Chorico, Eggs (2) Toast & Homefries

A cute diner that is perfect for a lazy Sunday breakfast. It is homey and has tables for groups and stools at an open kitchen for single diners. The homefries were tasty and the chorico added a salty bite.

Man, I never really go out for wieners but this was by far the best ones I've had. My girl friend showed me this place, the meat sauce is delicious... I got two and then got another one excellent! Great grilled cheese too!

I grew up eating weiners in Woonsocket from New York Lunch. While they are amazing... Rod's Grille has shown me something better. I know it's just weiners, but theirs just seems to be just that much better. The place is very clean and I loved the onion rings! Glad I was able to try Rod's.

Always friendly and attentive staff, plus very affordable foods here. Nothing fancy but consistently good affordable goods. My kids and I have been coming here for years and never once walked out of here disappointed.

Every time we have a boat at the Blount shipyard I take the crew to Rod's grill. Warren's best lunch spot!

Old school diner and counter service. Classic Rhode Island wieners and other favorites. Will have to come back for breakfast next time!

Excellent food and prices one Weiner is only 3 dollars while if you were to go somewhere else it'd be 10 dollars for one hotdog.

Today was our first (and not last) visit to The Hamilton Diner. We go there at 11:00am on a Tuesday…read more(day after Labor Day just to keep the metrics in place) and the parking lot was packed. We did, however, find one about 4/5 of the way into it. Entrance way is at the end of a ramp, which I would interpret as a fairly tight squeeze if I was in a wheelchair. However, there was a fellow in an electric wheelchair making his way down the ramp as we were coming up, and we all made it up (and down) easily enough with just a pause. Hostess desk is immediately in the entrance. Very personable lady said it'd be a 25-minute wait, and that was pretty accurate. I gave her my phone number and received a message to download Yelp! including a "Your place in line" feature. Benches to sit and wait - one outside and three inside. We were 4th in line, and then 2nd, and then 1st. I felt a vibration from the phone but saw no message. So I went to the desk to check, and they were ready anyhow with 4 empty tables. Seated us quickly and our waitress Ashley was there in short time. Paula (wifey) ordered some Egg Sandwich and a small order of French Toast. I ordered Southern Benedict, which was a buttermilk biscuits base, topped with a fried chicken patty, 2 poached eggs, and smothered in a creamy sausage gravy, and it came with an order of home fries. We were both very happy with the flavor and portions. In fact I was rather full and didn't eat the last 3 or 4 bites. I also had an iced coffee, which was nice and strong. The place is very much where neighbors and families meet and greet. Lot's of "Norm!!" moments. Pricing if fairly average -- it was (with a 20% tip) $45 for us two. My only complaint had nothing to do with the restaurant, but with adults who don't know how to tell a kid not to do shrill whistling in a restaurant. No more details on that. Again, not the restaurant's fault. We definitely would like to go there again, especially to order some bacon, as that, in my estimation, is a very important factor for breakfast -- I just didn't have any reason for it this time, what with the chicken and the sausage gravy.

The parking is hard to find at busy times, but I usually find it down Miller St. Just keep in mind that they are closed on Mondays & Sundays when planning a trip. However, they open at 11:30 AM Tuesday through Saturday, which is perfect for an early lunch. The lunch menu is well priced and the food seems high quality. When I've sat inside, the service has always been great. The style of the interior has a rustic comforting feel that makes you want to relax. The chicken quesadilla is savory and quickly became one of my favorite dishes. The salsa is fresh and pairs perfectly with it.

Their menu is not too long, but it does have a little bit of everything and the prices are good. As an appetizer, we ordered the bang bang shrimp (8 Panko fried shrimp tossed in a sweet & spicy sauce). They were very crispy, big, and a little creamy but more sweet than spicy. I was torn between the brie and bacon burger on their regular menu and the smashburger on their special menu. Ultimately I chose the smashburger because I could always come back for the brie and bacon. As crazy as it sounds, I wanted to be a little healthy so I asked for a greek salad instead of fries. After about 20 minutes, the entrees came out. I was a little disappointed that the cheese on the burger wasnt melted, but in the end, it didn't make too much of a difference since it was delicious. The tomatoes and lettuce were fresh, the fried banana peppers and bacon were crispy, and the meat was tender and flavorful. I think there were so many opposing flavors but they all came together beautifully - salty, acidic, creamy, cheesy. The buns could've been toasted a little more. The greek salad was also fantastic. It tasted very fresh and had all the toppings I expected with a good amount of salad dressing. I appreciated that they added a lot of feta. Our server was fantastic; she was very attentive and kept us updated on the status of our food.
