OMG! So many details were thought out perfectly in this place and most mostly with the menu and the cooking. I started with a cocktail called the Polaroid. I can't tell you it was in it, but it was absolutely delicious. As was the French onion soup one of the best broths I've ever tasted. And then I have the duck liver mousse & three large toasts and greenery with pickled onions and three little soft dried apricots. It was so delicious. And for my main course I had the duck confit served over creamy sweet potatoes with a side of spicy kimchi and a sausage. Oh my gosh, was that good!! My meal was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. I was in heaven. My partner had the Moroccan chicken with some dried black olives, mixed cooked greens and long carrot ribbons very well cooked, but unfortunately, it was extremely salty. It needed some sweet potato something to kind of balance all that salt. So she didn't enjoy hers as much as I did mine. And for dessert, we shared a crème brûlée and oh the coffee was rich, so strong and delicious. Perfect ending to a fun time and great French meal! a treat!! Merci beaucoup!!

A bistro menu with wonderful food The staff was great and very professional. Appropriately friendly. Foodmates raved about the mac & cheese/lobster, tasty shrimp & avocado salad. Order the frites 'for the table' as soon as you order beverages. Very creative and flavorful' Morrocan chicken' My salmon niçoise was really salmon on a bed of string beans (delish but not what was expected) The 'touted' vanilla ice cream was not worth the calories but the crepe was consumed with glee by all Ez parking on street Nice neighborhood for the stroll (We love a full menu with desserts listed)

Stopped in for a very late lunch on the Friday after Christmas. The place was empty but the servers were awesome. We both had the French onion soup and shared a burger. Both were very good. The soup was hot and cheesy. The half of the burger was the perfect amount of food if you are not really hungry. Cool ambience, nice seat at the window overlooking the quaint town of Bristol. I would definitely recommend stopping in.

Very cute french bistro serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.. My first time going and had a tough time selecting from their brunch menu. My 3 friend's and I loved our breakfast waffles and fresh berries with the best whipped cream I've ever had. My friend had the lemon ricotta crepes which she said were the best crepes she's ever had. I enjoyed my cappuccino and we had a side of the cinnamon sugar popovers. I'll definitely visit again!

I brought hubby here for a date night a few weekends ago. I made our reservation via OpenTable, and used their rating system to decide on Le Central over other similarly popular date night options in the Bristol/Barrington/Warren area. We parked on the street and walked in a little before our reservation. The place was surprisingly sparsely attended, despite being a weekend night at prime dinner time. The good news was that we were given our choice of basically any table, and we picked one with a good view of the restaurant. To start, we began with the endive salad, which was hands down the best thing we ate all night. The endives were crisp and fresh, and were topped with toasted walnuts, sweet beets, tangy gorgonzola, and were just really delicious. Even thought we said we were going to share the salad, they took the liberty of plating it split for us. After that we tried the onion soup. It was extremely heavy, like perhaps it had cooked down too long. It was also weirdly boozy, like they deglazed the pan with something alcoholic and it hadn't cooked off yet. It was also very salty, and flavor-wise was not well-balanced. For dinner, he opted for the grilled Moroccan chicken and I went for the grilled lobster. His chicken was similar to my soup, not well seasoned, and had the wrong ratio of spices for the flavor they were trying for. My lobster was well cooked, but it was completely not salted at all, including the accompanying veggies which were bland and not seasoned. The food was so unimpressive, we opted not to stay for dessert and walked down the street and got ice cream elsewhere. If we had only had the salad, our experience would have been so different, but unfortunately it was the one-off in comparison to the rest of the dishes. Service was good and friendly, and the restaurant had a good atmosphere with decent prices, but they lost us on the either over seasoning or lack of seasoning. Would not likely return.

My drink had notes of rose which I found so different and delightful, though I ordered mine without egg white in it since I can't quite get into that cocktail ingredient trend. Everyone I've brought here has enjoyed their drink - glassware is pretty and photogenic but I do feel the portions are on the smaller side. Lots of other great stops in this plaza too, you could make a whole day out of this area without ever having to move your car. Everyone who works there is friendly and inviting, and even gave us a cute little amuse to start the night and the buckwheat shortbread to end. Here's everything we ordered: Agnolotti stuffed with tofu ricotta, with English peas, bacon, and a savory broth (my entree, I loved this - the broth was quite salty but the peas added a lovely freshness) Fazzoletti e funghi: local blue oyster mushrooms in a white wine cream sauce ‍ (my Mom's entree, also delicious and so umami) "Ivy rose" mocktail with grapefruit, prickly pear, and limeade (delightful!) Appetizers: fried squash blossoms stuffed with tofu ricotta in pomodoro sauce, and housemade focaccia with a trio of whipped butters (thyme and shallot, Calabrian chili, and smoked sweet onion). The ratio of butter to focaccia was more than double what we could use (we ordered more focaccia to spread it on!) but both of these apps were perfect. Foglia burger: house burger patty, tomato jam, garlic aioli, lettuce, onions, pickles, onion ring, housemade focaccia, and spicy agave parsnip fries (my dad's entree and to my delight he really enjoyed it!) Dessert: a gigantic slice of tiramisu (my favorite cake!). This was a huge slab, enough to share and have some leftover for breakfast. A little on the dry side for tiramisu but still really nice. Foglia is such a gem and we had a great time in Bristol, it's a beautiful town. The restaurant is small and cozy but was not too busy when we went. I highly recommend Foglia for a special occasion!

The first thing they…read morebrought was almost comical: a nickel-sized square of focaccia with a bit of jam and cheese. I have never in my life been served what I'd consider half a bite of food. I'd almost rather they bring nothing at all than a comically small piece of bread. My food (basil pesto pasta) was good but the quantities are quite small, especially for the price. TLDR: Don't come hungry or on a budget. The real reason for the low rating was the $34 mushroom entree. "Potatoes" here just means two bites of potato, which is kind of crazy considering how cheap potatoes are. "Carrots" meant 4 (kind of sad) carrots, and the mushroom (the main part of the dish) was so small it was comical. My dad was disappointed (he also wanted to love it here) and when they asked how it was, he gave his honest feedback. The waitress took the info back and he repeated his thoughts to the manager about the disappointing portion. He said he only got like two bites of potato and she said "oh they weren't in pyramids?" (Like that resolves the quantity of food?) He repeated again that it was about the quantity and was told "No one has said that about this." I suppose people must only have thought it... Felt really dismissive to say to someone, especially because this plate was apparently new (they said today was the first day they had it). They didn't comp anything or even discount it after the manager came over, which I feel like is standard practice when folks are unhappy with their meal. Felt like she just wanted to shut down the complaint rather than resolve it. They brought us, at the end of the meal, a "thank you" which was 2 lemon candies... there were 3 of us (not that we really wanted them anyway, but weird to not give at least one per person). The atmosphere is relaxed, the place is quite small in a sweet way and it's tucked away from the street, but I will never return. Ridiculous pricing for tiny portions. It felt like a SNL skit.

The drink menu was not very extensive. Our Asian salad cups appetizer tasted exactly like an Asian salad mix I've bought at the grocery store and looked like it too - I'm convinced that's exactly how they prepared this. My veggie burger had burnt edges and wasn't too enjoyable flavor-wise. It didn't help my overall impression that when I got takeout here another time, they totally butchered my boyfriend's name when we ordered over the phone, and we had a hard time picking up our order because of this (how you get "Stephanie" from "Anthony," I just really don't know). I think this place just gets lucky having a good location across from Independence Park and being close to but just out of the way from downtown. When we first showed up, it wasn't super busy, but the place was starting to get full, and we DID have to get a reservation to ensure that we weren't waiting/to make sure we were at our next spot on time. A fun little addition to this restaurant is that they also double as an ice cream shop which would have been the PERFECT dessert for me if I wasn't so full after my dinner. The indoor seating we were put in was a high top, but it was just enough room to seat 5 people comortably. I ordered the Bayview Burger paired truffle fries (chose to upgrade from normal fries), and it was the absolute most perfect choice! I also tried the Brussel Sprouts, but I would say if you like them crispy all the way through, these were not. I also had a fun mocktail with a dragonfruit (unfortunately can't find the name of the drink, but the picture is below) to pair with my food--I will say that while it was tasty, it was pretty sweet but was the perfect pair with my Bayview Burger, which was a bit on the saltier side. The burger I ordered (bacon cheeseburger with no bacon) was delicious. No complaints there and I will probably reorder. The only problem here was that I asked for sweet potato fries instead of regular fries, to which the waiter simply said okay. Turns out it was an undisclosed upcharge. Not only did he not tell me it would be $2.75 (or something like that) more, but the fries are listed as the same price online. When I told him that, he said that their online menu is really old (this is to say, don't look at it! and also, not sure why they wouldn't update it if they know it's incorrect). Sure enough, the printed menu also said nothing about an upcharge for a different fry, so ultimately I was able to remove the charge, but it was a little awkward and frustrating. My only other complaint is not particularly the fault of the restaurant, but I suppose just a side effect of the laidback vibes. A group of 7 or 8 people came in like 20 minutes after us and was so loud that I almost suggested we leave. My guess is they were drunk, but it was a Wednesday night around 6:00, so I wouldn't have expected that. They were so loud that I was yelling to my friend who was within arm's length. Totally changed the vibe and enjoyment for me.
