Fast service, friendly waitress and delicious food. We both had eggs, home fries and their incredible Portuguese sweetbread in place of toast. My only complaint is our food came out not all that warm and it wasn't busy in the restaurant.

So currently on vacation and my home area of Massachusetts, by recommendation decided to try cornerstone, bakery and restaurant? Been around since 1985 completely missed this place, all things considered I'm sorry I missed it! Cute little place. Family owned sat down with my family and believe it or not people my mother sister and wife have not seen in over 20 years. Came to our table with a very warm welcomes with one on top of the staff which made us extremely welcome and hands-down the food was fantastic! Bacon, crisp, well presented sausage patties massive pancakes fluffy delicious, just fantastic constant check back by the server who seem like she was part of our own family. I'll let the picture speak for themselves, but this was a great experience and if you're in the area stop on by phenomenal. I have spoken

The Elvis. 2 slices of sweetbread covered in peanut butter, bananas & whipped cream with a couple of slices of yummy bacon. Oh Yum!!!

Cornerstone has been a longtime favorite of ours, so much that we needed to take a break & try a few other places nearby. (One came & went before the 1st snow. It was a cute little place too). Anyway, after a few months break, we went back in late this morning. We received an "old friend" kind of greeting from Judy, a longtime server. This is a family owned & run establishment..I think I heard her say to another guest she had been serving tables there 40yrs?! ( she only looks 35)? Don't believe that 40 yr fact?? Lol. The menu format has a new look. Easier to read but I think most of them old favorites were on the new menu with some exciting new additions. One od the new additions jumped off the page at me & I had to have it. " The Elvis". Im not a crazed Elvis lover except for this plate. It is not a keto friendly or diabetics friend. 2 slices of sweetbread covered in peanut butter & bananas with whipped cream & a couple of slices of bacon. Bring your cardiologist with you to breakfast & he can have his poached egg and berry bowl waiting for you to need his medical assistance. If you don't make it out alive, you can say Elvis left a smile on your face for your last meal. It's so good, you'll remember it for a while. Can you say that about your last rice cake? Staff is always happy in the diningroom. Bakery counter staff is hit or miss as far as happiness factor. They really have improved the bakery counter offerings. Eye candy to get you taste buds going.

Eggnog French toast and home fries

Looking at this gem from the outside you might never guess what a treasure it is. From the friendly and attentive server to the big portions to the scrumptious food, this place is on my Places To Go Again and Again! And it's an hour's drive one way. My spouse had the sweetbread breakfast sandwich which included home fries. Home fries are one of those side dishes that seem deceptively easy but fail so often. Cornerstone gets 'em right. I had the eggnog French toast special and home fries. We were both impressed with our orders. I forgot to grab a photo until I was almost done. We followed up lunch with a visit to the bakery side. So many gorgeous pastries and baked goodies! I got two cannolis and my spouse got a cinnamon roll. They definitely did not disappoint.

Today was our first (and not last) visit to The Hamilton Diner. We go there at 11:00am on a Tuesday…read more(day after Labor Day just to keep the metrics in place) and the parking lot was packed. We did, however, find one about 4/5 of the way into it. Entrance way is at the end of a ramp, which I would interpret as a fairly tight squeeze if I was in a wheelchair. However, there was a fellow in an electric wheelchair making his way down the ramp as we were coming up, and we all made it up (and down) easily enough with just a pause. Hostess desk is immediately in the entrance. Very personable lady said it'd be a 25-minute wait, and that was pretty accurate. I gave her my phone number and received a message to download Yelp! including a "Your place in line" feature. Benches to sit and wait - one outside and three inside. We were 4th in line, and then 2nd, and then 1st. I felt a vibration from the phone but saw no message. So I went to the desk to check, and they were ready anyhow with 4 empty tables. Seated us quickly and our waitress Ashley was there in short time. Paula (wifey) ordered some Egg Sandwich and a small order of French Toast. I ordered Southern Benedict, which was a buttermilk biscuits base, topped with a fried chicken patty, 2 poached eggs, and smothered in a creamy sausage gravy, and it came with an order of home fries. We were both very happy with the flavor and portions. In fact I was rather full and didn't eat the last 3 or 4 bites. I also had an iced coffee, which was nice and strong. The place is very much where neighbors and families meet and greet. Lot's of "Norm!!" moments. Pricing if fairly average -- it was (with a 20% tip) $45 for us two. My only complaint had nothing to do with the restaurant, but with adults who don't know how to tell a kid not to do shrill whistling in a restaurant. No more details on that. Again, not the restaurant's fault. We definitely would like to go there again, especially to order some bacon, as that, in my estimation, is a very important factor for breakfast -- I just didn't have any reason for it this time, what with the chicken and the sausage gravy.

Our visit was amazing and spectacular our server Andrew was friendly and professional…read more We had the stuffed flower blossoms as an appetizer wowza was it something special !!! Everything else was just as good.

After failing to squeeze in nine holes before sundown at Swansea Country Club and playing…read moremiserably, my friend and I needed an emotionally supportive meal. My friend had been to the Aviary before and spoke highly of it, and after scanning the menu, I also thought it was a great selection. It was around 8:15 pm when we arrived so we luckily just barely made it before the kitchen closed and we were able to be sat outside. We started with drinks - a Maracuja (which translates to passion fruit in English) and Lychee Martini - both were excellent! They were refreshing, not overly sweet, tasted just like the fruit advertised, and didn't have a ton of ice. All the appetizers made my mouth water just by reading them on the menu, but we decided on the garlic rosemary wings to keep it classic. The menu said they'd be jumbo wings, but they looked like normal size to me which I was actually pleased about since jumbo wings scare me (they're usually raw closer to the bone). They were very crispy on the outside which almost dried them out, but the garlic and rosemary infused butter did bring them back to life a little. I could taste both the garlic and rosemary in the butter and the parmesan cheese shavings were a great touch. For entrees, I ordered a CT style lobster roll and my friend had the swordfish (with fingerling potatoes and asparagus). On Wednesdays, a lobster roll is $20 which is a really good price especially since it also comes with homemade chips. They give you an option between CT style (warm and lobster tossed with butter) and New England style (cold and tossed with mayo and lemon), so I learned something new that day. The bun was buttered and toasted, and it was stuffed with a good amount of fresh lobster meat, and mixed with a light amount of butter. The chips were crunchy, seasoned, fresh, and tasted like real potatoes but just a millimeter or two thicker. The swordfish was flavorful, moist, and did not taste fishy at all. The fingerling potatoes were soft and flavorful as well. They also brought us out an order of fries and they were quite good, maybe missing some salt but I liked that there was a variety going on such as crispy, oily, soft, long, short, edges etc. Our server was great throughout the night; brought us everything we needed without checking in too often. Even though they were closed, the staff did not make us feel like we had to rush out; they were rather patient and we left around 9:45 pm. Both the inside and outside of the restaurant are very nice. The inside gives classy, and the outside gives great space for laughter and good vibes. They even have a section with lawn chairs over turf with string lights. The entrance/exit path is also very nice, with hydrangeas, roses, and other flowers on either side, a white arch, and string lights too. Overall very pleased with the ambiance, quality of food, prices, and service.
