Ham and cheese omelet, and home fries.

Had not been to this joint for several years and I came back for breakfast with my daughter. The food was amazing and the service was great the home fries have a unique flavor that is so good. The ham, egg, and cheese omelet was huge and delicious. Glad we came here today!

Very cute and quaint spot. Service was quick and staff was super friendly. The food was delicious, cheap and had great portion sizing! Would definitely go again!

The breakfast menu. The food smells very delicious!! And it's a very welcoming environment

This location is very welcoming cafe and environment. It is a family run restaurant with classic American breakfast and menu. They also sell lunch options but I usually just stick to the breakfast. Fresh cracked eggs, fluffy omelets, fresh cooked bacon, and a stiff strong cup of coffee.

#3 eggs and bacon. Nothing greasy. I made a sammich!

As a foodie snob, I seldom give a place 5 stars. I was impressed with the food and portions, service, as well as the atmosphere. Parking was easier than anticipated for the city. It can be cold inside, but a small price to pay for the all positives.

The world is sleeping on this place. A quaint little mom and pop place with the best food around. I get the NY System where every chance I get. If yo haven't been, you better go.

Greasy spoon old school diner with a classic American breakfast and lunch menu. Pricing is consistent to what Fonzie must have paid on Happy Days. I would have no idea how this place can afford to exist on what they charge, except for the fact that Royal Lunch has pictures of generation upon generation of happy customers on their run down walls. I like this spot more for mood than food but it's worth a visit even just for nostalgia. Plus, the service is as sweet as good old American apple pie.

It feels like her place in the best way -- warm, proud, hands-on. Pastries are legit. Super buttery, flaky enough to make a mess, clearly baked that morning. No sad, sitting-around-all-day vibes. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and that tomato jam needs to be illegal. Sweet, savory, slightly tangy -- it completely makes the sandwich. I kept trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. Not happening. Crispy chicken sandwich was properly seasoned and not dried out (why is that so hard for some places?). Fries were solid too -- crispy, not limp. And the kale salad with roasted chickpeas and chicken made me feel like I had my life together. Fresh, simple, and actually satisfying. It's one of those places you stumble into while traveling and then immediately start googling whether you can justify going back the next day.

We were greeted when we entered and told to sit any where. It was a chilly, twent-something degree, January afternoon during our visit and trust me when I say there is *zero* insulation in those walls. Guests were wearing hats and sweater inside. Do dress warmly if visiting in winter. The menu has lots on offer. We chose a couple of burgers which come with fries or coleslaw or pasta salad or potato salad. So options. I ordered a regular burger which allears to be a premade patty, cooked 'well done'. This is literally a burger on a bun. No mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, etc. Add lettuce & tomato or cheese for a dollar each. Ketchup was brought to the table, but if you want some other condiment, so ask. My companion ordered the southern, aka bacon cheese burge. This also has no condiments so do be sure to specify. Fries are tasty, crispy outside, fluffy inside and delivered hot. The Caeser salad was fresh cut lettuce with a nice amount of mild dressing, crunchy croutons and grated cheese. A very nice side salad portion. The waitress was friendly and capable. Restrooms are updated and clean. Prices reasonable. Standard diner fare and 100% old school diner vibes.

It's not a gimmick, but a nod to the seaplanes that once landed on the working river across the street. Vintage jukeboxes at every booth complete the authentic, nostalgic vibe. The mushroom omelet was cooked to perfection and served with fresh red-potato home fries and multigrain toast. Coffee was classic diner fare. The massive Rodeo Burger came on a soft roll, topped with cheese, bacon, and onion rings, with a side of perfectly mashed red potatoes that tasted homemade. Our server, Stephanie, was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and clearly someone who enjoys what she does. Her positive energy made the entire experience better.

When we walked in, the staff told us to grab a table anywhere we liked. Inside, there are about 10 tables, bar stools facing the kitchen, and decor on the walls like pictures of the staff and famous people and unique statues. Outside, there are three tables as well. A few tables were occupied on a Wednesday afternoon. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and my husband ordered steak and eggs and a coffee milk. We didn't have to wait very long for the cheeseburger and the steak and eggs to come out on colorful light plates. Unfortunately, the greasy fries came about 15 minutes later and I was almost done with my cheeseburger by the time they came. The steak and eggs were a big portion; there were 2 pieces of steak, 2 eggs cooked how you like, potatoes, and bread. My husband really enjoyed his meal. The cheeseburger was a typical diner cheeseburger, but the meat was a little dry for my own personal taste. I did enjoy the sesame bun. Maybe I should have tried their pancakes or more breakfast type dishes. After completing our meal, we bought our yellow order receipt to the cashier. Our whole meal came to be $24.84 prior to tip which is a great price. If you are interested, you should visit Louis Family Restaurant just to try it for yourself and check it out since "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" was shot here and it was mentioned in a episode of "The Afterparty," the Apple TV murder mystery and comedy.
