AJ's an absolutely great breakfast place, there is usually a line waiting to get in but we got lucky today. We were greeted and seated right away. The place feels like one of those places you would go to when you were younger local, friendly with your regulars. The prices are very reasonable. The service is A+ the food was served fast and hot, everything meet my expectations. It's a local Warwick diner, very laid back. I will say they are a cash only but do have an atm machine. I can understand why this diner is always bustling. Don't forget to grab a muffin or cookie made fresh daily

Another great breakfast at AJ's. Service was great as usual. This place runs like a well oiled machine, with everyone working together. I went for the special of Cannoli waffle. It was a bit sweet, but so delicious! You don't even need the side of warm syrup served with it. Can't go wrong here!

Oh. Em. Gee. Griddled muffins! I dream of these! My in-laws live in Rhode Island so when we visit, AJs is always on the agenda for breakfast! The food is delicious but those muffins!! And my husband enjoyed his English muffin done on the griddle as well!!

Be prepared to wait to be seated at this very popular breakfast spot. Also bring cash! The choices for everything seem endless. There were 6 of us plus a toddler. Everyone but the 11 year old ate well, he is a notoriously poor eater. He did take his French toast with blueberries home but was unhappy that the blueberries touched the butter. I was so happy with lovely large cinnamon bun, sliced, grilled and served with butter. The fruit cup for the toddler was beautiful. The service was excellent.

I have been coming here since I was a little girl. This was my grandmother's absolute favorite place to grab breakfast. I continue this tradition by taking my own kids here. The food is consistently cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The friendly servers have become familiar faces. This place has an old school, no frills diner vibe to it. Decent prices, delicious food, and good size portions make this restaurant a "go-to" spot for brunch.

Omg this place is amazing! We went two days in a row for breakfast and loved it both times!! They also have so many iced coffee flavors to choose from! I hope to be back here again some day! Cash only diner, but has atm. No complaints here!

Had a good breakfast there a few months ago. Service was good. It was very busy but it moved quickly. Solid meal and reasonable prices. I would have loved some turkey bacon or chicken sausage but had a good veggie omelet.

Awesome food I love it It's just bad that they say they take cards but when you go to use it, they tell you there's a ATM. I don't understand that part.

I'm always in the area, have driven by and seen how busy it always is and now I know why. Super upbeat and sweet staff. Such a cozy space, but also bigger than expected. Breakfast classics done well, a long list of coffee flavors, and it's so cheap. I'll definitely be back.

In the area and Yelped for a good place for breakfast. Thank you Yelp and all the previous reviewers. Fabulous. There was a line but as others said it moved fast. The person seating us planned to take us into the back but she saw us eyeing a table being cleared in the window and offered it to us. That level of awareness is unusual in a busy place. A seemingly endless offering of iced coffees. We had chocolate cappuccino. I'm not much for flavored coffee but had to try it. It was good. Wife had the scrambled omelet with ham, cheese and spinach and loved it. Took half home. I had eggs over easy with bacon and home fries. Maybe the best breakfast potatoes ever. Servers were very nice, helpful and efficient. Every employee does everything making the service super smooth and fast. This place rocks!

She showed me to my table, brought a carafe of water, and welcomed me in. I was quickly welcomed by Sergio, my server, who shared the special and the soup of the day. Once I ordered my soda I took in the ambiance of the bar, new lights, and the rest of the restaurant. It's not a large building but they make every inch count. Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. I will absolutely be back to the Shanty next time I'm in town.

The fries were great, sandwiches were also really good! Would like to come back and get one of their main dishes as they all sounded pretty good. We got the bread pudding for dessert (sorry forgot the photo) but that was really good!! Would get again.

There is no 'handicapped parking' specifically for Gel's due to the way the parking lot is designed. There is a small vestibule between the outside and the inside where you will find a community food pantry. Take something if you need it, or leave something for your neighbors. This is such a lovely offering and very much in line with Gel's local community mind set. The doors into the vestibule are heavy glass and metal. Seat yourself in one of the booths. When they remodeled they added a small bar to the back area if you prefer counter seating. They offer a variety of mimosa flavors at breakfast and beer and wine at lunch. Although I suppose if you want a beer with your eggs, have at it. The front and side walls have large windows making the interior bright. They offer so many specials. Check out all the white boards on the back wall above the counter seating. These are in addition to their standard menu. Breakfast items include egg based meals (eggs & bacon & toast for ex.), pancakes, hash and lots of al la carte sides. Coffee is good and comes with free refills. The lunch menu includes sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps and they have a kids menu too. They also offer Kino if you like. They sell Gel's merch (holiday gifts?) and decorate for all the holidays.

The restaurant has a tree house in front of the entrance which explain the name of the place. Inside is beautifully decorated with flowers, books, old books and decorations. It's a busy place so we made a reservation. We were taken to one of the table and were seated right away. They offer various different type of dishes including sandwich, seafood, mac and cheese, salad, pizza and more. We ended up getting few things to share with the group. We got tree house tavern salad, special Thai mussel, sweet potato pizza, lobster mac and cheese, and whipped feta and ricotta. Everything end up arriving all at once. Treehouse tavern salad was slightly sweet and refreshing with candied walnut, apple and vinegary dressing. Thai mussel was flavorful with hint of Thai curry and coconut flavor. The broth paired very well with baguette. Sweet potato pizza was cheesy and savory with hint of sweetness from the sweet potato. Lobster mac and cheese was cheesy and flavorful with lobster chunks. Whipped feta and ricotta was sweet and savory pairing well with the baguette. All the food was tasty and easy very unique for the most part. We also had their desert which they bring full samples of all their desert to show. We ended up sharing cheese cake because we were pretty full. Service was good but the place was but the server was but awkward as little details were missing from the service. Lack of trays for mussel shells, brought desert with candle as it was my birthday but was blown out because of the fan. The server turned off the fan but left it off so it was hot inside for a while. I think service could use a bit more attention. Overall the place was good and food was excellent. They offer unique dishes you don't often find in other restaurants. The ambience is also nice and it reminds me of old time tree house. I would go back again m.

My fiancé and I ordered the Dominican breakfast, its eggs over medium, fried cheese, fried salami, mashed plantains with onions. Now I'm Hispanic and I love me a good Dominican breakfast but this was one of the best I've had ever! And trust me I've had many! Firstly the salami and cheese pieces were nice and big, I'm used to people being cheap and making them very small. Also we did pick up- so we were there a few waiting as it was made fresh, which I appreciate! The server I wish I would've got her name had us have a seat at the bar and got us water while we waited. She was such an aunty vibe and I loved it. I was observing others who were sitting down eating and their food looked so yummy! They were also equally out loud expressing how much they enjoyed their food. Also the plates are all decked out and even the tables they gave off love vibes! This place while very small, packed a punch. Me and my fiancé are going to come back probably this weekend to sit down and enjoy a meal and I'm so excited. Give this place a go for sure.
