One of my Dad's favorite restaurants. It felt very fitting on his first birthday not on earth, that we would celebrate his memory at Stanley's. I have so many memories wrapped up in this Central Falls location. From staring at the old large juke box at the entrance preparing for how I would use my quarters as a kid all the way up to dinners on Halloween before trick or treating with my daughter. I will forever love Stanley's. Why should you love it? It's a greasy burger. They do carmelized onions. It has an old diner vibe inside with colorful locals. They have coffee milkshakes! A large plate of fries is shareable for 4 people! They have saloon doors to the bathroom. They now have beer. But I am sorry to inform you, those table juke boxes are now all gone. RIP chosen music. (Still want those? Head to Twins in North Providence) I have never had anything other than a cheeseburger, fries and shakes from Stanley's. I can't comment on anything else. It's also hard to describe to you a Stanley burger but my best way is: it tastes like my childhood.

Stanley's may be retro and they may be nostalgic but their food is darn tasty. Friendly service, cool diner atmosphere, burgers and fries that take me back to before McDonald's came to Rhode Island, The prices take me back too! Had a fabulous meal including a mushroom cheeseburger and Quebec fries (poutine). Absolutely yummy. The burgers are made to order with onions and pickles (recommend) but you can order your burger without. Small parking lot makes dining at Stanley's convenient. Next time you're traveling through CF, RI stop at Stanley's! Love!

Mozzarella sticks - Six mozzarella sticks with a golden-brown breaded coating are arranged on red and white checkered paper. A small black cup filled with marinara sauce is positioned at the top center of the basket. The basket is placed on a white surface with a subtle pattern. The presentation suggests a casual appetizer or snack, typical of American comfort food.

Classic diner vibes with comfort food! If you are watching your calorie intake, this is probably not the meal for you. We came here to try the burgers, fries, and shakes and they all lived up to the hype! Adding bacon and extra toppings to a burger makes my meal complete. You will leave here full and ready for a nap! We sat at the counter and had fast service. There is limited parking in a small lot.

Typical diner food. Greasy burgers and fries. Inexpensive and hits the spot. Servers and cooks are always friendly. Parking is off street but can be tight. My son has a peanut/treenut allergy and dines here safely so that's always a plus. My one complaint is the cheese on the cheese fries. Someone tell me why it's so thin/watery? It tastes like disappointing. They really could work on stepping up that fry game.

A serendipitous discovery of this Central Falls treasure had me out in the stormy weather. The burgers are delish and it feels like a lovely time travel to sweet times when you step inside. The service is friendly and the playlist is fun. I recommend this iconic neighborhood eatery, big time. There is a parking lot next to the building and rumor has it, seasonal lobstah rolls arrive in March.

I came here often when I was a kid, my grandparents would take us for a cheese burger, fries, and root beer float. I loved sitting at the counter and watching the cook make everything on the flat top griddle. I recently had the opportunity to come by with my kids and found myself ordering the same meal I had enjoyed with my grandparents many years ago. This place hasn't changed much in all that time and it was very nostalgic to be back. My kids and I enjoyed our cheeseburgers, fries, and drinks and look forward to returning

A no nonsense old school awesome burger joint with great simple food and a retro decor. Prices are fair and people are friendly - and - they have poutine (if u don't know what this is - I can't help you).

Great place to get a good burger that will not break bank. Old school smash burgers, but they still have taste. Don't sleep on this place.

Parking is tough but you should be able to find street parking without a long walk. I knew the restaurant was small and was worried we'd have trouble finding a seat because of that. However, we were the only customers in there for a solid 10 minutes when we first arrived. The restaurant itself was adorable! Small but nicely decorated and furnished. I appreciated the stars on the ceiling. The staff were friendly and gave us as much time as we needed with the menu before we ordered at the counter. I had the chicken empanadas and the shrimp poboy. The food came out quickly and was piping hot and fresh. The empanadas were excellent. Great flavor and tasted high quality. I found them to be a little oily but that wasn't anything a napkin couldn't fix. The shrimp was cooked well and I liked the sauce it came with. Their bread was also super soft and tasted freshly baked. Definitely something I'd consider ordering again! Overall, I'd definitely come back to the White Owl and would love to check out more things on the menu.

From the moment the dishes started arriving at the table, it was clear that this kitchen takes pride in bold flavors, fresh ingredients & beautifully prepared classics. The appetizer menu was simply too tempting to choose just one item, so we decided to order a variety to share which was an excellent decision on our part because every bite was outstanding! We started with the Chicharrón de Calamar, perfectly crispy breaded calamari that had a satisfying crunch without being heavy. It was served with banana peppers & a trio of sauces that elevated the dish even further. The sauces included a vibrant green spicy sauce with just the right kick, classic ketchup & a creamy dressing reminiscent of thousand island. Each one complemented the calamari in a different way, making every bite a little adventure. Next came the Ceviche de Marisco: fresh seafood marinated in a tangy citrus lemon sauce with herbs & spices, served with sweet potatoes, onions & corn. The seafood was marinated in a tangy citrus lemon sauce creating that signature refreshing ceviche flavor & beautifully balanced with the veggies which are traditional accompaniments that added sweetness & texture. Another standout was the Causa Rellena de Pollo: mashed potatoes marinated in aji amarillo with a filling of chicken salad, mayonnaise, fresh avocado & black olive. This dish was as visually appealing as it was delicious! For the main dish, we shared the Lomo Saltado, a classic that never disappoints. Tender stir-fried chicken was tossed with chopped onions & tomatoes in a savory soy-based sauce, creating that irresistible balance of Latin & Asian influences that Peruvian cuisine is known for. It was served over fluffy white rice with crispy French fries, which soaked up the sauce beautifully. Overall, this was a fantastic meal full of flavor & authentic Peruvian flair. Ordering a little bit of everything made the experience even more enjoyable, allowing us to explore different textures & tastes from across the menu. Shark Bar delivered a memorable dining experience & definitely a place worth returning to for anyone who appreciates vibrant, well-executed Peruvian food. NOM NOM NOM #YUM

I have been here on multiple occasions myself and have introduced many of my friends to sharks. The staples that we always end up getting the appetizer trio (calamari, ceviche, paella), lomo saltado. Other items I've enjoyed are the fried sweet maintains, Yuka fries, there Peruvian Chinese fried-rice. I would say their portion sizes are amazing for the taste and price. In terms of drinks, they usually have a fun selection of Peruvian beers that you don't often get to sample. They have very good cocktails especially the pisco sours (try the Moarado one - Peruvian purple corn). The other reason I love Shark's is the huge parking lot and tons of seating, so I have never had to wait even without a reservation. In terms of ambulance, it's not as fancy/romantic as some of the other Peruvian restaurants in town, but I would highly recommend this place as a good-value, no-frills option!

I do wish the chimichanga was crispier though. My only minor critiques are the volume of the restaurant as it was loud in there. Also, for $4 a soft drink I wish my waiter was a bit more attentive and offered a refill. That's a pretty steep price but atleast the glasses were large! Its out of the way from where we live in Providence, but we've already been back twice since then. The #1 thing that I recommend is the tacos al carbon - which is a marinated taco using fork and knives. I usually prefer street tacos, but the al carbon tacos are absolutely amazing. The whole thing is incredibly tender because of the marination, super flavorful, and has a nice spice to keep it interesting throughout. Otherwise, I've tried their enchiladas, street tacos, and guac. First two are pretty good and guac was surprisingly disappointing. Ambiance is very fun, portion sizes are huge, staff are super friendly. All in all, I would highly recommend this place for the tacos al carbon if for nothing else. A solid option for a fun night out with friends, and definitely come hungry.
