Just moved to the area and stopped in at the COZY spot on a snowy New Years Day. The large parking lot allowed for ample parking. At first walk through the doors I felt at home. I loved the look inside of the home feel but also the look of the traditional home style dining room tables they use! Their menu is large, their staff is friendly, and their food is SO yummy. Ordered takeout online. Chocolate chip pancakes, a breakfast sandwich and home fries. I LOVED the home fries. Everything was piping hot. Good food but on the pricey side- $14 for the pancakes and $15 for a breakfast sandwich and home fries. Plenty of parking. Food was ready when I arrived and staff were friendly. This is our go to Restaurant for breakfast. The quality of the food is consistent. The service is good and they have great tasting coffee. You may have to wait 5 to 10 minutes on a weekend however it's worth the wait. read more

Great atmosphere. I truly thought the service the entire time from the hostess to table service was outstanding. The food was sadly not as good. Serving portions were small including being a two egg for my Portuguese omelet. I hope to return to try another time as my wife lives eggs benedict and there's an entire benedict menu. read more

I was very disappointed when I found that the spinach and feta omelet had very little Feta in it. In fact, what Feta I finally found was very skimpy-tiny granules. No excuse for such a lame $15. omelet! "Family" cutting corners. Shame. I asked the waitress for a refill on my water. She took so long getting it to me that I thought had pump it out of a well somewhere. Not real thrilled about the idea of returning. We came in at 8:30 on a Thursday morning, we were sat and served right away, we ordered a mimosa, the cozy special, the turkey Benedict (think of a Thanksgiving sandwich but turned into a Benedict) and a Mickey pancake for the baby, everything came out quick and warm and everything was delicious!!! A delicious breakfast spot with a cozy family feel. This place can get busy so please be warned! I have had amazing breakfasts here with tasty eggs, bacon, and perfectly cooked veges. The homefries also stand out here, more akin to Lyonnaise potatoes than a traditional 'chunk' style found in most breakfast spots. Please note, we have had kitchen misteps here on busy mornings. The positive is, our waitstaff always fixes the issue promptly and with deepest apologies. It happens, but perhaps they could use an expeditor in the kitchen when staffing levels allow. read more

This is the first That I've ever written, but I think it should be done. My omelette came in less than three minutes was cold(speed does not make a good meal). The meat inside was cold. The cheese on top was fake cheese it was never gonna melt. I sent it back. It came back in less than two minutes as cold as it left, only difference was the home fries were cold I felt bad for the waitress that she had to deliver subpar food, but it didn't seem to bother her. A total waste of $15 which is a fair price for a good omelette ...though the toast was very good and warm and I ate all of it i've been there a few times and had good breakfast. The egg was like the thinest sheet of paper it couldn't have even been one egg( it was like paper) that wrapped the horrible vegetables and speck of cheddar cheese. Came here for Father's Day on a whim and was pleasantly surprised at the comforting ambiance and vibrant feel of the establishment. It was a packed house but I was seated immediately with my daughter. The waitress was quick to ask for our drinks and bring them to the table. I ordered the surf and turf Benedict and it was everything I hoped for and more! The scalloped home fries were a nice addiction and full of flavor. My daughter enjoyed her eggs bacon and pancakes but said she'd get what I had next time haha. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely be stopping in! read more

A breakfast joint The first Cozy Grill started in 1981 and opened up a second location in Coventry in 2010. I guess two locations doesn't exactly make it a chain restaurant and it still has a local owned, home town feel. The Cozy Grill serves lunch and dinner as well as breakfast but seems to be one of those old fashion breakfast joints that all the locals go to eat in the morning. The breakfast menu is what you would expect, lots of different things but nothing particularly unusual. The portions are huge and the price reasonable, just like you would expect from a place like this. The restaurant is fairly large and has a few cool old pictures hanging off the walls but nothing really interesting. People come here for food and not ambiance. The omelets are excellent, service prompt, building clean and coffee endless. Can't ask for much more than that to start the day. read more

Expected it to be busy as we waited a little to seat, but very long wait (almost an hour from when we preferred our food) then we're told that there was no strawberries when we ordered "The Patriots special". Food was decent but wait even for that busy was a bit much. Waitress was okay and not as friendly as one would expect. Won't return to this establishment. read more

This place is homey and great for breakfast and lunch. I'm not giving it 5 stars due to the fact that they never want you to sit in the patio!! I think it's too much trouble for the servers so the customer doesn't get what they want. In summer I always look for places with outdoor seating because it's a long winter that I'm inside. So when I choose to go to a place with a nice patio and they tell me I can't sit out there it's really annoying!! The food is good and it's a nice atmosphere. read more
