Get there before people find out how incredible this place, is because once they do, you won't be able to get a seat. This gluten free, egg free foodie has found her new spot! I am shocked by the amount of food we were able to order at such a reasonable price. They offer items that I haven't ever seen in the East Bay. Many are shipped straight from Peru and I am in awe of the flavors they brought to the table. The chicken melts in your mouth, sauces are one of a kind and absolutely incredible, not to mention what they have to offer is actually healthy for you and they're able to tell you why. She had me at "this will help lower your blood pressure". Such a cute, quaint esthetic with very comfy seating and lighting, which is so important for my very sensitive self lol. I cannot wait to go back next Monday!

Large portions for this type of cuisine, solid flavor profiles, fairly Americano to suit the less adventurous local palates. Solid experience, no surprises.

I recommend you get to this place before too many people learn about it. Friendly staff and a personal feeling went into the whole experience. The food is excellent, different, and made with enthusiasm for flavor. The ingredients are Peruvian and everything is made from scratch.

Absolutely fantastic dinner. The food was fresh, made to order and unbelievably flavorful. We received a delicious app courtesy of the Chef, which included plantains and Peruvian corn with a variety of house made sauces - all delicious. Our table ordered one of each appetizer on the menu and couldn't decide which was our favorite! I regret not taking more photos, as each dish was as colorful and beautifully plated as it was tasty. They also had a musician playing traditional Peruvian music. The pisco drinks were top notch, I highly recommend the mango! I can't wait to go back soon!

The dish rivaled any ceviche I've had in Providence, Boston and traveling in Central America.

Within the last year or so they redid inside and made it hip and cozier inside. On my most recent visit I tried the peppermint creme brûlée latte and it was delicious and also got the breakfast burrito in a bowl. It was very filling and delicious. Service is usually pretty good. Something to note is the kitchen closes earlier than closing hours, so if you're planning on grabbing food make sure you give yourself enough time.

Tucked away in what was obviously once a domestic house and carefully transformed into a welcoming café, Kaffeology in Portsmouth feels like a well-kept secret. Although you can still feel the bones of the house, the conversion is tactful and sensitive, and the flow is surprisingly good for a coffee shop. It's the type of location where you naturally speak more quietly - not because you have to, but rather because the ambiance encourages serenity. The almond croissant went well with a well-pulled espresso and was fragrant and crunchy without being too sugary. The fact that Mrs. K. gave her latte the thumbs up is no small accomplishment. The sitting, both indoors and out, was varied enough to accommodate a short visit or a long morning, and the service was friendly yet unobtrusive. With just enough individuality in the décor to be well-curated without being fussy, the area exudes a subtle charm. Kaffeology is worth the trip if you're traveling through Aquidneck Island and need a restorative, rather than hurried, break. It aims to be terrific rather than trendy, and that's just what makes it memorable. [Review 1087 of 2025 - 90 in Rhode Island - 24641 overall]

One day we were undecided where to go... the typical "where do you want to go? " "I dunno, where do you wanna go?" infinite loop. We were driving on Wood street and she asked me if I wanted to try B&B. My gut instinct told me NO, IT'S VEGETARIAN FOOD. VEGETARIAN FOOD IS THE DEVIL!, but somehow I mustered up the strength to deny these thoughts and agreed to try it. I love a good restaurant that waits on you, so the idea of walking to a counter to get my food didn't make me excited. I looked over the menu and saw they had faux chicken sandwiches. They use seitan which I always wanted to try since it's insanely high in protein. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken. They also sell beer too which was cool. I got a Clownshoes IPA that I sipped until they brought the food to the table. The portion size of the sandwich is monstrous! I could tell by the sauce drizzle that I was in for something special. The colors from the cabbage slaw in the sandwich provided a solid presentation. As I bit into the sandwich, it had the chew of tender fried chicken and the seitan had some wicked flavor. I'm salivating just talking about it. The sauce had a nice sweet tangy heat which really set it off nice. We ordered fries which were nicely salted and served up with a little cup of aioli. Very good. Honestly, I never thought vegetarian food could taste this good and hopefully I don't regret posting this review and the place blows up and have to wait in line for hours next time. Lol! Thanks Basil and Bunny!

Well Basil & Bunny is an amazing suprise for lunch today as they hit the mark!!! Shared parking lot with ample parking. There is both inside and outside seating options here. From bar seating, to tables for two or four (can pull some together for larger party) plenty of arrangements for your party size. Inside has light music that does not interfere with conversation and even when packed still a quiet feel. Staff is very friendly and passionate about their plant based creations. Rotating monthly special dishes/bowls to enjoy. Plenty of sweet treat options to give a try as well. I grab a sunshine bowl with impossible crumble (seasoned tofu also an option) and came with plenty of flavor with its mix of seasoned veggies, brown rice, tortilla and lime herb dressing. I wanted to lick my plate clean!!! So if you are in Bristol and looking for a little bit of plant based greatness...Basil & Bunny has you covered!
