Had a very bad experience at this place yesterday -- the service was very poor, despite it being not very busy with 3 wait staff to cover what were 3 occupied tables when we arrived. It took ten minutes for anyone to take our drinks order, and 15 more before our meal order was taken. Everything was supposedly entered into a hand held device, but the order came out wrong anyway: my omelet didn't have the ingredients for which I asked, and I never got the fruit that was supposed to accompany it. The eggs in both meals weren't cooked through, and the flavor-free meals took 20 minutes to arrive. When we tried to pay with a card the waitress inexplicably waved it aside and said, "I'll be back," but since we didn't want to wait the half hour we figured it would take for her to return we paid in cash, left a less than 10 percent tip (we usually tip 25-30% for good service) and left. We don't know what happened to this place -- it was fine for many years. But it appears to have changed hands since we last visited, and service is now languid and bad. Seriously, the only circumstances under which you should go here are when you have time for a 3 hour meal, badly cooked and flavorless. read more

I stopped for a quick breakfast. Just Yelped the local restaurant, and Green Eggs came up and close by. The restaurants ambience is a nice breakfast spot located in a small mall. The people working there were great. The Chourico Hash Benny was delicious and hot! Coffee was good, I drink it black, so it needs to be good. Great breakfast experience! read more

We hadn't been here in about 5 years, but we were in the area so we figured we would give it another try. I was glad to see that they had expanded into an adjoining space and had more tables since our last visit. But I can say with certainty that that will be our last trip to Green Eggs. Our party was three adults and one toddler; anyone who has waited tables knows that you are on a short clock when impatient kids are involved. The wait staff at Green Eggs, however, has clearly not learned this lesson. After waiting about 15 minutes just to get our order in -- and the restaurant was, at best, half full -- we flagged down a server and explained we were in a hurry. She immediately told us that we needed to have at least 25 minutes or some such -- I cut her off right there and told her we had time, but we wanted to get moving before our child ran out of patience. Nonetheless, there are at least two things wrong with her reply: 1. No apology or even acknowledgement of our wait, but only a curt instruction that we should expect a 25-minute wait in a half-empty diner! Impressively rude. 2. This is short order cooking; the kitchen should be turning and burning on this stuff, so the notion of such a delay for a quick meal is ridiculous. Once our order got in, we waited. And waited. And waited -- 25 additional minutes for: 1 pancake; 1 pancake and a scrambled egg; 1 eggs Benedict; and 1 breakfast sandwich. Nothing in here should take more than a handful of minutes, and I can't possibly imagine that were that many orders in front of us. Whatever the kitchen is doing, they are doing it wrong. What a fantastic find! A lot of times, you hit a breakfast joint and everything is the same. Just different names but similar dishes. This place stands out. My wife had the Fritta. Baked bean cakes with scrambled eggs, avocado and salsa. She said it was fantastic. I had the home style chourico hash and that was amazing. Solid tasty breakfast! Our party of 4 was seated immediately, we were greeted and offered drinks right away and given an appropriate amount of time to consider our order. Everything came out good, was filling and the portions were solid. Don't let the single pancake meals deceive you, they are filling and we have left. Kids are the Small Belly pancakes which came with a little fruit, bacon and a whip cream smile. We had two of the Milley specials, one with eggs over medium (cooked exactly to order) and scrambled. Overall, we will be back and would recommend this to anyone out for breakfast. 4 stars almost 5. If the menu was a little "fancier" or had some fun specialty it could be better. read more

We went early on a Sunday Morning and sat outside on the small patio. They had no one dining inside, but the patio tables were socially distanced. Everyone wore a mask, and the service was great. I ordered Milly's Choice ($5.95) 1 Egg, 1 pancake, spuds & 1 bacon, 1 sausage. The eggs were scrambled very well, (not wet and not overcooked.) Bacon and sausage were good as well and the pancake was HUGE! I could have gotten real maple syrup, but I knew I couldn't eat the whole pancake so didn't bother. The atmosphere is kind of diner-esque so I would not recommend for a more upscale brunch, if that's what you're looking for, but it's definitely tasty and reasonably priced. This was a great find thanks to Yelp last weekend when we found ourselves craving for brunch in our way to a hairdresser appointment in Bristol, RI. It's an informal and very popular family dining experience in a small shopping plaza just a couple of miles from the Bristol coastal village, with plenty of parking, friendly waitstaff, and quick seating. Servings were generously large, and the fresh mixed fruits included in their waffles and pancakes included chopped pineapple, a hint of tropical flair in their menu. This impression was further confirmed when I heard Spanish spoken by some of the staff and patrons, and the featured Dominican and Italian sausage in several of their entrees , as well as chourico hash, and banana stuffed french toast, which brought forth the hearty ethnic culinary influences of the area. This is a little family place tucked in the back of a office complex type place. We love to pop in here on a sat morning if we get up early enough. Trust me - get there early. there is usually a line by the time we are leaving. it's small, maybe 15 tables? and some counter seating, if that's your gig. it's "basic" in that the menu is consistent and a not too big or too small. Go basic bacon and eggs or go bolo roll with whatever goes with that! Build your own omelet or egg white scrambler.. always fresh veggies and always cooked to order. The staff is super nice to us. Seriously, each and every one of them are top notch. The queer o meter is a 10. we like that. Definitely look this little joint up and enjoy a great breakfast. It may be the best in the area as other reviews state, but I don't know because this is the first breakfast place I've been to In Bristol. It certainly doesn't compare to Lexi-Lu's in Westport or even Kathy's Cafe there; better coffee, more expansive menu, more flavorful food. Based on reviews I expected a more expansive menu although this one was adequate and probably more expansive than your average place. I think the coffee was just okay but I grind my own so I really appreciate that level of coffee. The blueberry muffin was a disappointment for me because it was made with a corn muffin and blueberries and I don't like corn muffins. Service was good. It was $21 for Eggs Benedict, a muffin and coffee, with a $4 tip. read more

Green Eggs is a breakfast restaurant. It is cash only. They have an ATM! A bit pricey. Portions are average, with the exception of oversized pancakes. I like their coffee. It is strong enough to get your attention! I don't like their bacon. It's hard and dry. Probably something fancy, but I don't like it! The restaurant has a bar, a few tables for two, and three or four tables for 4. It can get busy. I have been weekends and have waited in line. Trying to think of anything unique, I have seen some Portuguese influences here and there. Chourice here and there. That's about it. read more

So good and so much food! My husband and I don't go out to breakfast very often, but since it was the last day of "holiday" eating and we were back to the diet the next day we decided to splurge. We wanted to go to a place we hadn't tried before and chose Green Eggs based on the reviews of my fellow Yelpers. You didn't steer us wrong. First off, CASH ONLY!! There will be numerous signs saying this before you get to the table, so there isn't any excuse for no cash. There is a Citizen's Bank with an ATM conveniently located in the plaza. We went early on a Sunday morning to beat the crowd, so there was no problem getting a table, but it isn't that large and I can see where the wait would be long during peak times. We both opted for omelets and shared an order of chourico hash. Get the chourico hash. It was delicious and delightfully spicy. Omelets are made with three eggs and my ham, cheddar and broccoli omelet was enormous. The ingredients were quality and there was no skimping on filling. It was delicious. Omelets are served with toast (I opted for rye) and red bliss potato home fries, which were also good. It wasn't cheap, but for the quality and amount that we got, I have no complaints. The coffee was adequate. I prefer a bolder roast, but that's just me. The waitress came around at least four times to keep our mugs filled to the top. Definitely worth a visit. read more
