We tried 6 empanadas between us and they were flavorful and fun. I was happily surprised that the three were enough for a meal-I was smiling as I finished them. The spicy chorizo had a noticeable slight pepper to it, the chicken mushroom was fun with bechamel and the beef with cheese and bacon reminded me of a great Philly cheesesteak. The spinach was surprising in its deep flavor and light flaky crust. Definitely worth trying! The kind woman who helped us was pleasant, knowledgeable, and promptly prepared everything. We placed a large order through DoorDash, over two dozen empanadas, for a group of people waiting at home. The dasher picked up the food and then canceled the order. I called the restaurant immediately to explain what happened and try to find a solution. The person in charge was not interested in hearing any of it. He kept insisting I had canceled the order, blamed me repeatedly, and refused to move past that point no matter how clearly I explained the situation. He eventually got rude and hung up on me. Yes, he actually hung up. When a restaurant chooses to partner with DoorDash, they take on some responsibility for how delivery problems get handled, particularly on large orders. The right response is not to interrogate and blame the customer while a ready order sits on the counter. There was no attempt to help, no offer to make it right, just defensiveness from start to finish. We ended the night with nothing. A large group of people, no food, and an experience that left us worse off than if we had never ordered at all. If something goes wrong with your order, this is how Che Empanadas will treat you. We will not be ordering from them again, and I would strongly encourage others to think twice before doing so. read more

Quick in and out at this location. Parking can be difficult if it's busy around the area. Empanadas are crispy and moist. They're tasty. We orders a variety of twelve from spicy chorizo, creamy chicken, beef, chicken, and spicy chicken. I'd have to say I think my favorite is the spicy chorizo--packed with the most flavor over all. This place is very cute. If it wasn't raining, the outside area would have been a lovely place to sit and enjoy our empanadas and the afternoon. The indoor tables are tiny, but they served our empanadas on a lazy Susan that made it easy for the three of us to maneuver the tiny table. Empanadas are $3.50 each or $6 for $20. The meat filled empanadas are large, but the vegetarian and vegan empanadas are tiny and they cost the same amount which is kind of a rip off, but that's part of the price you pay to be vegan or vegetarian, which makes no sense at all. The meat empanadas are football shaped in a beautiful fresh pastry with a roping at the seam in a variety of flavors including beef, chicken and pork. The vegetarian and vegan empanadas are like mini quiches made in a puff pastry dough. The vegetarian ones are very cheese forward. The caprese is like pizza in a cup shape. I enjoyed the spinach one the best. My table mate really liked the corn one. Che Empanada is in the area around the new stadium and it's really turned into a lovely place with lots of good options. Che Empanada does a brisk take out business. Before we come back here we'll most likely try one of the other choices in the area. read more

I have ordered food from this place on a few occasions. Every time I received my order the empanadas were cold on the inside. The flavor is good but cold empanadas are NOT it. I placed a Grub Hub order yesterday and ordered a six pack of beef empanadas and a variety of other ones totaling 12 of them. I got half my order. I called and they were polite enough, but I said that they ones I got were cold too and she kept says "it's OK". I said no they are cold on the inside. She again said "it OK." I was at a loss for words. Long story short a lot of co workers didn't have a lunch and a lot of them ate a cold empanada. That's at least 12 people NEVER going to this place again. These are the best empanadas I've ever had! The filling is generous and the dough is so soft. I ordered 3 beef empanadas and 3 fatays, which totaled to about $21ish after tax. All of the empanadas are stored in a glass case so you can see what you're buying. They also offer to heat up your order for you if you're dining in! I think Che's is great! The flavors are nice and the staff there was kind when we went. The store front is very modern but the inside has a much older ambiance. I also come from a town where empanadas are popular. With that being said, I think the empanadas were small for their price. I had the beef clasico, creamy chicken, and chorizo empanadas. They were all delicious but my favorite was the beef clasico. I like how they tell you the prices for half dozen and full dozen like it is a discount if you purchase more. The price per empanada is the same no matter how many you purchase. I think they would be able to sell more if the half dozen were 1 dollar cheaper and the full dozen was 2 dollars cheaper. That being said, it is worth it and you should make your way to this spot. read more
