this review is for the food truck version of this establishment. they had a wide variety of arepas and they were flavored quite well. i got the arepa with beef, black beans, cheese, and plantains. i asked for my plantains on the side and they teased me about it lol but i just want my sweet and savory separate on that day. i also wish my cheese was melted from the heat of the beans and meat but it wasn't really. the price was pretty steep. for two arepas it was about $30 total and it prompts you to tip the establishment. my friend got the chicken mayo and avocado one which tasted like tuna salad to her. she does like tuna salad tho. the garlic sauce was really good but the dispenser was not working properly and it splattered onto my clothes and they just kind of watched me struggle with it. they were kind but disorganized.

I'm no expert on Venezuelan food, but I can say that the Pabellon Arepa I tried here was delicious! It was really flavorful and filling. The counter server was helpful answering questions. My only complaint was that I wanted a rice dish, but after watching her serve the dish to two people in front of me, she then told me they were out (it was dinner time, you're not making more?) It's always fun to try new dishes at the Worcester Market; Sabrosa Venezuela won't disappoint!

What a hidden gem here. Sabrosa Venezuela is located right in the Worcester Market. My first time trying some Venezuelan empanadas and definitely won't be the last. Stopped in at Doughnut homies and noticed Sabrosa so I wanted to give it a try. Placed an order of cheese, beef, chicken, and cheese & guava empanadas. Chicken, beef, and cheese & guava were my favorite. Loads of flavor. Chicken and beef were so flavorful. Same with the crust--moist and crunchy with loads of flavor. The sauces given were great with the empanadas too. Give it a try folks. Cheers

A small Venezuelan restaurant in the Worcester public market. They've upgraded from just a stall to having a bigger storefront closer to the entrance. I got a beef and cheese cachapa. It's big enough to split between people because there is so much meat inside. I really enjoy the corn tortilla and the melty cheese with liquid gold butter. They also sell empanadas, arepas, as well as desserts and drinks. A great place to stop by for lunch!

they no longer use the authentic cheese, they seem to have switched to mozzarella instead :( disappointed

Its amazing how such a small place has such a variety of fantastic Venezuelan food, drinks and groceries. The people who work there are also incredibly nice and accommodating. Best so far for me: chicha, passion fruit juice, pabellon and cheese empanadas, arepa pelua, arepa rumbera and the pan de jamón during Christmastime is great too. Don't miss this place!

the tres leches had really good flavor but the cake did not absorb the leches that well and wasn't quite the right texture for a tres leches cake in my opinion. Still good and i'd come back to try their empanadas.

So glad to have found Worchester Public Market by pure chance during a family road trip. A lot of good options in the market but someo about Sabrosa really stood out (in addition to the impressive 12' tall woman mascot). Everything looked appetizing but took a chance with the chicken patacon (actually I couldn't decide so they gave me a mix of both chicken & beef - yay!) Delicious & very good portion size (based on my completely subjective 9/10 hunger scale). The fried plantain texture was spot on- perfectly crisp on the exterior while retaining a nice semi-soft center. The dish includes cabbage & carrots, but those are more of a garnish to compliment the meat & cheese - so get your veg elsewhere if you want greens. The wait time was a bit long, but staff were friendly and took time to explain the various dish options. Limited seating is available inside, which is nice if you're not feeling like mingling with the general market-goers. All in all a solid meal & restaurant worth a try.

My chicken empanada was really good, freshly fried and the filling was very flavorful. My family enjoyed their dishes as well.

I believe our waitress was Sylvanna. We ordered Sangria, a Negro Modela, & a hot tea to drink. For appetizers we chose the Trio De Empanadas (Queso Blanco, Domino, & Mechada) we added a single Verde. They were served perfectly cooked, and once we divided each one into thirds they cooled to a comfortable eating temperature. They were served with a garlic sauce, (aioli based?) that was delicious. I think our favorite was the Verde (I believe it had mushrooms & peppers in it). For our entrees, we ordered the Cordera, Costillita, & Parailla Caraquena. My husband loves lamb and was very happy with the Cordera. The Costillita was baby back ribs that were tender and flavorful. The Parailla Caraquena was grilled chicken, a portion of steak, and chorizo. My husband and I normally don't like chorizo but theirs was spicy but not greasy. Two of our plates came with fried yuca. I had never had this before and it reminded me of a large French fry. We did not have room for dessert, maybe next time.

I recommend getting here earlier if that's what you're craving. We ended up getting the empanada trio, the Pabellon Criollo (which I did not realize also had plantains), the maracuchitos and the tostones. Yes, all the plantains in the menu. It kind of happened by accident but it worked out great. We got our food incredibly fast! Everything was delicious. However, the tostones and the empanadas were my favorite. I also had a maracuya juice, which was sweet and refreshing. We really liked our waiter, we was very nice and attentive. I wish I remembered his name to give him a shout out. I really enjoy the food from Orinoco. Historically, I had only gone to the restaurant in the South End but I'm glad to see the one at Harvard Square maintains the same flavors. I can't wait to be back for arepas.

Some of our favorite dishes are the Cazuela de Frijoles (Beans Casserole), served with rice, sweet plantains, and eggs. It's simple comfort food, but the flavors are absolutely amazing. We also really appreciate how accommodating they are , for example, they're happy to remove the pork rinds or chorizo from the cazuela if you ask. The pabellón is another standout . It contains perfectly seasoned shredded beef served with rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. It's hearty, flavorful, and feels like home cooking. Another must-order for us is the limonada tradicional, a fresh lemon-limeade that's perfectly refreshing and tart without being overly sweet. They bring out piping hot arepas with a delicious sauce for every table as a complimentary appetizer, which we love. The arepas on the actual menu weren't our personal favorite, but honestly, everything else we've tried has been outstanding. The menu/service is primarily in Spanish, so you may need to use Google Translate if you're not fluent, but it's absolutely worth it for such delicious food.
