely. Made it lighter somehow while still being substantial. The ten inch size hits the sweet spot. Big enough to share without turning into a competitive eating situation. Small enough that nobody's tapping out halfway through. Smart call for a pizza crawl like this. Offering both styles shows real confidence. Most places commit to one approach and perfect it. Grainsley's is willing to let you choose and believes they'll execute either one well. That's not overconfidence, it's capability. Four pizzas deep, this spot registers differently. Quality ingredients, kitchen that knows what it's doing, space that lets you relax, and top notch service. They didn't water down their offering for the competition. Good Pizza - Not Bar Pizza Small place, intimate vibe, small bar with some high tables and booths around. We ordered 2 items here wings and pizza. The wings were cooked right (crispy) but had a strange homemade buffalo sauce that we didn't really care for. The second item was a supposed "bah" pizza. Now, I will preface that my wife and I have gone to basically every south shore bar pizza making establishment in Massachusetts. Probably been to over 50 spots and all of the places considered institutions. This is not bar pizza. It is a small regular pizza. The dough is not your typical pie like dough with the laced crunchy edge and fry like consistency of a SSBP. We know this because there is no way to lace the edges of this dough. That is not say that the pizza wasn't good. I thought it was tasty and would order again, but it's not SSBP. Overall, this spot is ok and hope the best from them as a small business to do well. The real shining light here was the service. We were treated extremely well and the young lady that served us was more than attentive. We were greatly appreciative. Decided to go on an impromptu picnic to Conimicut Point Park last night and looked up food in the area. The reviews for this restaurant looked promising, so we opted for the small hot honey pizza and an order of fries. Fries were fresh, pizza was greasy- maybe the pepperoni/ honey combination was the culprit. I would go back a second time to try a different pizza before knocking it. Everything we ate was incredible and their bar pizza is some of the best pizza I've ever eaten! It's not too thin like a flatbread, has a little flop and the dough itself is so tasty because I believe bar pie has some butter in it. For myself, I ate one Taste of Italy pizza $14 and one buffalo chicken $12. Both were delicious and I love the smooth ricotta along with tasty meatball chunks on the Taste of Italy. Then you can't go wrong with buffalo chicken pizza, but I do have to say they needed to put more chicken on it. Taste of Italy had enough meat. My brother got their Angry Hawaiian pizza ($14) and gave me a few slices. The taste was incredible and it wasn't too spicy - the buffalo chicken pizza had more heat to it. My brother also got their Cajun chicken wrap ($13) and his girl got a chicken Caesar wrap ($13). They looked so good, filled well, not dry and weren't too small. They did say they love them. Even after eating them- not my winner. They had the sauce smothered on top. I like a sauce baked into them. They were not as crispy as I like them. Not even at meaty as other places in the competition. I was not blown away by these wings. They were ok. Also, not the best garlic parm sauce. Could be better. The wrap needed more dressing but it was hearty. Chock full. The pizza is the winner here. Bar pie. Could be cooked more. My daughter had a pepperoni pizza. I'm thrilled to have Grainsley's right down my street--yes, it's right in my neighborhood. I've tried to support the two former businesses that occupied this spot, hoping for a neighborhood pizza and bar to unwind in after a stressful workday. Unfortunately, they both disappeared, and in their place now stands Grainsley's. I've become a regular at this place for about two years, drawn in by their enticing promotions like "buy 1 get 1 free cheese pizza or the 50% off appetizers after 8PM" (now over), as well as the friendly and warm service, the generous cocktail servings, and the reasonable price. The wings are delicious and the pizza is fresh. My personal favorite is the Angry Hawaiian. I do wish they had more appetizers, but I understand the kitchen has limitations. Nevertheless, I genuinely like this place. It's cozy and unpretentious. I can truly wind down here, which I have. The servers have become almost friends and the patrons, too, are mostly friendly. The bartender knows my preferences for drinks and even what I like in them (cherries!). That said, socializing is NOT a requirement. I've enjoyed going in by myself, sitting in the corner, and relishing wings and a drink after work, without any hesitation. It's welcoming to non-locals as well. There are two large screens over the bar for those football moments, but non-football aficionados (myself included) can still feel good coming here. I genuinely hope Grainsley's is here to stay. This place is a must visit. The food is from scratch from amazing takes on pizza to homemade meatballs that your mother would be jealous of to the freshest salads and the nicest staff. The vibe is comfort and the decor is stylish and inviting. The owner Dan oversees every detail and could not be more accommodating. They also do a wonderful catering service that is the best hack for entertaining. Hide the containers and your guests will think you worked on these incredible dishes for days. They win the Wing challenge every year and no other wing in Rhode Island is even close to their secret sauces. If this place was in Boston or New York City there would be a 3 month wait to get in. Awesome Pub Style Pizza and killer crispy chicken sandwich. The Angry Hawaiian and Taste of Italy Pizza are our favorites. Perfect to share for a date night, take out or eat in! This is a homey, family friendly restaurant and bar with the interior bisectied into an open dining area with half couches and chairs around the tables and a bar with scattered seating and a few tables as well. There are two curved tvs above the bar and I imagine this place may have a decent following on NFL Sundays. The bar offered a variety of cocktails, but their beer and wine offerings were a little smaller. I went for their pizza food fights special, which includes a free small pizza with up to 3 toppings. That's one of the best offerings in the entire selection of participating restaurants. In addition to the pizza, I ordered a plate of wings because this place won this year's food fights challenge for wings. Their top two flavors were garlic Parmesan and buffalo, so I got a half order of each. The buffalo was average, but the garlic Parmesan had a wonderful rich sauce and great flavor. The pizza I ordered was a small with ricotta, meatball and ham. It was nicely cooked and the toppings were fresh. The service was quick and attentive. When I went the place wasn't very busy, I'd be curious to see how they do under a big crush of people. This place is fine, the offer standard bar fare and food. The service is decent and the atmosphere is nice. My only complaint is that it's a 25 minute drive from PVD and there are many closer options that offer the same thing. read more

I've been here before, but came back for the FOOD FIGHTS wing challenge. I'm so glad that we went out of our way to come back here. It's better than ever! The service was some of the friendliest I've had in a long time. They have some great beers on tap, and overall the food is fantastic. You can really tell that the person behind the menu and behind the line really cares about the quality. Their mozzarella triangles are definitely homemade, and it shows. We don't usually get too many appetizers, but we asked for a double order! The wings were perfectly crispy, and we tried two new sauces (to us). The bourbon barbecue was fantastic, but the honey mustard took the win for the day. When I say that I don't really care for honey mustard, but this is one of my favorite sauces of all time, I'm serious! It is homemade and creamy like an aïoli, but sweet... Oh my gosh, they really need to sell the sauce! I would buy a jar. Someone in my party ordered a fried chicken sandwich and asked for that sauce to be added to it. If you haven't had Bar Pie, it's a South Shore style pizza. They are on the smaller size, so don't be afraid to order your own. It's a thin crust style, heavily buttered, and ordered with lots of toppings, some pretty far afield from he regular stuff. The cheese is almost always cheddar, and the sauce ranges from fresh tomato to stewed and sweet. Grainsley's tends toward the sweeter side. They are good pizzas. Drinks, they have those as well. Including a few house made cocktails. found Grainsley's on google looking for pizza here in Warwick , the reviews were all raving about how good the pizza is, so my family and I went. We were instantly surprised when we walked in. The bar area is completely separate from the dining room with couches to lounge between both sides and more of a family feel on the dining room side. This is a win if you bring kids. The staff made us feel welcome right off the bat. The specials weren't overwhelming with 80 different options, short and sweet. Exactly how it should be. The food Was amazing. The wings 5 stars, the Arancini 8 stars, and the New York style 16" pizza...... if you want real New York style pizza without having to take the drive, this is the place. it's quite literally like the pizza my wife and I have driven HOURS for. My wife and I looked forward to trying Grainsley's for a while based on very good reviews including Gail Ciampa from the Providence Journal. Really wanted to like this place especially being in Conimicut Village which could use some successful small businesses. We came away extremely disappointed. As I want to support small local businesses, I prefer to email the owner and let him know my concerns rather than post on social media. Sadly I emailed the owner twice and never received a response so here are the issues encountered so u can make an informed decision on whether you want to visit Grainsley's. 1. Service: incredibly slow and restaurant was not even half full. Drink tool 15 minutes to come out. Salad almost 30 minutes and we did not have a chance to finish salad and pizza came out within 5 minutes of receiving salad. 2. I ordered a gin and tonic and it tasted as if there was no gin or very little in drink. 3. Ordered a pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms and Olives. Crust thin and crisp but toppings practically nonexistent. A few olive slices and a few mushrooms cut so small u could barely taste them. We usually sit on the bar side of the restaurant and we love it. We were in today for pizza month and love the pub style pizza. It one of the only places on the RI Food Fights list that offers pub style. We also love their drinks, but their mozzarella triangles are my all time favorite! Not a bad place to stop in. I think a lot of people either sit at the bar or do takeout because service can be a bit slow at times when it's super busy. They have excellent fries and now I know what pub style pizza is. I would say they could go easy on the cornmeal under the crust. There was enough cornmeal for about 4 pizzas. I first went to Grainsley's Kitchen for a RI Food Fights contest for pizza. Grainsley's pizzas are New Jersey pub style and are delicious. I ate at the bar and spoke to several other customers who had become regulars and they walked me though the menu explaining why they kept coming back. I met the owner, chef and bartender that night and was impressied by the service and great food. I have since returned multiple times, even though it is out of my way, and I am never disappointed. I highly reccomend for a quick bit or a full meal, by yourself or with friends. Great spot. read more
