This was a fun place. I went for a Yelp event. The atmosphere was really nice and the food that they serve served was great.

place is eclectic with a cool vibe. Short on staff... but service was still good and cordial. Drinks were excellent. No beers on tap. If what I ordered is representative of their food was horrendous. The "pigs in blankets" were BJs heated up. Shameful. Loved the place though. Will try again.

    Pork belly bites - yummmm

What a swanky little spot!!! Came here for drinks and small bites and it fit the bill! Plenty of street parking as well as lot in the back. Smaller space but plenty of seating from what I could see. We sat at the bar - not too busy so we found two spots. The drinks were quite interesting and there was a plethora to pick from! I fell into the trap of ordering a drink for pictures lol - so I ordered the Jungle Bird which came in a cage. It was good but not great - I'd try other options next time around. For food we order the pork belly bites, edamame, fried eggplant and fig walnut flatbread. By far our fave was the pork belly bites. Fried eggplant was just ok and flatbread although had a lot of great flavors was a bit too heavily doused with fig jam. We still enjoyed our food but would come back to try other options. Out bartender was wonderful, very sweet and attentive and gave us the right around of attention. This is an absolutely great spot just chilling for after work drinks and small bites! We will def be back!

Had the Fig & Walnut flatbread that was AMAZING and we really enjoyed our server Amber. (Thx for sidebar makeup inside scoop!). Great atmosphere - love the vibe!

This place was so cool. Never even heard of the place. Thanks yelp. The food was amazing from sausages meatballs to the pizza everything was spot on, so good! My favorite the deviled eggs. The drinks were amazing and the birdcage was just a cool presentation. The service was great, bartender Day was excellent! The atmosphere was so my vibe, little Edger Allen Poe to what I would picture a vampire bar would look like. I have been spreading the word about this place to anyone that would listen. I will be back soon.

You feel the chic and beautiful vibes when you immediately walk inside. Love the decor, we sat at the bar, greeted right away and given menus. The drink and food menu isn't too overwhelming, absolutely loved the drink specials!! Try the deviled eggs, they are to die for!!

In case you don't think Yelp Elite Events don't work, you are mistaken! I was invited to an evening outing at The Social House and the very next day, I took hubby for cocktail. And we have been back again! The Social House is by our marina. We had been boating all day and were salty, casual and windblown. I really wanted to introduce hubby to this place so I called and asked if we were appropriately attired. Shorts and regular shirts were okay, no hats. I wouldn't go dressed this way later in the evening but it was just 5pm and we were going for one drink - so in and out before all the beautiful people get there after work! Hubby opted for a very dirty vodka martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. It was perfect! I went with LaLa Lemon - Malfy lemon gin, lemon sorbet, lemon zest, mint leaf. I love this cocktail - sour with a hint of sweet. We were going home to clean clams and make clam zuppa so we didn't eat but I can vouch for the deliciousness and variety of the charcuterie boards and flatbreads - especially the mushroom & onion with garlic oil, mozz, roasted mushroom, roasted onion and goat cheese. I read another Yelp review that said he ordered a drink which he loved but then wanted a beer and didn't feel any judgment for his order. That doesn't sound like much but sometimes at a cocktail lounge, the pressure to order is a thing. Hubby said the same thing and that he really enjoyed the fun vibe with the bartenders chatting us up. Highly recommend! Go for a cocktail, stay for the food and the people watching. Thank you Paul for bringing such a unique and inspired lounge to Apponaug!

First off, the service was great. They really seemed to appreciate feedback and all the staff were so nice. Unfortunately, the drinks were nothing special. The food really wasn't good and I wouldn't recommend unless you really need something to eat while drinking. The dessert board and the fig and walnut flatbread are totally different than the online photos and the quality is really cheap for how expensive they are. I really want to like this place but not one thing we had was good. They're new, so hopefully they're able to improve after the first year.

Social House is truly a not-so hidden gem. From the ambiance to the service, food and drinks... WOW. Every little detail is accounted for, every time. Full disclosure: I work here. But who better to hear a review from, than a very honest staff member with nothing to gain? The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The decor fits a certain theme (I won't spoil it for you), but it's evident throughout the space and the intentionally chosen wallpaper, light fixtures, and overall interior design. Inviting, intimate, warm and, well...incredibly sexy. Speak-easy vibes. Not a TV in sight. Now THIS is a night out. Best part? You don't have to go to Providence to experience it. Let's talk drinks. Strong? Yes. Delicious? Yes. Each cocktail on the menu is different (and there's quite a few), so there's no reason not to find something you like. Pick your poison, and your server will help guide you. My personal favorites are the Banana-Rum Old Fashioned, which pairs PERFECTLY with the Pork Belly Bites (we'll get to that later), the Better Than MSC Espresso Martini, and (not on the menu), but their Hot 'N Dirties are to die for. Blue cheese olives. Mhm. If you're a Hot 'N Dirty, or even just a Dirty Martini girl, look no further. The moment you've been waiting for: the food. Shareable bites, including a Charcuterie Board full of only the best meats, cheeses and fixins', Pork Belly Bites, gourmet Deviled Eggs that rotate weekly, Sausageballs, and as of recently, warm Chili Roasted Cashews. I'm highlighting here. These are a few of my favorite things. Looking for something more substantial? Try the Fig and Prosciutto or Mushroom and Onion flatbread. You won't be disappointed. If you're craving some sweet treats, order the Dessert Board. It's quite literally a charcuterie board for desserts. A little taste of everything including cheesecake, macaroons, cookies, etc. YUM. Last, but certainly not least, the service. Two words: door man. That's right. If you're headed to Social House on the weekend, or for a private party, expect to be greeted by a dapper dude at the door. The service starts there. As you walk in, you'll be kindly seated by a host or hostess. Fancy. Next, your server or bartender will introduce themselves, and get the party started. Attentive, helpful, friendly and enthusiastic. We know service, and we do it well. If you're not sold by now, you never will be. Come EXPERIENCE Social House. You'll be glad you did.

Came in for some drinks with friends on a later Thursday night when our favorite speakeasy was closed and super impressed! The drinks were good, the price point solid, both owners/managers came to check on us and see how things were going! The fries portion was GIANT!!! The waitress was also super attentive! Overall a great spot!

There's a new espresso martini in town...

The Social House's tastefully decorated interior from the dark wood to the warm toned lighting and artwork gives off a swanky vibe. Gabe, one of the bartenders, not only commands the bar area with his expertise in making drinks, but also makes a genuine attempt to connect with the customers. My husband and I know him from a previous restaurant we frequented. His coworkers were equally welcoming. "Better Than MSC" is by far the best espresso martini in town, and the modest food menu provides a variety of choices without being too overwhelming. If you're looking for a relaxing nightcap or someplace different to dine, you need to check this place out!

Upon entrance is a doorman who is so friendly and accommodating! He found us an open table and checked on us throughout the night. The place was packed and they only had maybe 5 or 6 employees so the service was a little slow but understandable. I think the longest wait was about 20 minutes when we were waiting to get our initial drink order taken, but everything after that was fairly quick. For drinks I got a thin mint martini because they were out of the chocolate reuge martini I wanted. It was so yummy and came with 3 thin mint cookies. My mom got a pistachio martini and the Jefferson Tea. Both were pretty good but I wouldn't order again. My dad got Dead Mans Redemption which is good if you like bourbon. It comes with a wood topper and they light it on fire, let smoke fill in the drink, and then take the wood off. The drink then has notes of smoked wood in it which is cool. For food we got the crispy spring rolls and pepperoni flatbread. Both were so good!!!! It was absolutely worth the wait!!! I could eat the whole flatbread myself it was that good and I can't wait to go back and get another one. The crowd is definitely much older, not a lot of younger people around. It's a good date night for married couples. Overall it was a nice place and I would come back.

Be warned, it's on the more expensive side for dining and may be a coin toss for "is it worth it" for those that enjoy a night out but also looking for value. Food was a mixed bag for us.... Starting with the smashburger was genuinely disappointing as the burger itself was dry and advertised as a "French onion" smashburger that failed to deliver any of the rich, savory flavor we expected with a name like "French onion smashburger". The hot honey Mac and cheese was very good and flavorful... The hot being more of a vinegary heat than I expected but the cream sauce was rich. Speaking of value earlier.... Smashburger was $20 and the Mac and cheese was $28. Entrees were $10-15 more it seemed but previous reviews all spoke highly of the entrees and would want to try them if we visit again. The overall service experience was disappointing for us. Not for the demeanor of the staff but everything else... We had a decent size group of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids) and was fortunate to have a dining room to help the kids burn some energy while not bothering the other diners. However, from ordering to entrees to arrive was 45 very hungry minutes. It also took 20+ mins just to get drinks. Once the food arrived, they also were short two of the kids meals which was thankfully corrected quick. We then were somewhat "gently" being asked to wrap things up by 3 staff members in 10 mins making the rounds to clear plates and any to go containers. We all understand the business in the food industry and turning tables, and trust me, after an hour from arriving to food on the table we wanted to get home for bed time. However, really sours the experience and would not advocate going here with large groups.... Between the kitchen and staff I can't say you'd have a guaranteed good time.

I loved that the churro was warm and the drink itself was really tasty. However, I think there was way too much whipped cream and not enough of the actual drink. For my main dish, I chose the Barbacoa Benedict - a super popular choice according to the waitress, and for good reason! The Benedict really was delicious, the meat was tender, the flavors popped, and I love a good bolo roll as a base. But, the homefries were SO salty. Priced a little highly in my opinion- I got the meat Omelette. It was tasty, it had a fair bit of carne asada in it and it was well seasoned. It also had some bacon and chorizo in there if memory serves me. I thought the portion could have been a little bit better for $23, or better yet, just make it $18-19. There's no reason an Omelette should come with a $23 price tag. I was actually satisfied with the portion given the mound of home fries. Which by the way were very tasty albeit, over salted. The braised beef Benedict that my wife got was very good, my only critique on it would be to toast the bolo a bit more because the whole thing was one texture. It missed the crunch you get with an English muffin as the base. I also thought the beef could have been more seasoned. One other order at the table included the breakfast tacos. You get 4 tacos piled with food. Actually looked like you got more than the Omelette. Noted for next time. I didn't order this, but tried it at the table- the spiked horchata drink was tasty. A little heavy on the whipped cream but it was a good drink! We were surprisingly the only ones in there besides one other table. Doesn't seem like brunch has caught on here? Nonetheless, I think you should give it a try, we were well taken care of and there wasn't anything we didn't like.
