When one thinks of casual diner food and experience, look no further than Stanley's! Slinging burgers since 1932 Stanley's is a unique old school spin for diners. Very reasonable prices and a litnay of choices to quench your hunger! With house made lemonade on the menu I couldn't pass it up. When asking there are a few flavor options from blueberry, strawberry dragonfruit and a few more I don't remember. I went with dragonfruit and the lemonade was flavorful and perfect for me with not being too sweet nor tart. For starters I chose a chowder as it is a part of the Friday menu to choose from. They have both red and white and I chose the latter. It was smooth, cream full of a good mix of veggies and clams. For the main I went with bacon cheeseburger and I don't know just how to articulate how much of a comfort burger this is but boy oh boy it was a great diner style burger! The staff is very welcoming and friendly keeping the food and conversation flowing throughout the visit! Thank you for a great dining experience! I'm participating in the 2nd Annual RI Food Fights Wiener Event and this was my fourth stop. I had been to Stanley's before so I knew what to expect - a classic diner experience with good food as a great price. I was especially convinced to go when I did because they had a deal going on for Central Falls restaurant week which was too good to pass up: 6 burgers with a small fry for $12. I took two friends with me to help me finish all the food. We added lettuce, cheese and mayo to the burgers for $1 each upcharge. We also ordered a homemade lemonade each. They have about eight flavors to choose from but we went with strawberry, pineapple, and passion fruit. The food came out quick. The patties were a little bland in color, but the flavor was there. I wish they had toasted the buns. We requested the fries to be made dirty which meant sprinkled herbs which I think helped with adding flavor. Their fries are on the thicker side which I am not the biggest fan of but they still tasted good. I ordered a chili dog but I sort of regretted it singe it was messy and I felt like there was too much going on. Our server was very kind and patient with as (we were asking for lots of requests). I have eaten at Stanley's many, many times over the years and it has never disappointed. I do miss the tabletop juke boxes but, if anything, the food has gotten better. Everything tasted exceptionally fresh. The traditional Stanleyburger (yes, that's how it's listed on the menu) is a smash burger on a soft bun with grilled onions and pickles ($3.49). Delicious! A side of their perfectly browned hand cut fries is $3.99. Add a cup of brown gravy for dipping ($1.75). They also have shakes ($4.99) and, of course, coffee milk ($2.39/$3.39). You can have a satisfying, inexpensive meal in a cool, retro diner setting. I also had the pleasure of being taken care of by Deb, who's probably the sweetest server I've ever encountered. One of my Dad's favorite restaurants. It felt very fitting on his first birthday not on earth, that we would celebrate his memory at Stanley's. I have so many memories wrapped up in this Central Falls location. From staring at the old large juke box at the entrance preparing for how I would use my quarters as a kid all the way up to dinners on Halloween before trick or treating with my daughter. I will forever love Stanley's. Why should you love it? It's a greasy burger. They do carmelized onions. It has an old diner vibe inside with colorful locals. They have coffee milkshakes! A large plate of fries is shareable for 4 people! They have saloon doors to the bathroom. They now have beer. But I am sorry to inform you, those table juke boxes are now all gone. RIP chosen music. (Still want those? Head to Twins in North Providence) I have never had anything other than a cheeseburger, fries and shakes from Stanley's. I can't comment on anything else. I always enjoyed Stanley's for years. I went there yesterday with my daughter grandson's and her two children. The food was good. But when they came to pay the check, we gave the waitress a credit card and she said there will be a 10% surcharge on the card. I was very disappointed with that. Having lived in South Attleboro for almost 20 years, I had heard of Stanley's but never stopped by. Boy was that a mistake. We finally stopped in and found out why. I had the double mushroom cheeseburger. Sooo good. A smash burger with onions and pickles. The rest of the gang got double cheeseburgers. All with onions and pickles. Everyone agreed these were some of the best diner style smash burgers we have had. We also had the chili cheese fries. Tons of ground beef in a tomatoey sauce with nice chunks of onions and peppers. I came here often when I was a kid, my grandparents would take us for a cheese burger, fries, and root beer float. I loved sitting at the counter and watching the cook make everything on the flat top griddle. Four stars for such a cute diner vibe and wonderful staff! The dining area is small. Three 2-seater booths, a couple of larger booths and a few tables on one side and the lunch counter overlooking the grill on the other. As soon as we arrived we were greeted. We chose a 2 seater booth which was plenty big enough. On the table are your menu's. These are so small you'll need your reading glasses. There is also a table top display that includes a list of the beers they serve, new appetizers they offer and regular weekly specials information. Our waitress came over with forks and napkins, took our drink order and filled us in on the days specials. The meat pie sounded tempting but I really wanted to try the burger on my first visit. The burgers are cooked well-done. It doesn't taste like salt & pepper is used when they are cooked, but there are shakers on the table as well as white vinegar and more napkins. We asked our waitress for mustard and ketchup to put on the burgers. I upgraded to dirty fries on my hamburger plate. The dirty fries taste like they have a hint of cayenne pepper but over all the spice did not 'pop'. A bit of salt and vinegar helped. The fries appear to be made of fresh cut potato that is deep fried on low heat. They are tender throughout with no 'crisp' on the outside. Adding mustard to the burger helped the over all taste. The lettuce was nice and fresh, the pre-sliced tomato was a bit old looking. The grilled onion served with all the burgers are a little sweet and add a nice texture to the meal. We also tried the fried zucchini appetizer. There are limited vegetable choices on the menu and I wanted to add some veg to the meal. The breadcrumb coating is a little sweet and very crunchy. Not a healthy veg, but quite tasty. Our waitress asked if we would like dessert. I asked about the strawberry short cake and was told that's available in the warm weather months. The normally offered desserts include apple, blueberry and pumpkin pies and a grapenut pudding with changes here and there so check with your waitress if you like dessert. Things to know: They could give the floors a nice scrub, but otherwise it seemed clean. The single restroom is behind the swinging doors off the dining area. A 4% surcharge is added to your tab when making payment by credit card. A restaurant parking lot is located next to the building. The real attraction of this place is the ambiance and staff. When we got up to leave the cook and both waitresses said good bye. This is a real friendly, neighborhood icon. read more

I been there many times and this time was the absolute worst, there is always an older chunky man always sitting around doing absolutely nothing and yelling inappropriate stuff to employees! There was no pickles at all the restaurant because they so called ran out. Like how do you run a restaurant but run out of food and drink options! Friday's are seafood days per Facebook and I ordered some seafood and was told there was nothing left! Super upsetting! Don't get me started on the condition of the restaurant! No frills and delicious! A couple of friends first put me on to Stanley's last summer and I haven't looked back. I usually order a double mushroom cheeseburger, no pickles (comes with caramelized onions). They make burgers to order, which might mean a bit of a longer wait but it also means your food is fresh!
