Really yummy hot dogs:) I also find the chefs very welcoming and friendly. I've only had their hot dogs but enjoyed them each time!

Service - 4/5 Food - 3/5 Ambiance - 3/5 Total - 3.5/5 been wanting to stop by and try this prov staple. glad i did because it was a cute experience. stopped by on a saturday night to grab some fries. they weren't salted enough and the portion could have been more generous for what seemed like frozen fries in a styrofoam box costing me $7. i am lactose intolerant so couldn't try the milkshake but the menu looked fun. i prob won't be back often but i wouldn't be against coming back.

This place is so cool!!! Allie was super sweet and was super helpful in teaching us about the menu!! The food was great and you can mix flavors together in your milkshake!! Super fun!

It wasn't 1am and I was not drunk. The Haven Brothers truck was at my job and I tried a cheeseburger and fries. It was good. I mean fresh bun! But I need a little grease on my burger and I felt it lacked that. The ketchup was empty (I know they were slammed at my job) and the fries were fries. I have been told it tastes better at 1am after a night out.

Never been disappointed here. So historic. Well-priced, fresh bread for the hotdogs so they're super tasty. The milkshakes could probably be thicker though. Cajun spice doesn't taste like anything at all.

Haven brothers diner is a staple in Rhode Island so I was really excited to try it. Inside the diner, you can see pictures of famous people that visited. There is a menu outside so you can take a look at the options before you go in and order. I ordered the western burger with no bacon and mozzarella sticks. The burger buns was a roll and not the traditional bun. Thankfully no mold like a few reviews mentioned. I wish there were more bbq sauce and onions in the burger. The mozzarella sticks were good. Service was nice and he even gave us samples of Oreo caramel milkshake. It was nice to try, but not sure if I would be back.

Solid place- great for late night... a Rhode Island staple! Can even call your pickup order ahead of time to avoid the line. Love the burgers and seasoned fries!

One of my favorite places to grab a bite after a night out. Haven Bros is a Providence icon and have tons of pictures with celebrities that have stopped by. They operate out of a roomy food truck parked next to City Hall. Their menu is the basic late night drunk food, with burgers, hot weiners/dogs, chicken tenders, fries, and shakes. The shakes are delicious, they have pretty my h every flavor you can think of and in my opinion are the best part of the menu. Their food is usually satisfying, can be a bit hit or miss and is definitely a little pricier than it should be. Overall, a good spot to hit after a night out, and one that you should at least stop by to see if you're in Providence.

WTF is this??????! I ordered a burger that was supposed to come with bbq, sautéed onions, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo... look at this atrocity!!! It looks disgusting and very bland and like cardboard. My brother who is 18 years younger than me can make a better and JUICIER burger than this. Why pay $10-$12 for these thin ass burgers that don't taste like anything and the burgers are crafted like shit????!!! It's beyond ridiculous.

Regular Western Burger, that 2 patty's, cheese, bacon, grilled onions, and a few napkins worth of BBQ sauce! Single order of regular fries, and a amazing chocolate shake. Sever was super friendly too! When I'm Providence, you gotta eat here!

I've eaten my way through quite a few things here over the years, and while there are plenty of good choices, I keep coming back to the Smokey and the Bandit smash burger. At this point, I probably know what I'm ordering before I even sit down. There's just something about that combination that keeps winning. The food here is consistently good. Everything I've had has been fresh, hot, and full of flavor, and the kitchen seems to have that part figured out without making a big production of it. The menu has enough variety that you can come in with different appetites and still find something you want, but it doesn't feel like one of those places with a menu the size of a small novel where you need twenty minutes just to decide what you're looking at. The beer selection is another reason I enjoy Chomp. There's enough variety to make choosing a beer part of the experience rather than simply grabbing whatever happens to be on tap. Prices are also pretty reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which is increasingly something I notice because restaurant prices have a funny way of creeping upward when you're not paying attention. The location is another part of the appeal. Chomp sits in a great little part of Providence where you can easily make an evening out of being in the neighborhood. There are plenty of other restaurants, shops, and places to wander around nearby, so it doesn't feel like you're making a special trip just to eat and then immediately getting back in the car. Tonight, though, I have to give a special shout-out to Bella, who was our server. She was outstanding. Friendly, personable, attentive without hovering, and genuinely helpful. She suggested adding bacon to my Smokey and the Bandit, which I probably wouldn't have thought to do on my own. I'm very glad she mentioned it because it was an excellent call. Sometimes the best recommendations are the simple ones, and she nailed it. One piece of advice if you're planning on coming here: make a reservation if you can. Chomp can fill up quickly, and given how good the food is, that really shouldn't come as much of a surprise. It's the kind of restaurant where people come back because they already know they're going to have a good meal, and I'm certainly part of that group. Five stars from me. Great food, good beer, reasonable prices, a fantastic Providence location, and genuinely good service. I've tried enough of the menu over the years to know that Chomp has plenty of options, but apparently I'm still incapable of walking through the door without ordering that Smokey and the Bandit. Add Bella's bacon recommendation to the list of reasons I'm going to keep coming back.

We both ordered the Classic Smash Burger, one with cheese and one without. Unfortunately, both burgers were utterly tasteless, with virtually no seasoning detected at all. The Chomp Sauce that was supposed to elevate the burger was so sparse it barely made an appearance, leaving the burgers bland. Honestly, the bun was the best part. The brussel sprouts I ordered also lacked flavor and seasoning aside from the char, and his Cajun fries were so salty they were nearly inedible. After driving from Massachusetts to Rhode Island as a special Mother's Day treat, it ended up being a very disappointing experience, especially given the overwhelmingly positive reviews. We may have caught them on an unusually busy night, but unfortunately our meals fell far short of our expectations.

The weekdays are easier to get a table or bar seat. I love all the burgers, wings, hot dogs and shakes (Boozy or regular). Cons: I basically love everything on the menu EXCEPT the crinkle fries and the taco salad. (The crinkle fires I never liked but I am starting to see them more in some bars. They seem to not as crunchy as the regular fries and hold more grease including being more mushy then crunchy as mentioned before. The taco is like a Salsa salad which greens and Salsa. The taste is not bad but it becomes a wet salad). Pros: Everything else on the menu fantastic! My favorites: Turkey burger , mushroom burger, providence burger bar special, chili cheese hot dog, fried Mac and cheese, Strawberry Shake with a frozen fruit INCLUDING the Garlic Parmesan Buffalo wings. The only place I know can do hot dogs this great besides wieners from Olneyville and Babbas! Service: Incredible and friendly service. The bartender was friendly, though you could tell he was a little stressed. We then tried a few vegan sandwiches, but I couldn't figure out why the fries weren't automatically included. I mean, when you're ordering a vegan meal, I assumed fries would come as a standard side. The portion sizes for two were also a bit disappointing. The sandwiches themselves were tasty, but the burger was kind of lost under an overwhelming amount of sauce--even though I'll admit, the sauce was pretty satisfying on its own. Serving veganized versions of traditional pub fare, the food is excellent. I was especially pleased with the buffalo cauliflower bites. The breading was legit (and kind of reminded me of getting fried seafood by the sea as a kid). This was robust, crunchy, and flavorful - a far cry from the barely-covered-in-panko stuff I have gotten at other places. I had the Philly "cheesesteak," which was a tasty sandwich that really did riff on the old classic. My husband did a lettuce-wrapped truffle burger, and that might be the only place that I paused because absent the bun, you can see just how little the serving is. They also have sushi from the Make Out available, and I did a tomato tuna nigiri that was tops. I want to come back just for the sushi. The service was a little slow, but our server made a point to apologize thank us for our patience. She was just really busy, but she was also very upbeat and cognizant of making people wait. I don't often encounter many servers like that - she seemed to be legitimately happy to be there. They have a great beer selection, including plenty of draft, and they also have wine and cocktails available. It was good enough that we made plans to return before we leave town, and I know it will be a stop when we come back. Probably the first one!

First of all, the restaurant itself is small but very cute, cozy, and full of lovely New England-y Sea-Themed decor. We were promptly seated and had our order taken for our drinks & food - I had heard good things about this place, so I got a decent amount of food items, including: Lobster Roll - Arguably the best lobster roll I've ever had so far in my life. The brioche bun for it was soooo fluffy, soft, and a perfect complement to the big, juicy chunks of lobster that were seasoned and buttered JUST right. Also came with hefty and well-seasoned fries. New England Clam Chowder - Came with salted pork and potatoes in addition to the quahog clams. It was deliciously creamy and soothing to slurp on and the chunks within were all so tender and a great contrast. Clam Cakes - Added them to the Clam Chowder order for an extra $8. Big, hefty, doughy balls that were perfectly fried outside and ooey gooey within. Fish & Chips - Big, hefty fish that was juicy & delicious with a great crunch on the outside! Similarly came with the 'chips', or the hefty, well-seasoned fries that the lobster roll also came with. Oh yeah, pardon me, forgetting to mention the drinks! We ordered the Briny Martini and the Harbor House Punch! The Martini was great for a stronger drink and the Punch was a nice cocktail for anyone preferring something sweeter and fruitier. When it came to the food, service, and dining experience...it couldn't have been better! Everything was incredibly delicious and definitely worth ordering. This memorable experience then reached exceptional circumstances, however, as while we were in the middle of dining here and enjoying our delicious food, there was a shooting occurring just up the street at Brown University. I wish to commend the staff at Dune Brothers, who looked out for mine and their other patrons' safety and sheltering us in their restaurant as we all nervously waited for more information on what exactly was going on that evening.
